Toadie furious that Jade was snooping and telling her to leave.
After dinner Callum goes to watch TV in his room and Toadie reiterates that Jade has to go; she begs for the chance to make it up to him, but he refuses. Sonya defends her sister - Jade knows she overstepped the mark. She asks Toadie to reconsider, and he agrees to sleep on it.
Lucas announces to Lou and Summer that he's debt- free now - he's paid off the last of the money he owes Libby. Summer leaves - she's been borrowing books for Year 12, as all hers were burnt in the fire. Lucas explains to Lou that he's debt- free because he's been working like a dog and going without some things he's wanted. Lou wonders how he'll celebrate...
Sitting with a glass of wine in Charlie's, Lucas is flicking through a motorbike catalogue. Brennan asks if he wants a game of pool, then sees the bikes. He's impressed.
Karl wanders in on the phone to Donna who's calling from the plane - Karl worries he's being charged for the call! He tells Donna that Mark and Lucas are in Charlie's, too, and Donna passes on a message to them to 'follow their dreams'. Lucas goes all thoughtful. Karl is amazed how Donna can be inspirational from thousands of miles away.
Sonya and Jade come in and Jade tells her sister that she's taking Toadie to breakfast tomorrow to make it up to him. Sonya instructs her not to mess it up.
The next morning Jade and Toadie are at brekkie with two totally different breakfasts. Jade apologises for yesterday and says she wants to make things better. She knows it was wrong to go through his stuff. They talk AFL. Cut to music and they have opposite tastes there, too. However, they do have Jim Carrey in common as their favourite actor. Seriously?! They're getting on okay, but struggling to find much in common - except The Game Of Life. They both love board games...
Cut to the house and Toadie, Sonya, Callum and Jade are sitting down to play the game. Toad and Jade are completely excited whilst Callum and Sonya look like they want to be anywhere but in that room. However, Sonya is pleased that her boyfriend and sister are getting on so well.
Callum is complaining about the game to Lou, but he's also into The Game Of Life! Lucas sits alone at a table looking at motorbike catalogues; he's thinking of buying it. Tash and Andrew walk in and admire the book. Andrew goes to get coffees whilst Tash comments that there's no way Lucas can afford a bike. She's seen the garage's books.
Outside number 32 Summer reads a book. Lucas gets into his ute, angry. He yells at Lou that he contacted the finance company about ending the lease on his ute (so he can buy the bike instead), but the exit fees are extortionate. Summer can't believe he wants a bike after Ringo was killed by Steph on her bike. Lou tries to explain to Lou that Lucas is asset- rich but cash- poor. This is what Callum has to learn about The Game Of Life!
Lucas and Billy are playing darts, and Lucas is wondering if Billy has any additional work for him - he's desperate. Billy is coy, but Lucas pushes and pushes him. Billy does know of some work, but it's serious business which isn't playtime. The guys he's thinking of are hardcore... Billy says he won't be involved but will give Lucas the number to call.
A BMW pulls up inside the garage. Lucas quickly closes the door. Two men, Vince and Garland, get out. Lucas introduces himself to Garland. Garland hands him some keys to the car and tells him to do 'plates, tags, everything.' Lucas says he'll get onto it right away, and is handed a wad of cash as a deposit for the work. They leave, and Lucas wonders what he's gotten himself into.
At Toadie's, The Game Of Life is in full swing. Callum is the banker, but making up the rules as he goes along, giving out loans if required! He also quietly hands Lou some money which Toadie spots. Jade, Sonya and Toad realise that Lou and Callum have a whole career going of stealing money from the banker which is why they're winning!
Outside of Harold's Billy and Lucas are having a coffee. Lucas says he's onto the job then Garland will be happy. He pays for the coffees - but has to get out the whole wad of cash he was given to pay. Billy notices and reminds Lucas to be careful - very careful. Jade is also passing and sees him with the cash.
Brennan comes over, looking suspicious and asks Lucas for a coffee.
Inside the bar Mark is getting drinks and Karl approaches Lucas - he's heard about him buying a bike and wonders if it's wise, all things considered. Lucas is annoyed at Karl's interference and Karl leaves.
Mark speaks to Lucas about Billy Forman. Lucas explains that he does business with him - he provides parts for Billy's car which has been converted because of his wheelchair. Mark accepts this and explains that Billy has form, and has some hardcore mates who've been involved in re- birthing cars, stolen parts and assulat - and worse. Mark tells Lucas that he's seen mechanics go down by getting involved, then walks off without drinking his coffee.
Now Lucas looks worried.
Summer is sunning herself and putting on some SPF even though it looks freezing. Tash and Andrew are off to the cinema but Summer doesn't want to tag along.
Lucas rides up on a new bike, thrilled with his purchase. Summer tells him he's an idiot. Mark also pulls up on his way to see Kate, and is impressed with the new bike. Lucas tells him it's true love!
Looking out the window, Callum sees Lucas' new bike and asks his dad if he can go look. Sonya is surprised that Lucas can afford a new bike - she thought he still owed Libby money. Jade comes in with nibbly bits to eat, and thanks Toadie for letting her stay, and he crutches off.
Jade innocently asks Sonya about Lucas' finances, and Sonya explains about him owing Libby money. Jade is also surprised - she saw him earlier with a wad of cash at Lassiter's.
Tash and Andrew come in and she tells him that she's impressed with his new bike. Karl overhears and is much less impressed. Quite what it's got to with him is anyone's guess, but Lucas assures him he'll ride safely.
Toadie, Sonya, Jade and Callum are at Charlie's for dinner, and while they're ordering Sonya asks Lucas about the bike and how he could afford it. He reminds her he works two jobs and pays hardly any rent. He tells her he got a loan for the whole amount then quickly leaves.
Lucas is enthusing about his bike to Lou on the sofa, but Lou has fallen asleep. Lou wakes and goes to bed, as Sonya comes to the front door. She knows he has a heap of cash - Jade saw him. Sonya doesn't buy the idea that he got the cash from a job. She suspects that he might be gambling again, and is worried he's getting back into trouble. He tries to convince her that he's got back on his feet, but she picks up the bike manual and sees a receipt for a $5000 deposit and demands to know why he lied to her.
He denies again that he's gambling but she won't believe him and says she doesn't trust him before walking out.
