Recap
- Susan receiving anonymous emails about Diana
- Susan visiting Diana at the police station
- Steph having trouble packing up the nursery
- Libby lashing out at Steph in Harold's
- Lucas and Steph kissing - Libby catching them
Number 24
Libby goes into an angry rant about Lucas kissing Steph, "of all the women", until Lucas blurts out that he still loves Steph. Libby can't believe it.
Number 26
Lucas knocks on the door, asking to talk to Steph, but Lyn shoos him away. Steph is crouched on the front step inside, calling herself an idiot, and confides in Lyn about the kiss. Lyn tries to comfort her and says she's not thinking straight, but Steph takes offence and says this has nothing to do with the baby. "I've done something really stupid that's all." Steph charges down the hallway, but can't help staring longingly at the nursery door as she passes by.
Harold's Store
Susan checks in with Declan and asks how Rebecca's coping. Declan says she's doing OK, but she's at the hospital 24/7. Susan joins Karl, Ringo and Zeke at a table where Ringo is explaining how similar Donna and her grandmother are - even the clothes they wear.
RINGO: (smiling) It was like seeing what Donna's going to be like in sixty years.
SUSAN: You almost sound like you're looking forward to it.
RINGO: I can't think of anyone I'd rather grow old with.
Zeke pretends to vomit while Susan hits Karl on the arm.
SUSAN: I hope you're taking notes.
KARL: Wasn't aware I had to. You seemed to be perfectly happy last night.
ZEKE: Gross!
Trying not to upchuck again, Zeke comments on how many times Susan has checked her phone since she sat down. He's still worried she's being harassed again, but Susan says she's just waiting on a late article (she's in charge while Paul's comatose). When the boys go off to order, Karl asks Susan what the real reason is and she tells him about the mystery emails. She thinks it might just be a prank but Karl tells her to let him know if she gets any more.
Erinsborough Hospital - Exterior
Susan's walking with Rebecca (and India in the pram) outside when they see Lyn offering cupcakes to patients. Rebecca notices how agitated Susan is and wonders if she'll ever make up with Lyn. But Susan gets upset and says she can only see hurt in Libby's eyes now where there once used to be a trusting girl.
SUSAN: Too much has happened. Too many lies have been told.
REBECCA: You know, giving up Oliver was one of the hardest things I have ever done. And Lyn is grieving like that; she never got a chance to know her grandchild. She wants to be strong for Steph but she's confused, she's hurt, she's angry. And Susan, she needs you. She would never admit it, but she needs you.
Erinsborough Hospital
Rebecca and Susan bump into Lyn in the corridor after her cake drop- off. Lyn says a quick hello to Rebecca and is about to scurry away when Susan asks her to sit with them. Things get a bit awkward when Rebecca leaves them to go and check on Paul, but Susan takes the reins again and asks Lyn if she wants to get a coffee. Lyn's hesitant but eventually says yes.
Lassiter's Complex
Susan and Lyn make idle chit chat about the weather but soon realise they need to get their grievances out in the open.
SUSAN: Rebecca reminded me today that you and I have been friends for more than ten years. We've been through a lot together.
LYN: Lots of ups and downs.
SUSAN: Do you think we can get past this?
LYN: I think we can try. (Tearing up) Ten years, it's worth a bit of a try don't you reckon?
SUSAN: I certainly reckon ten years is worth a try.
LYN: You and I have said some pretty awful things to each other in the heat of the moment, but I just want you to know that I do not blame you for Steph giving up her baby. I was upset, I was lashing out.
SUSAN: Karl and I both understand that.
Before things get too emotional, Susan receives another mystery email from our old friend ANON. She confides in Lyn about the whole email situation and shows her the latest one - I HAVE PROOF. I DID IT. Lyn says that Susan has to go to the police, "This is a potential murderer you're talking about here". But Susan doesn't want to stir things up in case she's wrong; Rebecca's under enough stress at the moment. However, she still sends an email back to ANON - GO TO THE POLICE. OR I WILL.
Today's nostalgia photo is of David and Harold Bishop in matching suits, bowties and glasses from 1988.
First Commercial Break
Charlie's Bar
Lucas is worried that he's overstepped his new housemate boundaries thanks to his little display with Steph earlier, but Kate assures him she's not about to kick him out. Lucas says what happened was a one- off and begs her not to tell Lou - he'll make him do his washing for a year. They make up some house rules for when they want to bring "friends" over like, "no pashing in the lounge room when the kids are home" and "no underwear left on the furniture".
Number 28
Ringo gets off the phone from Donna, who is staying at her Gran's a few extra days to spend more quality time with Tegan and Simon. Zeke drags Ringo down to Charlie's to play some pool, leaving Karl to chat with Libby. He notices she's flat about something and she tells him about the Lucas and Steph kiss.
KARL: I thought you and Lucas were an item?
LIBBY: (aghast) That was meant to be private between me and mum!
KARL: Come on, we do talk you know.
Karl asks if she's upset because Lucas was kissing someone else or because it was Steph and soon figures out it's the latter. Libby admits that she doesn't want to see Lucas get hurt again and says that Steph can't be trusted. But Karl says that all Libby can do is be there for Lucas.
Number 26
Steph takes a deep breath before going into the nursery to start the clean up. She gingerly picks up a box to put some soft toys in when Lyn finds her. Lyn offers to help but Steph says this is something she needs to do on her own. When Lyn leaves, Steph picks up a little t- shirt that says 'Mum loves me'. Poor Steph, her head must hurt with all those emotional anvils falling on it.
Later, Steph has packed everything up when she suddenly becomes fixated on the wall mural Sonya painted the other week. She walks over to it and lightly traces her hand over the baby the stork is carrying before bursting into tears. She slumps down the wall and draws her knees up to her chest to sob her heart out.
Second Commercial Break
Charlie's Bar
Lucas is watching the pool game from the bar, where Zeke is performing some complicated shot that involves him crouching on the ground. Libby joins Lucas for a drink and apologises for overreacting about the kiss - she was out of line. Lucas says Lib was right about one thing, Steph *did* hurt him and burnt a lot of other people too. Lib says that if he ever needs to talk about things - even things that involve Steph (as much as it pains her) - she promises to listen. Lucas thanks her but knows it's something he has to sort out himself. In fact, he thinks he'll sort it out right now.
Number 26
Lyn answers the door to Lucas and heads over to lock up Harold's so he and Steph can chat in peace. Steph says she's sorry for leading him on and kissing him back and promises it won't happen again. Lucas hesitates before saying that he's sorry too. They agree to be mates and hug it out, but cling to each other a little too tightly before breaking apart. Lucas stares at her for a beat, like he wants to say something more, but they end up just bidding each other goodnight.
Harold's Store
Susan bursts into the kitchen to tell Lyn that she got another message - I CAN'T GO TO THE POLICE. Susan feels like it has to be a hoax now because the mystery person is just stringing her along. But Lyn says that Susan got the messages at curious times.
LYN: You got the first one when Diana was arrested? (Susan nods) But they only admitted they did it today?
SUSAN: Yeah... Oh, a guilty conscience maybe? Couldn't live with the idea of an innocent person going to jail.
Lyn suggests going to the police again - if the emails are true then ANON is reaching out to Susan for a reason. Lyn thinks they might want to be found out.
Cut to later when two police officers are leaving the store after talking to Susan. She feels like an idiot after finding out the cops have received more than 300 hoax emails and tip- offs about the case. Lyn still thinks there might be some truth in the emails, though, and that Rebecca needs to know about it. Susan suddenly gets a phone call from Karl, who's at work - "Paul's woken up".
Third Commercial Break
Erinsborough Hospital
Susan finds Rebecca and Declan waiting in the corridor, but Rebecca's in a tizz because she's not allowed back in the room yet. Karl emerges to tell them that Paul's breathing normally and his brain activity indicates that he's regaining consciousness, but he hasn't opened his eyes and he's not talking. Rebecca wants to know what all the means, but all Karl can say is that "it's very early days". Rebecca and Declan go in to see Paul and Susan looks relieved - once Paul wakes up properly they can finally found out who the culprit is.

KATE: You've really got to start taking it easy on Lucas.
LOU: The jury's still out on that one.
(Lou pays Lucas another visit with the megaphone)

(Lucas tells Kate that she might need to find another housemate)
ANDREW: It's all about Rebecca. She gets to say who sees dad and who does what. He's my dad, how can she do it?
(Rebecca tries to help Paul with something and Andrew lashes out)
(Andrew finds out that Diana's out of jail - he visits his dad)
ANDREW: Just say the word that will lock her up.
