NEW OPENING TITLES
It's back to a good old style colourful community based credits. The wind blows the seeds off a dandelion clock outside number 28 and they fly away to spell out the names of the characters who are having fun around the pool dressed in co-ordinating blue, orange and black outfits.
- Declan leaps with superhuman power out of the pool and lands laughing between Kate and Donna.
- Lucas and Toadie cook up a storm on the barbeque.
- Andrew, Ringo and Zeke soak each other with water pistols.
- Karl and Susan cuddle up on a swing seat with Audrey.
- Lou pinches a chocolate decoration off Lyn's cake.
- Harry lies on the side of the pool while Summer splashes water about.
- Rebecca closes Paul's laptop and gives him a kiss.
- Callum, Ben and Sophie play street cricket.
- Libby and Steph laugh and drink smoothies.
- The Neighbours logo shines across a view of numbers 22 and 24.
An excellent way to celebrate 25 years of Neighbours. Happy Birthday!
- Callum bowling a fast ball at Steph
- Harry confronting Andrew about Summer
- Steph and Lucas getting locked in the store room of the garage.
- Callum finding the key to the store room.
- Lucas telling Steph that he knows she loves him.
Toadie and Steph arrive back on the street. Steph is still tired and stressed but refuses to go and see Karl because he'll just order tests. Lucas pulls into the street and daggers are shot. Steph explains that she was going to fire him, but she doesn't have a valid reason to. Toadie suggests she quits. Steph thinks the answer is in proving to Lucas that what she and Toadie has is real and that she's over him. Oh well that's going so well so far. Steph also needs to win Callum over so that they can look like a happy family.
Lyn reminds Steph that she had the same problem with Boyd as she's facing with Callum and that patience is key. She suggests that Callum is jealous of Steph and that he sees her as competition for Toadie. Lyn passes Steph Callum's scarf that he left in Charlie's room. Steph has a brainwave.
Kate and Declan are scoffing green cupcakes when Summer, Andrew and Harry troop in. They talk about the whole Mia saga. Harry offers to get drinks and Andrew and Summer flirt for ages while Harry feels like a third wheel. He heads back to the bar for more drinks and gets chatting to Geeky Chris. Declan thought Harry was going to tell summer that he liked her, and Harry explains about Andrew crashing the date. Declan reminds Harry that Andrew hates losing and will play dirty.
DECLAN: Harry, you're a great bloke. Andrew's not. Look what he did to Donna! Who do you want Summer to end up with?
Summer comes in to find out what Harry is doing today, but gets distracted by Andrew. On the other side of the store Sophie tells Callum to ask Andrew for advice on a cool hair cut. Callum is worried he'll think he's stupid and bottles it. Harry hatches a plan and tells Sophie and Cal that Andrew thinks they're really cool and would like to hang out more with them. The pair and rapt and go to join him. Summer decides she can't compete with the kids and leaves with Harry.
Andrew has to go to work but Sophie and Callum want to watch him. Lucas tells Andrew that they were hanging out at the garage with him and were fine. Andrew isn't impressed and fails to feign disappointment when Toadie comes over and says that Callum can't hang out because they need to talk. Lucas asks after Steph since small confined spaces can make people do strange things. Sophie follows Andrew to work and tells him how stoked she was when Harry said he really wanted to hang out with his little cousin. Andrew spies Harry and Summer in the distance and is irked.
Andrew has left Sophie doing his rubbish detail so that he can pick a bone with Harry. He knows exactly what Harry was doing dumping the kids on him and thinks it was well played. He didn't realise they were playing dirty though.
HARRY: We're not.
ANDREW: You've set the bar now.
HARRY: Trust me it's a clean game I wouldn't...
ANDREW: At least own it mate, if this is what you want, bring it on.
Ad Break Snap shot: Scott and Charlene's Wedding
Declan, Kate and Lyn coo over India when Harry comes in to speak to Dec. He explains that he is dead meat because he took his advice to play dirty and it's all backfired. Declan reminds Harry of what he actually said and Harry realises that he's such a loser.
DECLAN: What's he going to do? How bad could it possibly be?
HARRY: Are you serious? He's a Robinson!
Callum swears he didn't know Steph was locked in the store room. Steph knows he didn't and gives him a hug and apologises for hogging Toadie. She assures him that they always have time for him, no matter how busy they are. She presents him with his scarf and when he unravels it Callum finds footie tickets hidden within. Callum is totally won over and runs off to check the fixtures. Steph receives a text from Lucas asking her to let him know when she decides to be honest.
Andrew drops by and idly asks if Summer has noticed that Harry is a bit of a weirdo loner. He thinks Harry needs a girl in his life because he's always in his room by himself. St. Andrew just wishes they could show people the real Harry and get him a girlfriend. Summer has an idea.
Harry the Loner is actually sitting talking basket ball with Geeky Chris. Summer asks to catch up later with him and he and Chris think she's just asked him out. Chris advises him to buy aftershave.
Toadie, Steph and Callum come in. Callum is still rapt about the tickets. Lyn decides it's pancakes all round. Lucas thinks the happy families thing is all an act. Steph refuses to play games. She tells him she's not in love with him in the most unconvincing way possible ever.
Steph is stressing out about Lucas. Toadie thinks they just have to keep going with the hugs and affection (what affection?), but Steph doesn't think it's working with Lucas. Toadie calls for Callum, they need to do something bigger. He asks Callum how he would feel about Steph and Charlie moving in. Steph keeps trying to interject by saying it might be a bit soon but Toadie ploughs on about teammates etc. Railroaded, Cal agrees.
Sophie and Callum are helping carry Steph's stuff across the street. Callum tells her that he only agreed because Toadie is always in such a mood this might make him happy. Lyn is going to miss Steph and Charlie, but knows they're just across the street. Steph suggests she does three days and number 30 and four days at home, but Lyn tells her she doesn't do things by halves. Toadie checks that Steph is ok with the situation and they hug it out watched by Lucas.
The amazing roving oval mirror that only appears in the lounge rooms of the houses on Ramsay Street has made a stop at number 24 so that Harry can try out different shirts for his "date" with Summer. Definitely don't go with the dodgy shades Harry! He plumps for a dark striped number and a dousing of aftershave. He tries out his Mr Cool talk which is excruciatingly embarrassing and repeats his mantra.
HARRY: I am one cool dude, when I'm with Summer.
Harry has changed into a checked shirt and gets teased by Kate for wearing aftershave. Summer waves to him over the bar and immediately introduces him to Renee. Summer and Renee met through soccer. Andrew is also helpfully there and explains that Renee loves sport and Harry is awesome at basketball. Harry feels anything but awesome.
After the break, Andrew is still bigging up Harry by telling Renee how he was on the radio with Lost Boy.
RENEE: Oh my god I totally heard that! I remember thinking how cute you sounded...
The girls go off for drinks.
HARRY: Good one. Too bad it won't work though. I'll just dump Renee and then your plan's down the drain. Nice try though.
ANDREW: My plan? Renee is Summer's friend. I mean all I did was say how lonely you were and the rest was Summer's idea.
HARRY: It was?
ANDREW: Yeah, all I did was say you don't have that many mates and she did the rest.
Harry can't believe Andrew. Andrew tells him that Summer will be really disappointed if this doesn't work and Harry wouldn't want to disappoint Summer, would he?
- Summer continues to play cupid between Harry and Renee
- Paul tells Andrew he can't afford to keep paying him to work at Lassiters.
- Rebecca reminds Andrew that he will be sent back to Sydney if he causes more trouble.
- Summer tells Harry he's everything a girl would want in a boyfriend.
