Ramsay St
Karl's come home from work as Dan approaches him with a newspaper asking him what he was thinking when he printed the article. Callum and Toadie are walking Rocky and Callum comments that it doesn't look good. Toadie tells him to wait and walks towards them. Dan says that the paper got them into this mess in the first place and Karl's using it to get them out of it. Susan and Toadie join them and Susan learns of the article herself. Karl says that the hospital makes its decision based on public opinion and Dan says they'll take one look at the newspaper and clam down even harder. Libby joins them and asks them to stop. Susan notices Callum up the path with Rocky and suggests that they talk inside but Dan ignores her and tells Karl's he could have made it worse and should have thought about the consequences. Libby argues that Karl was fighting for them and Toadie asks the unnamed hospital source but Karl can't say. Susan notices he has boxes and learns Karl's been suspended from the hospital. Karl says he knew the story would cost him and he did it for Libby.
Number 28
The only one who doesn't agree with this being a good idea is Dan, thinking they're provoking them. Dan clearly states that he thinks it's a mistake yet Susan thinks they've treated Karl really badly. Karl admits he's only been suspended and Susan tells him he's back on the cleaning roster.
Number 26
Donna's really excited about the baby coming home and says she bought her a bunny outfit with matching ears and hat. She squeals with delight as the car pulls up outside.
Steve is showing Rebecca the room he's fixed up for the baby. Rebecca thinks it's lovely and fine for the baby but she's not quite sure about Bridget. We haven't yet seen the room but as far as we know, there's pink.
Declan is carrying Tadpole in the little baby seat as Donna hugs Didge. They fuss over the baby, who's looking as adorable as ever, and Bridget asks where her dad is. Miranda says he's in the nursery but won't let anyone in there.
BRIDGET: Lets go have a look.
REBECCA: Uhh no. Not so fast!
DECLAN: Are you stalling us?
REBECCA: Yeah. Look, I think he's having a bit of a crisis, might want to change a few things around.
BRIDGET: That's ridiculous!
Donna suggests she should go in to make sure everythings ok but Bridget says that she can mind the baby. Donna doesn't want to deny minding Tadpole and they all leave for the nursery, leaving Donna happily fussing over the baby.
Bridget is the first to walk in the nursery and Steve asks her what she thinks of it. Bridget looks around and we see Steve has made a banner across the window saying 'Welcome Home Tadpole', he's decorated the room all pink with baby lights and has made the room look fantastic for the baby. Bridget beams and loves it and they walk in.
DECLAN: It's a bit...girly.
STEVE: Well, she is a girl.
Bridget notices the 'Welcome Home Tadpole' sign and Miranda comments on how she'll end up with Tadpole on her birth certificate. Bridget says it's time to come up with a proper name for her.
Number 28
The K's finish cleaning and Karl asks Libby if Dan'll be alright. Libby says he will be and asks her dad about his job. Susan says the hospital will see sense and Libby wants to talk to Toadie about legal pressure. Karl is looking miserable at the table as Susan has an idea, knowing what he needs. She brings the blue box out from the bedroom however Karl's not in the mood. However they take a sneak and they realise it's Libby's old craft box.
Later on, they haven't found the box. Susan retraces her steps and realises that she accidentally sold it at the fundraiser. Susan thinks it's all right. Know one will know where it came from.
KARL: Susan...there were photos.
Dun, dun, dun. Susan's gutted.
Number 26
Steve brings Tadpole in and Rebecca tells Steve off for doing her up all wrong. Everyone laughs at his mistake but Bridget makes things a little more serious, saying they still need a name and before Didge has hardly finished her sentence, Donna blurts out Britney. That's a no and she then suggests Paris from the plastic baby for the school project.
DECLAN: As in the city of romance or the celebrity?
DONNA: The celebrity.
BRIDGET: Whatever we choose, she's got it for life!
Donna remembers the name Starline but again that's a not. After many names being suggested of celebrities, Bridget's adamant she's not naming her baby after some celebrity.
Number 30
Toadie walks in as Libby is using the hormone drug and wonders if they should have given it a rest until everything slows down at the hospital but Libby says no, they've paid for the drugs and the cycle's stared and she'll keep going until the hospital board changes its minds. Libby considers legal action and from Toadie's reaction she claims he's being unsupportive. Toadie says he backs her 100% but legal action will cost a lot.
LIBBY: We've got a strong case.
TOADIE: Do you think that'll get you justice?
LIBBY: That's what I want.
TOADIE: I thought you wanted a baby?
Toadie wants Libby to think about what she's doing and names all of the problems her family are going through. He says there are other ways to have a baby but not for Libby.
Later, Libby and Dan walk in on Toadie and Libby tells him she doesn't want to fight. She says that she needs to know if he doesn't want to represent them so they can find someone soon. He says he'll let them know and they leave as Callum walks in. Toadie reads the article written by Karl.
KARL VO: All Libby and Dan want is to bring a child of their own into the world. A child they will love and who will enrich all of our lives.
Toadie looks at Callum trying to train Rocky and smiles.
KARL VO: So, I'm asking for your understanding. We're loving parents, seeking to give our daughter the one thing she wants most in life. We're not giving into prejudice. We will fight for the right to pursue our daughters dream.
Callum squeals that Rocky learnt how to sit on command.
CALLUM: He got it!
TOADIE: Yeah...I think he did.
Ramsay St
Susan and Karl are walking out when they notice Didge, Dec and Donna with the newborn and welcome Didge home. They fuss over the baby and ask if there's a name but learn it's still Tadpole for the moment. They ask if they bought anything from the fundraiser but they didn't. Karl spots the random Ramsay's outside their house and ask them the same question but no luck. Declan comes back, remembering Libby put left over fundraiser stuff in their garage and that Rebecca was going to give them to the Salvo's but doesn't know when. Susan and Karl look over to Number 26 and say they've got to get into the garage.
Gym
Dan gets a visit from Harry as he lifts weights and Harry comments on the yelling at Karl about the newspaper that morning. Dan says he wasn't yelling but Harry says otherwise. Dan says they had a difference of opinion. Harry says he read the paper and, even though the whole things weird, it made sense. What the hospital did was wrong. Harry lies on the bench to lift weights and Dan talks to him about posture when lifting.
Number 28
Karl and Susan discuss ways to get into the garage and Susan tells Karl to make up a story. Libby and Dan walk in and Dan apologises, the story has seemed to have made a difference. Toadie walks in finding Dan and Libby and says he'll be their lawyer. He's arranged a meeting with the hospital board and says it'll be tough on everyone.
Number 26's Garage
Susan and Karl open the garage and roam around for the blue box, Karl wondering if they believed his story. Susan tells him to shut up and look but they soon find the blue box in Rebecca's hands standing at the driveway. She was cleaning out the garage and knew to put it away before the kids saw. Rebecca tells them to never speak of this again and they awkwardly agree. As they leave, Kate comes up with a gift from her and her siblings. She asks Rebecca to give it to her and Rebecca asks why she doesn't give it to Bridget herself but Kate doesn't want to get in the way. Rebecca says she's more than welcome in.
Number 26
Rebecca leads Kate in and Kate gives a bunny she's made herself and say that it's her first stuffed bunny toy and rabbits are important for the stories.
REBECCA: Oh yeah! Peter, Miffy...
STEVE: The Easter Bunny.
REBECCA: Trust you to bring it back to chocolate, Steve.
Donna walks in with a giant board of the top 100 girls names and tells Declan that he's going to be blindfolded and put a star on the board and whatever name he puts the star on, will be her name. He lands the star on Madonna and all disagree. Declan gets ready to go again.
Nursery
None of the names were right and put Tadpole to sleep. They try to leave but Tadpole starts to cry. She likes the sound of Bridget's voice so Bridget talks to her, asking her to sleep.
BRIDGET: We just want you to get some sleep, because we really want you to grow up big and strong. we've got lots of exciting plans for you.
DECLAN: Like what?
BRIDGET: Well, we're all going to see the world together. Just the three of us and, if I can still study to be a doctor while I'm looking after you, then we will live in another country one day. Like Zimbabwe or India!
She continues to talk and Declan outbursts that he's found the name. India. Bridget loves it and Tadpole appears to like it. The parents are at the door and they tell them the name is India.
Hospital Conference Room
Toadie, Dan and Libby are waiting and the board walk in and sit down. Tim Collins walks in, who Toadie is not happy to see or to hear that he's representing the hospital.
A little later into the meeting, Toadie and Tim discuss certain issues about the hospital board. Toadie says that Karl was suspended instead of sacked because the board felt guilty for the treatment of his family. Tim says Toadie's personal involvement in the case is affecting his professionalism and Toadie thinks that's ridiculous. He says he's there as a representative t the family. He starts to get angry and begins to shout and Libby tells him to calm down. The head of the board says that he's heard enough and they're finished. They leave and Toadie apologizes. That was their one chance and Libby fires him.
