Ramsay Street
Toadie and Steph are keeping up appearances with cheese and vegemite sandwiches. Lucas pulls into the street in Toadie's fixed up car and a dose of good friendly, neighbourly, suspicious demeanour.
Garage
Steph wants to know why Lucas is suddenly being all pally with Toadie again. Lucas says he can't win. Steph doesn't buy any of it.
Harold's
Libby is surprised that Toadie is being so cynical, but Toadie points out that Lucas did smash up his car. Libby and Lyn stick up for Lucas on the car thing and Libby wonders whether Toadie is just looking for an ulterior motive.
Garage
The truth is Lucas could use a mate. Steph is flustered. Her coffee is also hot.
Harold's
Libby thinks that Lucas just needs his mate back, he doesn't have many male friends and neither does Toadie. Toadie says that Steph loves footy. The truth is that they both need a mate on the street and Steph would be really happy if the boys buried the hatchet.
Garage
Lucas wants to know why Steph doesn't want him and Toadie to be mates. Steph doesn't truth Lucas and tells him to stay away from Toad.
Number 28
Cass still isn't answering Donna's calls re: her dad. Zeke suggest she finds out another way. Karl and Susan come in from clearing the garage of fire hazards aka Karl's music career in boxes. Those two are always clearing out the garage! Karl protests that Susan is throwing out family history. It's not family history, it's just loads of Rolling Stone magazines that The Right Prescription and Oodles of Noodles were never reviewed in. Donna thinks it's sweet that Susan keeps all Zeke's old reports etc, her mum never kept anything because they were always moving around. Her gran on the other hand has never thrown anything out in at least forty years. Zeke has a brainwave - Donna's gran might have some of Cass' old stuff which might have clues about her dad.
Harold's
Zeke and Donna stock up on snacks for the bus journey to Donna's gran's. Lyn is on the phone to Oscar leaving a message to call her as soon as he can. Libby and Steph come in discussing the Toadie and Lucas issue. Libby thinks it's good that Lucas wants to be mates again. Steph is suspicious of his motives.
LIBBY: Do you really think he's that underhanded?
STEPH: I know he is.
LIBBY: Are you sure you're not feeling this way because...
STEPH: Because why?
LIBBY: Because you wish he was still chasing you?
Steph sets her straight, she and Toadie are together now and she just wants to protect him.
Charlie's
An extra is having a lot of trouble getting served at the bar. Toadie comes in and joins Lucas and thanks him for dropping his car off. They make small talk about headlamps. Lucas invites him to have lunch as a final apology. Toadie awkwardly agrees. Sonya walks in and there's even more awkwardness as she gives the boys a savage look. Toadie goes to grab a table and Sonya swoops down on Lucas chastising him for being sneaky. She tells him he's better than this. Whatever.
Lucas joins Toadie with menus and they make a deal to put an end to all chick talk for the day.

Charlie's
Toadie calls work to cancel all his meetings and appointments. He and Lucas continue to drink beer and play pool.
Bus Stop
Zeke and Donna eat their snacks and gossip about Kate and Declan. Donna is curious about Zeke suddenly having an interest in helping her out. Zeke feels like he's made things pretty hard for her and he also feels guilty about deleting that email back when she first started looking for her dad. She confesses she deleted one too after the whole James saga. She knows Zeke was just looking out for her.
ZEKE: I still am.
Hospital
Susan bumps into Lyn who is delivering cakes and comfort to the patients. Susan doesn't know where Lyn finds all the time and checks that Lyn is ok. She goes off to deliver Karl's reading glasses and Beatrice wheels along for a chat with Lyn.
Later on Lyn has cornered Karl and demands to know why Beatrice is being shunted off to a nursing home after her hip replacement. Karl agrees to get social services to look into it, but Lyn has a list. Next up Mrs Collins and her x- rays...Mr Batel and his knee exercises. Frustrated Karl tells Lyn to butt out and let him get on with his job.
LYN: Let you get on with ignoring the patients you mean.
KARL: Alright, that's enough. I want you out of this hospital. Now. (he presses a red button on the wall)
LYN: Going to call security I suppose.
KARL: I already have.
Lyn makes a run for it.
Garage
Steph and Libby find the garage Lucas- free. Steph calls him to see where he is, given he was supposed to be back half an hour ago.
Charlie's
Lucas rejects Steph's call as unimportant.
Garage
Steph knows Lucas is up to something as he's turned his phone off. Libby thinks Steph might be being a bit harsh but Steph tells her she doesn't know the full story. She explains that Lucas tried to kiss her and then she told him to stop hassling her and....
LIBBY: SO what does this mean?
STEPH: It means I've got three cars to service by the end of the day and nobody to help me.
Harold's
Lyn is on the phone to Oscar again.
LYN: I just wanted to say that I understand that you can't come down at the moment and that's fine because you're such a busy bee and uh...(she tears up) and I...I'd really love to see your face. Ok sweetheart, you just...call me as soon as you can. Love ya. Byee!
Poor Lynnie tries very hard not to cry which goes completely unnoticed by Steph who rages in looking for Lucas.
Charlie's
Toadie has won another game of pool and it's Lucas' shout again. The boys are having a whale of a time. Steph, however, isn't so impressed to see them shirking off work and having fun. She tells Lucas that he won't be paid for today and will be making up the time tomorrow. Toadie doesn't get her problem, he thought it was all ok with her.
STEPH: Oh I hope you know what you're doing.
TOADIE: Yeah, we're playing pool.
STEPH: Yeah, with Lucas!
Toad assures her it's all good, but Steph still doesn't trust him and tells Toadie to be careful.
Number 28
Zeke and Donna arrive back with two boxes of Cass' stuff. Susan asks if she's going to look inside, but Donna thinks she might wait, she isn't sure what she's going to find. Zeke tells her to get on with it now and is awesomed out to find Duran Duran on vinyl. Donna pulls out some photos that have had someone torn out of them. Next she finds a diary, but it's locked. Zeke offers to get a screw driver, but Donna thinks it's locked for a reason. There's possibly stuff in there she doesn't want to know, stuff about her etc.
ZEKE: Or it could hold answers to all your questions. This could be good news.
Charlie's
Sonya is surprised to find Lucas still at the bar (where he is topping up one beer with lemonade). She tells him about the film she just saw.
SONYA: IT was about a guy who was so obsessed with revenge so he ended up losing everyone he cares about.
LUCAS: Don't think I'd like that.
Sonya watches Lucas and Toadie for a minute before going over to them to say "g'day" to Toadie.
SONYA: I hear you're wiping the table with this guy.
TOADIE: Yeah, it's getting pretty ugly.
SONYA: Well be careful, he plays dirty. Just take care ok?
Toadie thought Sonya hated him. Lucas doesn't know what goes on in the mind of a woman. Sonya was just toying with him.
Number 30
Toadie is singing and dancing drunk as Lucas helps him home and sits him down. Toadfish sleepily gets himself comfy and starts to drift off. Lucas wants to talk though, he never heard what happened with him and Steph when they went away. Toadie is already asleep though. He smiles and starts talking in his sleepy- state.
TOADIE: I love you sssssss....sssss.......I love you Sonya.
Well ain't that just music to Lucas' ears. He should have had Summer's iPod on hand!
