Recap

- Declan and Kate feeling awkward after the break up
- Detective Brennan arresting Diana
- Susan getting an email saying that Diana's innocent
Number 28
Susan stares at the anonymous email on her phone while Zeke complains about Donna taking up too much space in the bathroom with her makeup. Noticing that Susan's preoccupied, Zeke asks if she needs any more help with her phone, but she says she's fine. Donna arrives home from the hospital and chats about Diana's arrest with Susan. Donna hopes Diana is formally charged soon so everyone can move on. When Donna heads out to put more stuff in the bathroom (cue off- screen, "Nooo!" from Zeke), Susan decides to delete the email.
Erinsborough Police Station
Detective Brennan lets Toadie into the interview room to have a chat with Diana. She's not very forthcoming with information about mystery man Jack Ward at first, claiming she doesn't know him. But when Toadie threatens to leave, Diana admits that she called Jack to do a job for her the night Paul was pushed but he never showed up.
TOADIE: That's because he spent the night in a lock- up. He took off when a police speed patrol tried to flag him down.
DIANA: Well I don't know all the details. So I'm in the clear?
TOADIE: Hardly. Maybe you gave up waiting and decided to do your own dirty work?
DIANA: Is that what the police think? You've got to help me.
TOADIE: My advice - don't say a word. Let the police make their own case.
Diana doesn't want him to leave but Toadie just tells her to let the American Consulate find her another local lawyer.
Charlie's Bar - Next Morning
Kate, Sophie and Lou deliver a crate of milk to the bar but still haven't made a decision about Lucas and Kyle. Lou's wary of having "Casanova" Kyle around Kate, but she reminds him they only went on one date. Declan and Nick appear from the kitchen where they've been checking out the broken thermostat on the oven. When Kyle chats with Kate about the room situation, Declan gets jealous and says that Kate can find a much better housemate than Kyle Canning. Kate reminds Declan that he gets no say in her life anymore so he can just butt out.
Hospital
Donna asks Kate if she's using Kyle as a revenge tool against Declan, but she denies it. They bump into Rebecca (with India) in the hall, who looks drained. Donna wishes she could stay and chat but she's got uni and she has to organise herself before she goes away.
REBECCA: That's right you've got your Gran's 90th.
KATE: I can't believe you're going away again.
DONNA: I know, and I need to get her a present. She wants Pink concert tickets.
Donna leaves and the ladies chat about Declan. Rebecca hints that he really needs someone to talk to, but Kate doesn't really want the job.
Charlie's Bar
While Zeke's ordering drinks, Susan gets another email from anon (or should that be ANON - they really love their caps). DID YOU GET MY MESSAGE? DIANA DIDN'T PUSH PAUL. Zeke comments that Susan has been glued to her phone lately and thinks that she's missing Karl, so she just plays along with that theory. Susan asks if there'd be any way to trace an anonymous email. Zeke says no but then becomes alarmed and wants to know if Susan's being bullied again. Susan assures him she's not and lies about covering a story for the paper.
Lou, Sophie and Kate approach Lucas and Michael and ask if they've seen Kyle. Lucas thinks this means they've picked Kyle, but Kate smiles and says that they came to give Kyle bad news - they've chosen Lucas as their housemate. Lucas is stoked and Lou says he can move in ASAP. Kate apologises to Kyle for the outcome. He seems cool with it but can't help asking if Declan had anything to do with her decision. Kate pauses a bit before saying that it was just the best choice for everyone.
Erinsborough Hospital - Exterior
Detective Brennan wants to take Rebecca down to the station for more questioning but Rebecca doesn't want to bring India there. Declan appears and says he can't have India either - he has a board meeting at Lassiter's - but Rebecca strongly suggests he ask Kate for help.
Number 24
Declan apologises to Kate for sticking his nose in about Kyle earlier and asks if she can baby- sit India for a while. Kate's a bit uneasy about it but eventually says yes.
Erinsborough Hospital
Susan is very interested to know what the police asked Rebecca about Diana, but Rebecca doesn't want to give away too much (the affair is still a secret). When Susan keeps asking questions Rebecca becomes distressed, so she backs off. Susan says that Rebecca might need to head home for a while so she can rest, but Rebecca doesn't agree and winds up telling Susan to back off. "That's my husband, I have to be here with him."
Today's nostalgia photo is of a Christmas party in 1989.
First Commercial Break
Erinsborough Hospital
Susan has waited for Rebecca in the corridor so she can apologise - she can't even begin to imagine what she's going through. Rebecca tearfully admits that she has thought about going home, but then that would be accepting that it's normal for Paul to be in a coma.
REBECCA: I don't want to feel like I've given up hope of him making a full recovery.
SUSAN: You know the signs are all good. But it could be weeks or months. At some point you're going to have to get some rest.
REBECCA: I just can't deal with this in weeks or months. I have to take this day by day. I just cannot cope with anything else.
Rebecca blots her face with a tissue and tries to compose herself before heading back into Paul's room. Susan gets another email from ANON, but it's the same message as before.
Charlie's Bar
Susan has decided to suck up her animosity and ask Toadie for information about Diana's arrest. Toadie can't give away much but says that Diana did have motive and opportunity. Susan asks for Toadie's gut feeling about it and he says that Diana seemed pretty adamant that she was innocent. Susan says a genuine thank you to him before leaving and Toadie looks chuffed that she's stopped calling him Jarrod and gone back to his nickname. Baby steps, Toad.
Number 24
Declan arrives to collect India, who is napping in Sophie's room. Kate shows him a drawing (scribble) India did of him and Declan says it looks just like he feels. Declan admits his whole family is exhausted and Kate takes pity on him, asking him to stay for a cuppa so India can have a longer sleep.
Cut to later and they're having a nice time joking around. But then things get serious and Declan says he's really sorry for wrecking their relationship. Kate says she shouldn't have pressured him, but Declan reminds her none of it was her fault.
DECLAN: It was all me.
KATE: I was in the relationship too.
DECLAN: I know, I forgot that sometimes. I wish I could go back. I miss you.
KATE: I miss you too.
There's a 'moment' and Declan leans in to kiss her. Kate hesitates before deciding to kiss him back.
Second Commercial Break
Number 24
Declan puts his shirt back on and Kate adjusts her top, which of course is Neighbours code for sex (but shhh, don't say it out loud). Declan thinks this means Kate's giving him another chance, but Kate looks guilty. She wants them to be friends but thinks they still need some space from one another. Suddenly, Lou, Michael and Lucas burst through the door with some of Lucas's furniture to move in. One minute earlier and that would have been a nice housewarming present waiting for Lucas on the couch wouldn't it! India starts crying so Declan goes to check on her, not getting a chance to talk further with Kate.
Erinsborough Police Station
Detective Brennan lets Susan into Diana's cell for a five minute chat. Diana snits that if Susan's there to buy her story she'll have to negotiate with her agent. Susan says she's not here for that reason and is surprised when Diana confesses she's been formally charged. Diana insists that she's innocent and becomes suspicious when Susan asks her if she got any of her family or acquaintances to contact her.
DIANA: I did not push Paul Robinson. (She studies Susan's face) You believe me. (She desperately clings to Susan's hands) If you know something, help me.
Erinsborough Hospital
Susan asks Rebecca how she's taking the news about Diana being formally charged. Rebecca admits she's shocked and would love to know what evidence the police have. Susan informs Rebecca that she wants to do a story on Diana, but she won't intrude on Rebecca's privacy at all. Rebecca thanks her and goes back to Paul. Susan is about to leave when ANON sends her yet another email (after we get a gratuitous Apple product placement close- up). DON'T BELIEVE THE POLICE. Taking a leaf out of the 'if you can't beat the, join them' book, Susan caps- attacks ANON right back: SHOW ME PROOF.
Later that evening, Sophie, Kate, Donna and Zeke have arrived to see Paul (Zeke? Really?). Sophie shows them the thank you present Lucas bought - a book on spiders. Zeke points out a particularly scary one to Donna, who freaks out and hits the book away. Rebecca says the kids can head into Paul's room, but she stops Kate for a chat first and thanks her for helping out Declan today. Kate looks awkward and says that she can't be there for Declan any more - not until she sorts herself out first. She tells Rebecca that Declan is struggling and could really use his mum around.
Third Commercial Break
Ramsay Street - Next Morning
Donna collects the newspaper and sees that Diana's arrest (and mug shot) has made the front page. She sees Rebecca arrive home in a taxi just as Declan heads out to meet her before going to work. Declan asks if she's OK and Rebecca says she just needs some normality. Declan leaves and Donna strolls over, asking if Rebecca wants to have a cuppa and a chat. Rebecca smiles and says yes, collecting the papers on the way inside. She stops to see what the West Warratah Star have said about Diana but is embarrassed to see Paul and Diana's affair splashed across the front page. Donna is stunned when Rebecca confirms that it's true.
REBECCA: Now the whole world knows about it.
Preview
(Tomorrow on Neighbours)
REBECCA: Why don't you tell me how silly I am to think that I would be the one to change Paul Robinson.
(Donna is worried about Rebecca)
DONNA: I think she needs someone to talk to.
KATE: Lyn? Seriously?
(Lyn goes to see Rebecca at Charlie's)
REBECCA: (crying) No, Lyn, I don't want your pity!
LYN: That's not what you're getting.
REBECCA: I just want to shake him awake and then slap him. (Later, in the hospital) Paul's opened his eyes!
(Kate tells Donna what happened between her and Dec)
DONNA: Oh!
KATE: Yeah.
DONNA: Wow.
KATE: I can't get it out of my head.
RINGO: Get what out?
DONNA: What happened, happened.
RINGO: What happened?
KATE: Can we not talk about this?
(Toadie gets an urgent phone call)
TOADIE: Steph? (to Sonya) I have to stop her!
SONYA: (angry) I'm finished with putting Steph first and I am finished with putting me second. I am finished!
