Recap
Steph led away to prison, telling Toadie he did everything he could and he deserves to be happy.
Kate and Mark interested in each other.
Donna telling Kate to move on with Mark.
Michael wondering why Rebecca's staying in a loveless marriage.
Michael and Rebecca about to kiss - until Paul calls Rebecca on her mobile.
Charlie's
Rebecca tells Paul that she was just leaving when he rang - it got busy and she had to help clear up the bar. She tells him she's on her way back. Michael listens in, and Rebecca apologises for the interruption. It's tense and it's awkward, and they so want to kiss, but Rebecca has to lock up. Michael says he'll get out of her hair, and Rebecca just drops her face, conceding defeat. They say goodnight.
Number 22
Rebecca returns home and sits quietly on the sofa, looking scared.
Number 32
Michael sits on his sofa, looking dead pleased with himself.
Number 22
Rebecca hears Paul coming down the stairs and shuts her eyes in dread. She feigns being pleased to see him and says she'll be up to bed in a minute. Once Paul's left, Rebecca smiles and gets her phone from her bag, about to call Michael. (I really, really, really like her Nokia.) But she changes her mind.
Number 32
Michael writes a message to Bec: 'Hope you're okay.' He changes his mind and deletes it before going to bed.
Number 22
Rebecca has made breakfast for Paul and Declan, but doesn't want to eat anything herself. Paul's phone rings and she tells him to get it, as she sits down with Dec and Indy. She admits to her son that she's grumpy; she didn't sleep well last night. Declan wonders if she and Paul are okay, and she lies that they're fine.
Number 30
Sonya's up bright and early and Cal comes into the lounge, wondering where his dad is - and how he is. Sonya says Toadie needs a lie- in, but she thought they could all have breakfast out this morning. Cal knows that Toadie might not want to go to breakfast, and so Sonya suggests he invite Sophie, too. Cal's not interested in having Sophie along, because she's too hung up on the social, even though it got cancelled.
Toadie is up and walks into the lounge in his PJs, and doesn't want to go to breakfast. Sonya makes an effort, but Toad just switches the TV on and Sonya leaves with Callum.
Dingoes' Gym
Kate arrives, and is so busy staring at Mark that she walks right into Michael who's on the punchbag with Lucas. They tease her about being preoccupied about Mark, and she retorts that she won't talk about this with her boss or housemate. And then proceeds to talk about him anyway.
Michael suggests that she follow Mark into the changing room - after all, he's the only one in there...
Kate does, but inside Mark's nowhere to be seen. She goes to leave, and Mark appears from the shower room with only a towel to his name - around his waist.
MARK: Kate! You alright?
KATE: Hi. Um, sorry, I...I...I thought that this was the chest room. REST room! Rest room. I thought...female rest room...I should go!
She pushes the door. It doesn't budge.
MARK: Try pulling it.
Flustered, Kate leaves.
Harold's Store
Sonya and Callum arrive for breakfast with Sonya explaining that Toadie has to deal with the loss of Steph in his own way. Sophie comes up to Cal and hugs him, so Callum invites her for food.
Karl approaches Sonya and asks after Toadie; Sonya says he's fine. It's all awkward and Karl leaves whilst Lou tells Sonya that he'll go and speak to Toadie so that his not leaving the house doesn't become a habit.
Um - it's only been a few hours...
Number 30
Lou arrives with Sonya and the kids. He tells them to watch and learn, before collapsing on the sofa next to Toadie and saying that if he's going to wallow in misery, he may as well have some company. Lou has brought Doritos and snacks and switches the TV to the shopping channel, stealing the blanket that Toadie is sitting on to cover his legs.
Toadie almost completely ignores him.
Number 22
Rebecca stares sadly at her phone. Paul wanders in, wondering if she's seen his keys.
REBECCA: Have you looked for them?
PAUL: Well, yeah...
Rebecca thinks they may be upstairs and goes to look for them. She leaves her lovely shiny Nokia on the dining table, and as she goes, the phone beeps with a message. Paul picks the phone up, but doesn't seem to open the message - and yet he mysteriously knows that it's from Michael.
Rebecca comes back with his keys and Paul wants to know why Mike's sending her messages. Ouch.
Cut to later and Paul has read the message - why would Michael want to know if Rebecca was okay or not? Rebecca manages to cover well, and says that she and Michael had an argument yesterday when she overheard him bagging their family. Paul thanks Rebecca for defending their family, and she warns him not to raise this with Michael again.
Rebecca goes off to do some washing and Paul hands her the phone. He seems pretty annoyed...
Harold's Store
Michael is eating a cooked brekkie and checking his phone. Kate brings a coffee and Michael gives her relationship advice: she should go for it with Mark! Paul storms in.
PAUL: You! I want a word with you! I don't know who the hell you think you're dealing with, but if you ever, ever upset Rebecca again, you'll wish you'd never moved here.
MICHAEL: I don't know what you think happened -
PAUL: Oh, I know exactly what happened! The issue that you had with me, you took out on my wife. And I will not have it. Do I make myself clear?
Confused and relieved, Michael agrees. Paul storms off as stormily as he came in, and Michael sits at the table with the horrible realisation of what Rebecca's trapped in.
Number 30
Toadie is still on the sofa, snacks in front of him. Sonya, Soph, Cal and Lou watch from the hallway. The TV is playing the in- house music from the 1998- 9 seasons. Cool.
Callum comments that Toad hasn't even touched the cheez balls. Lou takes the kids off, and Sonya talks to Toadie. He shouldn't be shutting people out - after all, this is what Steph did and Toad hated it. She reminds him that he's a fighter.
TOADIE: I'm dealing with it, okay?
SONYA: No, you're not. You're really worrying Callum, and me. It's gonna take time, but you have to find a way to work past this. Nobody blames you. You did everything you could .
Toadie doesn't respond.
Harold's Store
Lou, Soph, Cal, Sonya and Steph are having milkshakes. Cal and Sophie talk about having a Zombieforce competition later. There's some awkward chat about best friends, and Toadie agrees to eat a burger.
At the counter Kate is serving Declan and he offers to give her a driving lesson later on. She hesitantly agrees. On the way out Declan says hi to Toadie and asks him to say hi to Steph when he sees him.
And then Karl approaches and asks if there's anything he can do.
TOADIE: You mean above and beyond what you've already done?
KARL: Toad, you did your best...
TOADIE: Karl, you wanted Steph to go to jail, alright? So you should be happy.
KARL: There's nothing about this situation that makes me happy.
TOADIE: Oh you got what you wanted, alright! So, what, you've just come over here to gloat, have you? Well you know what? You can stick it! I'm outta here.
Toadie walks out past Karl to Callum's dismay.
Number 30
Sonya follows Toadie into the house, telling him that things like this will happen until it all settles down. Toad argues that it won't happen in their house, and plonks himself in front of the TV again. Sonya goes back to Harold's whilst Toadie gets up and sorts through the legal papers. He finds an envelope with a post- it from Steph on the front: "Now you're free to be with Sonya." He opens it and reads what's inside...

Charlie's
Kate presents Rebecca with an invoice for milk from Harold's, but spots Mark at a table, and is a bit distracted...
In a glowing gold daydream, Kate lets her hair loose, and swings it like the L'Oreal girl. She boldly approaches Mark and tells him: "you, me, right here, right now." But her daydream is rudely interrupted by Paul bumping into her. Paul announces to Rebecca that she doesn't have to worry about Michael anymore. He says that Mike was embarrassed, and Rebecca doesn't have to fight his fights for him. Michael will leave her alone, now. Frustrated, Rebecca calls Michael and leaves a message for him - she'd like to come over.
Harold's Store
Lucas, Sonya and Lou are chatting whilst Callum says he's going to try to talk to Toadie. The adults don't think it's a good idea, so Cal and Sophie say they'll go back to Sophie's house instead. Of course, on the way out Callum tells his best mate that they will be going to see Toadie, come what may.
Mark walks in and Kate asks after his lunch, then tries to explain - several times - how she knew he was at Charlie's having lunch. She wasn't spying on him. Honest. No - really. They buy milk from Harold's.
Kate asks Mark to dinner and he agrees - but not tonight. They're all flirty and cute and then moody Declan walks in, making a rude comment about how Mark never seems to actually do any work. Kate goes to grab her stuff for the driving lesson.
Number 32
Rebecca arrives to see Michael, all nervous and pretty. Michael follows her into the lounge, smiling to himself. She apologises for Paul going off on one earlier, and Michael adds that he didn't say anything about what happened last night at Charlie's.
REBECCA: Nothing happened.
Awkward. But Michael asks what they do now, and Rebecca smiles and she doesn't really know. She likes their friendship, and they agree they should be friends. But then there's Paul...
REBECCA: Paul doesn't have to know we're making mad passionate love on the bar at Charlie's every night friends...
MICHAEL: We've gotta be careful...that no- one catches us at it
She walks out in her incredibly high heels and Michael - who oddly looks taller than the front door - smiles all the more.
Charlie's
Paul is at the bar, trying to call Rebecca, and she arrives back, saying that her phone battery is dead. He offers her a late lunch.
At another table, Lucas is trying to distract Sonya from what's happening with Toadie - after all, he needs distracting, too. But Sonya's not really up for that, and so she leaves to go home - until Callum and Sophie run in. Toadie's gone, taken the car, and left his Certificate of Annulment of Marriage to Steph on the table.
