Number 26
Lyn is thrilled that Steph and Charlie are home and wants to know where the baby is, she's dying to meet him. Steph packs Charlie off to him room and Lyn starts to get worried.
LYN: Steph, where's the baby?
Number 30
Sonya tries to convince Toadie that he did everything he could. Toadie knows how much Steph wanted the baby and hopes she'll see sense. Just then Lyn bursts in demanding to know what happened. Toadie was supposed to be looking after Steph! Sonya bites back and tells Lyn that she can't just barge in and start laying into Jarrod. Toadie tells her it's ok so she backs down and goes into the kitchen. Lyn can't believe what's going on and begs Toadie to try and talk to her because Steph listens to him.
TOADIE: Not this time.
Toadie tells her that he's got nothing left and he's put Sonya and Callum through too much. Steph will have to do this without him. Lyn looks dumbstruck.
Lassiters Complex
Andrew tells the girls about Paul squeezing his hand and they're really pleased for him. Summer goes over to Lyn and excitedly asks if Steph is back yet. Lyn lies and says she isn't. Back at the table Natasha informs Summer that Andrew is coming back to school, which is more great news. Tash has rented Hamlet to help Andrew catch up and they all agree to go around to his to watch it. Unluckily for Tash, however, Kyle turns up for the date she'd forgotten about to Andrew and Summer go off to DVD watch alone.
Number 30
Tash thinks that cakes with vegetables in them are wrong. If you have cake you have chocolate cake. What's the point in having cake that's good for you? The girl has a point. Michael suspects there's trouble in paradise. Tash doesn't think that Kyle gets her. Michael points out that they did start seeing each other very suddenly, perhaps he's just a rebound person.
NATASHA: Everybody loves cake. Summer, Chris, Callum, Andrew...
Michael asks how Andrew is going. Tash reports that he's fine and coming back to school and she's practically single.
MICHAEL: You know you don't have to have a boyfriend. You're a smart independent young woman, you don't need to be defined by being in a relationship. And if things with Kyle aren't working then don't be afraid to just call it a day.
Charlie's
Karl and Susan chat about Ben while Natasha prepares to dump Kyle. Kyle's glad she called him, he was concerned after she took off earlier. Tash starts to cut across him but then decides to let him finish.
KYLE: You're a really really cool chick, and clearly, really hot.
TASH: Clearly.
KYLE: And we've had some good times...
TASH: Are you dumping me?
KYLE: There's no one else, I just feel like we're moving in different directions.
TASH: Yeah, but I came here to break up with you.
KYLE: Great! Then we're cool?
Tash disagrees because he hijacked her breakup. Kyle can't see the problem, they both get what they want. Tash tells him that she has a reputation "a brand" and her brand does not get dumped. She tells him that he can't tell anyone about it. Confused, Kyle agrees but tells her that it will get out eventually.
Lyn hurries in to drop off the milk invoices and is surprised to find Rebecca behind the bar. Rebecca asks if everything is alright so Lyn breezes that everyone is good. It's all good. And she hurries out. Karl and Susan watch somewhere between intrigued and confused. Rebecca grabs her bag and follows Lyn out of the bar.
Hospital
The women pass a new born baby and Rebecca comments that Lyn must be holding her breath for Steph to come home with her new grandson! Lyn is overwhelmed by emotion and Rebecca is concerned that there's something wrong with the baby. Lyn confides to her that Steph has given the baby away to Dan. Lyn can't understand that having gone through hell for him, she could just give him up. What sort of mother does that? Lyn realises that she's just put her foot in it.
REBECCA: (gently) Well, one who thinks it is the best thing for the baby.
Lyn apologises profusely, but Rebecca says it's fine. She gave up Oliver because she knew the best thing for him was to have a family who could love him and care for him. Lyn asks if Rebecca could speak to Steph, she might listen to her. Rebecca thinks she needs her mother. Lyn is at her wits end because Steph won't listen to her, but Rebecca thinks Steph needs her mum to support her and be there for her. Steph also has Sonya and Toadie and with all their help, she'll get through it.
Number 26
Sonya barrels in and says that she knows Steph is feeling terrible, but she can't keep treating Toadie the way she is. He's done everything for her and given up everything for her and none of it was about him, it was all about her, she needs to apologise to him. Lyn comes in and tells Sonya that she doesn't think it's a good time. Sonya is still raging though. She reminds Steph that Toadie had her back when everyone turned against her, even the Kennedys. It cost him a lot. Sonya leaves saying that she'll tell Toadie to expect an apology, but Steph doesn't seem at all effected by what has just happened. Lyn tells her that she understands that she had no choice but to do what she did. Steph said it was entirely her choice.
LYN: No, no way. You can't tell me that you wouldn't have given him away if it hadn't been such a mess here. If it hadn't been for that mob next door.
STEPH: No, mum that's not true. It's got nothing to do with the Kennedys.
Lyn is adamant that it has, they ran her out of town and forced her to go and have her baby alone. Now she's back here without him all because of them. Steph tells her to stop, but Lyn can't because she hasn't met her grandson. Steph doesn't have an answer for that so she goes to finish tidying bedrooms.
Number 28
Susan is putting together a parcel for Ben. Karl wonders whether he'd prefer caramel or mint chocolate and Susan realises that he's raided her stash! He tells her it wouldn't hurt her to go without for a bit, but quickly takes it back and kisses her as she pokes his stomach. The moment is rather shattered by Lyn barging in and claiming she doesn't know how they can live with themselves. Sitting all happy and smug while her family falls apart.
LYN: But you just pushed and you pushed until Steph didn't have a choice...
SUSAN: What are you talking about?
LYN: Not enough to make her an outcast in her own street was it, but then again, nothing is ever quite enough for the high and mighty Kennedys!
SUSAN: Whaaaat?
KARL: Lyn calm down, what's this all about?
LYN: Steph's given up her baby. Is it any surprise after what happened here? After the way you treated her?
SUSAN: We didn't intend this, Lyn. We just had to think of Libby.
LYN: And I had to think of Steph. But who was thinking of the baby? Now he's miles away with....Dan.
SUSAN: He's with Dan? Oh how are we going to tell Libby. (Yikes, insensitive much, Suse?)
LYN: TYPICAL! The whole world revolves around the Kennedys!
Karl thinks it is time for Lyn to leave. Before she goes Lyn tells them that it's not about them, it's about her child who felt she couldn't come home with her own baby. Karl and Susan are left dumbstruck.

Number 28
Karl can tell that Susan is fretting, but he says it won't help, they stood by Libby, what else were they supposed to do? Susan is still concerned that perhaps they were too hard line about the whole thing. Karl says that Steph is an adult and she makes her own choices and they aren't responsible for them, no matter what Lyn says.
SUSAN: Karl, she gave away her own child.
KARL: Yes, to Dan. His father. We have to concentrate on Libby here. We have to tell her.
Susan doesn't think this is a good time when she's just got everything settled down to normal again. Karl says there's never a good time.
Number 32
Natasha answers the door to Andrew and Summer. Andrew asks if she's alright, he saw that things had ended between her and Kyle. Summer thinks it was a bit naff to broadcast it on Twitter though. Tash says that life goes on and how about she shouts coffee. Summer senses that she's not meant to be involved and so says she'd better go and finish Hamlet. Andrew wants her to come along though, so she agrees. Tash looks thrilled. Not.
Charlie's
Summer goes to get the drinks and chats to Kyle at the bar. She says she heard about the breakup. Tash tweeted it. Kyle is surprised, so she dumped him? Summer is confused. Tash is eager to know if Kyle spun some crazy story about her, but Summer says no, he didn't seem upset at all. Natasha knows for a fact he's gutted, he's just putting a brave face on things. In fact, maybe they should go to Harold's seeing as things are still quite awkward. Kyle brings the drinks over and Summer comments that he's so upbeat you'd almost think he did the dumping. Kyle denies it and says he's just trying to man up. He decides to duck out the back as he's still quite emotional.
NATASHA: It's just so hard.
ANDREW: You're better off without him.
Tash beams.
Ramsay Street
Toadie is standing on his front lawn looking pretty lost and drained. Sonya gives him a hug and tells him he did everything he could. Lyn comes over and tells Toadie that she never had him down as a quitter. Sonya thinks that's an outrageous thing to say, but Lyn thinks she's done enough going over and upsetting Steph. This is news to Toadie, she doesn't need to fight his battles. Sonya is just fed up with people tip toeing around Steph and not thinking about Toadie's feelings. She went over and said things he couldn't because he's too gentle. Lyn realises that Sonya is right. Toadie has been so good and so kind to her family, it's just that her family is falling apart and she's having trouble coping. Sonya relents and agrees that Toadie is the only one Steph listens to. Maybe he should give it one more try. Toadie thinks Sonya is amazing. Lyn thanks her.
Number 26
Steph comes out of the bedrooms to find Toadie in the living room. It's a bit awkward, but then she apologises for what she said that morning, it was unfair. But she stands by her decision. Toadie asks her not to expect him to accept it over night. He just wants to know whether she can honestly say she's coping. She says of course she can't, she just gave away her baby.
TOADIE: I know Dan's going to be a good Dad, alright, I get that. But I just want to know if you have any doubts. Because if you do, I can help.
STEPH: No, I have no doubts it was the right thing to do. No doubts at all.
Lassiters Complex
The teens leave Charlie's and Andrew heads straight home. Kyle catches up with Tash and Summer and gives Tash a piece of zucchini cake that he kept especially for her. Something to remember him by. Natasha excuses herself from Summer and drags Kyle away to tell him he's over doing it. Kyle thought that was a good one. I love Kyle, he's actually going out of his way to make himself appear like more of a loser than he is for absolutely no gain. He's a mystery! He even used onions to make himself cry. Tash decides she can take it from there and rejoins Summer. She gives the cake to her and tells her that Kyle is falling apart. Clearly.
Number 26
Lyn tells Summer that she has not given up yet. Summer wants to know why Lyn didn't tell her earlier. Steph comes into the room and says that she asked Lyn not to tell her. She's fine though. Clearly very confused by the whole thing, Summer decides to play along and takes Charlie off to bed. Lyn tells Steph to rest and she'll get her a cuppa. Steph flops down on the sofa, but when her handbag catches her eye she leans forward and pulls out Adam's baby blanket. She buries her head in it breathing in its scent then puts it back in the bag. Poor, lost, Steph.
Number 28
Libby comes in late apologising. Susan says that they just need to speak to her. Libby's first thoughts are that something is wrong with Ben, but Susan reassures her he's fine. They tell her that Lyn came over before and was pretty upset. She had news of Steph and the baby. Libby clearly doesn't want to hear it as she continues to move around the house sorting things out. Susan breaks the news that Steph has given the baby to Dan and that Lyn thinks it's because of them. Karl adds that that is totally irrational of course. Libby says nothing but walks out the door.
Number 26
Steph opens the door to find a really unimpressed looking Libby who says, very matter of factly, that she hears she gave the baby to Dan.
STEPH: Yeah, well he's going to make a great dad.
LIBBY: I know that. We were married, we planned to have a family. So I know what that meant to him.
STEPH: I wanted to tell you.
LIBBY: Did you think it would make everything better. Give away your baby and everyone would think "oh poor Steph, look at what she's gone through"?
STEPH: That's not true.
LIBBY: I would never feel sorry for you. What you've done is unforgivable. And the worst thing about it is that you've used your own baby to try and make things better for yourself.
