- Michael wanting to know Natasha's every move because he no longer trusts her
- Andrew being aggressive towards Tash
- Summer letting Andrew know that they can't be together
Soccer Field
Andrew is moodily kicking a soccer ball around. He boots it hard at the goal but misses.
Number 22/Number 28
Andrew walks into number 22 and throws his soccer ball down. He starts banging around in the kitchen until an irritated Paul tells him to stop it. Andrew has a rant about how Summer is letting Tash win but Paul can't understand why Andrew would want to jump straight into another relationship so quickly, since he's young and should be playing the field. Andrew insists that Summer is not a 'mistake' like Tash was, so an exasperated Paul leaves him to it.
Meanwhile at number 28, Summer is having a counselling session with Chris. Summer can't be with Andrew because they'll always be reminded of the mess and she always thought that a first real relationship should be perfect. Chris reminds her that life is a little more complicated than that.
Number 30
Toadie and Sonya are cooking up a storm with very loud rap music in the background. They bicker a little about the chickpea curry (chickpea = legume), before Toad shouts out to Callum to turn the music down which he eventually does. Toadie thinks that perhaps they should have made Callum go to the funeral because he's acting out now, but Sonya uncomfortably tries to avoid the subject. They hear a loud banging noise and Callum walks in with the leg of the coffee table. Toadie wants to know how it happened but Sonya is quick to jump to Cal's defence and says that they can just buy another table.
Harold's Store
Lucas is eating alone when Toadie, Sonya and Callum walk in so Cal can get a drink before they go to buy another coffee table. Lucas tries to rile Sonya up about the calendar sales by saying the women are too scared to check the official sales numbers whilst the guys don't know their figure because they're selling too fast! There's more banging in the background as Callum is pulling things off the shelf so he can grab the pack of snakes at the back. Toad reminds him that they're there to get a drink while Cal gives him some attitude and a dirty look.
Bric- A- Brac Store
Toad has found a coffee table which is coming out of Callum's pocket money. As he goes to pay for it, Sonya offers Cal an ear should he ever wish to talk. As Sonya and Toad carry the table off, Callum finds a little monkey toy that seems to have some significance to him and he goes to buy it.
Harold's Store
Andrew has come to give some DVDs to Summer but she doesn't want to see him or take the gift. She can't be with him for the reasons she told him earlier but Andrew dismisses them as excuses and tells her that he loves her.
SUMMER: I've told you. Just leave me alone.
Andrew leaves in disappointment and we see that Paul has been sitting down and witnessed the whole thing, which is sort of creepy because I totally didn't see him there before.
Number 22
Andrew walks in followed not long after by Paul who tells Andrew off for wasting money on the DVDs. Andrew sarcastically replies that Paul is hardly one for relationship advice but Paul is unfazed. He still insists that Andrew is embarrassing himself by chasing after Summer because she won't just magically change her mind, and desperation is very unattractive.
PAUL: I know what I'm talking about. I've been around a lot longer than you.
ANDREW: Yeah and how is that working out for you? I mean, your last wife, she went and chucked you off a mezzanine and then she went and cheated on you. As a role model you suck, dad.
Number 22
After the commercial break, everyone has had time to cool off and Paul is awaiting an apology. When Andrew tells him that there won't be one forthcoming, Paul takes that to mean his point is proven and Andrew's judgement is impaired. Paul wants Andrew to man- up and take control instead of being a child.
Number 28
Chris has dropped by to hang out with Summer to make sure she's not alone. Summer still thinks that what she's doing is right but Chris counters that life is too short to be unhappy. Sum looks thoughtful.
Lassiter's Complex
Callum is looking thoughtfully at the monkey toy when Sonya sits down with him to check that he's OK. She offers a listening ear again as well as help with school but Callum jokingly tells her that his Year 8 work is too complicated for Sonya and Toadie. Sonya leaves him alone again and he looks at the monkey in his bag.
Bric- A- Brac Store
Callum has returned to the store to ask the shopkeeper if he knows where the toy is from. The shopkeeper tells him that it was from a TV show about 10 years ago and there were lots of the toys around.
Number 22/Number 28
Andrew and Summer are both doing the teenage angst thing in their respective homes. Andrew is sitting on the sofa unable to concentrate on anything and Summer finds a 'Summer of the Dead' button in her school bag and thinks of Andrew. Finally, Summer picks up her phone and texts Andrew: "Can I see you?"
Ramsay Street
Susan is out walking Audrey as she talks to Lucas about Libby at her Healing Centre (Lucas: "Hippy Retreat"). As Susan walks up to number 28, she sees Summer coming out to meet Andrew and wishes her luck. Summer has been thinking about what Andrew said, and she's about to tell him that they could give the relationship a go until Andrew surprises her by interjecting that they should probably give it a rest because of everything that's happened. Summer hastily agrees and looks close to tears.
Number 28/Number 22
Summer is actually in tears now as she calls Chris but only gets his voicemail and she leaves the message that she'll talk to him later. She sits on the floor crying. Meanwhile, Andrew is determined to think about other things as he asks Paul to look over his business proposal. As Paul talks him through it though, he completely zones out.
Number 30
Toadie is still concerned about Callum's moods but Sonya just says it's important that they're there for him. Dinner plans are changed from chickpea curry to pizza in an attempt to cheer Cal up. Toadie spots the monkey toy but Callum just says that he bought it at the second hand store for Charlie.
Later that night, Callum is sleeping with the toy in his hands as he dreams about a moment in his childhood. He sees the toy and a woman but he wakes up just before he can see her face.
Callum has bounded out into the kitchen scaring Toad who is getting a glass of water. Cal claims that he's out to get water as well which they put down to the pizza being salty. Callum however, has come out to throw the monkey in the bin.
