Number 30
Toadie jokes that the house looks like a graveyard when he enters and Sonya replies that she sent Callum out with Jade because she needs to tell him something - then tells him about Callum's Great Gran dying. Toad is stunned by the news and says that it's going to shatter Callum because she was his mum. He is then taken aback to learn that the funeral is this afternoon - apparently they had trouble trying to track Toadie down! Sonya asks if Callum will want to go to the funeral and Toadie replies he isn't sure but will give him the choice. He then notices that Sonya doesn't look too good but she puts it down as being worried for Callum.

Number 24
Its Kate's birthday and she opens the pressies that have been given to her, impressed at the candles she got this year from Harry. Lucas arrives to drop off a pressie and gets a nonchalant "thanks" from her when he hands the pressie to Sophie but when she gives her the pressie; Kate tosses it onto the table, refusing to open it just now at least. She cheers up though when Mark hands over another pressie - tickets for them to go to a salsa club in the city. Mark then has to prove that he can indeed salsa dance when she notices the tickets say "no beginners".

SOPHIE: Is there anything you can't do?!

"I haven't found it yet," he replies before they resume dancing.

Charlie's
Zeke and Summer talk about London while having coffee with Susan when the birthday girl (and Sophie) arrive and chat turns to Kate's birthday pressies... and the fact Mark is a god, well just about because he can do everything! "You don't want a perfect boyfriend," Zeke announces then explains that it means the female is then the weak link in the relationship! Susan and Summer totally disagree with what he's claimed but the comments have got to Kate by the body language she is showing.

Number 30
With Sonya watching on, Toadie tells Callum of Great Gran's death. "It's okay to cry mate," he tells his son but the only one who is crying is Sonya (although unseen by them but Jade notices when she enters the livingroom). Cal wishes he could have said goodbye to her before talk then gets round to the funeral - he isn't sure whether he wants to go or not. Jade tells him going isn't necessary but Toadie puts another slant on it - although it will be hard, he thinks going may help him although adds that they will do what feels right.

Just as Callum begins to reminisce about his Gran, Sonya can't control herself any more and fully breaks down crying. Callum immediately leaves Toadie's side to go and hug her momentarily before excusing himself to go and think about things.

Ramsay Street
Callum tells Sophie about his Gran - how when his mum dumped him, she had to get a job as a cleaner to help look after him. Sophie is quick to dismiss his feeling that it was him that caused her to be sick because she was tired from working/looking after him. He asks her advice on whether she'd go to the funeral if she were in his shoes and she compares it to going to her mum's funeral and admits that while it was full on, it did allow her to say goodbye.

CALLUM: I don't know what I am going to do.

Sophie puts a comforting hug round her friend as Sonya watches on from the front door of #30, still trying to get her emotions under control.

Number 30
Sonya re- enters the house and confirms to Jade that Callum is okay before asking that she not mention any more about the funeral - it has to be Callum's decision. Jade interprets this as meaning she's okay with Callum knowing about them/her but the conversation is curtailed when Callum re- enters the house having made a decision.

Toadie rejoins them and Cal announces that he wants to go to the funeral. Both then look puzzled when Sonya declares that she isn't going, giving the excuse that she isn't good at funerals, before rushing out of the room.

(Later)

Commercial break later and Toadie quizzes Sonya about why she won't go. "I can't go," is her flat refusal and Toadie reminds her it isn't about her, Callum needs then. "I know," she replies but Toadie is having trouble trying to figure her out, especially as she is still very teary. He reaches out to comfort her when she breaks down after telling him that she doesn't want to let either of them down. Although very puzzled by her, he agrees to talk to Callum if she really can't go.

Number 24
"Go action man," Zeke mutters when Mark springs into action after discovering there is water leaking when he, Summer, Mark, Sophie and Kate enter #24. Just as Kate is debating whether or not to call Lucas, Mark announces that the problem is sorted and ropes Sophie into helping him use the towels she got to mop up the excess water.

SUMMER: Mmm, so he's smart, he can dance, is great with his hands... I think this guy is perfect.

Charlie's
Kate ends a call to Harry and then wonders about her sister's glum face and she explains that she fells sad for Callum after hearing that his Great Gran has died. This earns her a hug from Kate before the two of them re- join Summer, Susan and Zeke to find that Mark did do everything right regarding the plumbing (Sum checked with Lucas) although the fact he lost to Lucas at darts does earn Kate's approval! That lasts until Mark leaves (work calling) and she discovers from Lucas that Mark threw the game so she is on a mission - to find Mark's Achilles heel... even if it kills her!

Lassiters Lake
Sonya retrieves an old photo of Gran, Jade and herself from her pocket and looks at it.

Number 30
Toadie and Callum get themselves ready for the funeral by cleaning their shoes.

Lassiters Lake
A worried Jade joins her sister and slips her arms round Sonya to comfort her. "I just wish we could go," Sonya says to her sister.

Number 30
Shoes done and as Toadie does Cal's tie, he asks if his mum will be there. "Your mum and your Gran weren't on the best of terms," Toadie explains before adding that he doesn't expect her to be there now.

Lassiters Lake
"I hate what I'm doing," Sonya says - being part of Toadie and Callum's life but living a lie.

Number 30
"Do you think Sonya will change her mind?" Callum asks as Toadie sorts his tie. "I don't think so," he replies but adds it doesn't stop them from going before he tries to give Callum possible reasons why Sonya doesn't want to go. "We don't have to do this if you don't want to," and Callum nods his head to acknowledge the point.

Lassiters Lake
Sonya is really cutting herself up about how much Toadie and Callum don't know about her, adding that when they go to the funeral "they are going to know it and it's all going to be over." Jade comforts her distraught sister as we head into the next commercial break.

Police station
Kate decides to confront Mark about his "perfectness" and wants to know what his flaw is and he reveals to her that he is a neat freak but she doesn't think it's a flaw!

Number 24
Sophie is bewildered at how organised their house now is, complete with little labels too courtesy of Mark's machine! Even Lucas is impressed when he drops by to collect his trainers although isn't so impressed at Mark straightening up the jar he moved so that the label is perfectly aligned front and centre!

"You seriously have to move back in," Sophie tells Lucas when Mark and Kate depart for the salsa club. "Not really up to me Soph," he reminds her but she admits her fears - psycho's (in horror films) love neat kitchens!

Number 30
As she checks Callum over, Sonya apologises for not going to the funeral but adds that she will be thinking of him. Callum asks, if they had a different funeral, would she go? Sonya explains that she doesn't want him to miss the funeral but his philosophy is that Gran never went to church and thinks she'd like something else better plus it would mean they could all be together. Toadie is in agreement with his suggestion and Cal comes up with going to the park to say their own goodbyes. "Are you sure Cal?" Sonya asks as Toadie goes to get out of his suit and he replies yes but then confides in her that he wants to find his mum.

(Later)

Final commercial break later and Sonya paces the floor waiting for Callum to come back having gone to change out of his suit. Before they go to the park, she quizzes him about the desire to find his mum.

CALLUM: I've got this memory from when I was little. It was late and something woke me up. I saw this shadow and I thought it was a monster, you know because I was a little kid, so I just froze so it wouldn't get me. There was a clinking noise and the monster went out the door. The next day I told Gran about the monster, she wouldn't believe me, so I took her to the spot where it was. That's when she saw it - my piggybank was empty. The monster was my mum. She snuck into my room, scared me, and stole all of my money.
SONYA: (struggling to keep it together) Cal.
CALLUM: That's why I want to find her for every terrible thing she did to me and Gran. I want to find her and tell her that I hate her.
