Police Station/Charlie's/Erinsborough Hospital
Paul is told to put all of his belongings in a box and does so, Toadie being by his side. Elle walks into Charlies and she and Rebecca have a tense moment as Rebecca sorts through letters. In the hospital Monica hands Katie a form to sign and Karl watches through the window, sorrowful. We flip through clip to clip of Paul now being fingerprinted and Rebecca seeing Elle upset about her father, in an emotionless way. At the hospital, Monica brings out Jill's belongings and gives them to Katie, who starts welling up with tears. Sophie rushes out to get her some tissues from the front desk and gives them to Katie. Next in Charlie's, Rebecca comforts Elle and finally we see Paul being taken to be interviewed.
Number 26
Declan is explaining what happened to Didge and Bridget is saying the man who was driving could be mistaken. Either way, Paul lied to Declan. Declan sympathises with his mother but Bridget sympathises with Declan.
Harold's Store
Steph is angry at Paul, thinking that he couldn't get any worse but then he does, this time with his own flesh and blood. Steve overhears them talking and tells them it's the hotel gossip. He asks how Donna is about it and they don't know. Steph wonders if they know about it as Steve realises their working on the script for the play and says he'll come back later. Steph wants him to stay however he says it's fine and leaves and Steph and Dan feel sorry for him, reckoning he's lonely but he'd never admit it. They discuss the ending of the play, Steph surprising Dan when she says she prefers the new ending better, as Donna walks in being happy as she always is asking if it's the new play. Dan and Steph look at her awkwardly and Donna thinks that Sunny wants the old part back so she's scrapped but Dan says its not and she just must be having a confusing day. Donna wasn't until that point and Steph ushers Dan to leave and for Donna to sit as she asks what's wrong.
A short while later and Donna looks shocked until she suddenly suggests that Stella have a puppy at the start. Donna starts acting bubbly and grabs a drink, moving around to stop tension but Steph tells her to sit. Steph tells Donna that she's sorry she didn't hear about Paul and maybe Elle didn't call because she didn't want to worry her or she's too upset. Donna thinks that when it all boils down, she doesn't figure. Steph says Elle would most likely explain everything if she called. Donna thanks her but being Steph in the play is the only cool thing that's happening. Donna doesn't get why Stella and Gerard don't get together and Steph says it's not meant to be. Donna's trying to make sense of how Stella knows Gerard's not the one and Steph says Donna wouldn't want to get inside her head. Steph says its not about blokes - it's about riding bikes!
Number 32
Donna walks out in biker gear, looking excited. Steph gives her a helmet and they each sit on an arm of the sofa as Steph teaches Donna how to ride a motorbike. They even launch off in to riding, Donna hilariously 'driving' off of the arm of her chair.
Erinsborough Hospital
Karl brings the Ramsay kids a drink each as they sit in his office, Karl says he prefers tropical and Sophie disagrees sayings apple's the best. Katies tries to pay Karl, however Karl says its fine yet Katie puts it on his desk as payment anyway. Karl says he'd like a social worker to see them at home but Katie says they don't need it - their aunt Carol is coming down from Sydney. Karl wants to know if she can see him tomorrow, saying there will be apple drink to Sophie and Katie gives up and agrees. Karl goes to call social services to tell them it's under control, whilst giving Katie her money back, insisting she keep it. Once Karl leaves, Sophie asks who's going to look after them and Katie says she will. Sophie argues that she never gets to lie and Katie does but Katie asks if she has a better solution to keep them together. Harry says Karl's not stupid and he knows there's no aunt Carol but Katie says she needs Harry on her side. Sophie gets anxious and Katie reassures her that she's stuck with her siblings and Harry stubbornly goes to get coffee. Katie explains to Sophie that it was a little white lie, not a real one.
Police Station
Toadie is looking through the evidence report and complains on the lack of evidence but Sgt Morris says it's all they need. Toadie says that the witness killed a woman, hasn't got a licence and fled the scene, but Morris says it doesn't stop Paul from telling the truth. She asks Paul if he pushed Jill Ramsay in front of the car. Toadie says Paul knows not to answer the questions. Times goes on and Paul hasn't said a word. Instead, we hear Paul's thoughts of him threatening Jill to stay away as Toadie tries calling him but he doesn't respond. They're about to suspend the interview until Paul pipes up saying he killed her.
Later, Paul is in a cell, Toadie sitting with him and he wants to know what's going on. Paul says she has three kids, one being in primary school and no father. If he wasn't there, confronting Jill then the children would still have a mother. Toadie asks if he did it and Paul says he is just as responsible, saying that he didn't run her over and Toadie's not happy. It's true, all of Toadie's clients can't help but confess.
Harold's Store
Paul is front page of his own newspaper and Steve says to Bridget and Declan that some Bruce at Lassiter's says there's no way Paul did it. Miranda and Mickey walk in, Steve commenting on Mickey's new haircut and Mickey asks Steve if he'll help him change Zippy the Fish's filter. Steve tries to get him to ask Bridget but Mickey wants Steve to so Steve tells him to pop by at the vet clinic later making a brisk escape. Donna walks in, wearing Steph-like clothes for Stella. Declan and Bridget wave across the store and Donna flings her jacket over her shoulder doing a strut to the counter. Steph makes a quick call to Elle, telling her she needs to talk to her about Donna when she gets her answer phone.
Erinsborough Hospital
Susan is by the front desk as the Ramsay kids walk out with Karl. Karl tells them Monica will look after them now as there are papers to sign. Susan approaches Karl as they leave and Karl explains who the kids are. Susan's saddened for them and Karl tells her to reconsider working for Paul. Susan argues that he hasn't been convicted of anything yet. But for Karl, seeing those kids makes him hate Paul. Karl explains they have no one even though they say they have an Aunt Carol but they can't contact her. Maybe because she doesn't exist. Susan asks how they're going to manage at their age.
Ramsay Street
Paul, Toadie and Rebecca are back from the police station only to be welcomed by the media. They ask him questions as a cab pulls up and out comes the bear we all missed: Lou! Hooray! He overhears the questions they ask and steps in to say he has a statement on behalf of the family. Toadie tells them all to direct their questions to Lou, giving them a perfect escape. They surround him and he gets a random piece of paper.
LOU: I had a marvellous time up north! Cheers for asking and I'm very happy to be home. No thanks to you lot!
Lou grumbles at the media, shoving past them to #26. He has a go at them about being on private property as they follow him. Lou grabs a reporters camera after he called Lou an old man.
LOU: Paul Robinson may be a scumbag but you lot take the cake! I fought in Vietnam! So just take off, this is my home and I don't want you here, alright?
Lou lets go of the camera, glares at him and then looks at the camera, sort of posing for a photo.
Ah Lou...what a return.
Number 26
Miranda, Bridget and Mickey crash in after running away from the media and are happy when Lou makes an appearance. They all greet him as Rebecca sits down and Miranda joins her. Rebecca says Paul got bail and Mickey asks why he can't stay. He didn't do anything wrong in Mickey's eyes. Lou takes Mickey to show him a scary picture he got of Harold. Miranda says that she and Paul can stay for as long as they need. Rebecca goes to tell an anxious Paul in the kitchen and he immediately tells Rebecca he didn't push her. Rebecca believes him and Paul suggests getting out of Erinsborough. Rebecca says no as she'll go through all of this with him and he needs to sign the police station everyday. Paul says he loves her and Rebecca says it back. She makes him promise he wont go anywhere.
Ramsay House
Susan finds Katie outside her house and introduces herself. Katie thinks its more forms but Susan says its not an official visit and Susan explains her strange connection to her family about how Ramsay Street was named after her family. She has the big book of Ramsay Street and offers her a look through but when we hear Harry and Sophie arguing from inside, Katie says she has to go. Susan offers to help like shopping but Katie says their 'aunt' has is covered. Susan sees the Erinsborough News outside the house, with Paul on the front page.
Number 22
Donna wants to know if Elle's ok as she walks in the house. Elle's really tired and asks about Donna's outfit. To be honest, I was about more about Elle's. Donna says it's for the play.
ELLE: Oh Steph.
DONNA: (taking it to offence) Yeah, Steph.
Elle says she called and was worried about her and Donna says she's glad someone was but Elle didn't hear that. Donna says she learnt some new biking stuff and Elle says it sounds fascinating, even though she's not really paying any attention. Donna says at least Steph trusts her but Elle says that she didn't want to burden her. Donna says her father's a criminal on the run, how could she burden her? Donna said she could have helped but Elle says there was nothing she could have done. Donna asks if it's because she's a kid and Elle says it is. Elle didn't have the energy or time. The phone rings and Elle answers to Susan just after telling Donna they'll talk later. She leaves Donna looking pretty upset.
Ramsay Street
Donna goes up to Steph's bike, in her new gear and mounts it. She says to herself that it can't be too hard. As she puts the shade thing down on her helmet, Dan walks past thinking it's Steph and as Donna revs up, Steph hears her. She rides off as Steph tries to catch her but she's already going down the road. We see Steph in panic as we hear a loud skidding of brakes and a crash...
