Toadie trying not to let Steph have a copy of the play with the new ending.
Number 32
Steph is just about to start reading the new script when Greg comes in. She tries and fails to hide it but when he spots it, suggests that they both read it together so they can find out what Gerard and Stella get up to this time.
Number 30
Toadie is crapping himself because Steph has the script and knows she is going to go ballistic. He tells Dan to get the scripts back from the cast and crew because he wants every copy destroyed. Dan tells him to chill because he'll get the scripts back at camp and its unlikely the kids will have read this version since it would be like doing homework although he points out to Toadie that he's now running a drama camp without a play! Toadie promises to write yet another new ending for camp but Dan points out that the only copy of the script that he really needs is the one Steph has.
TOADIE: You're right. I need to send someone to steal it back.
DAN: Yip.
Number 32
Steve calls round on the pretence of watching the Spanish F1 Grand Prix but really he's there to steal back the script from Steph. He just about succeeds too when Steph and Greg finally fall asleep but just as he is ready to nab it, Greg wakes up. However Steve thinks quickly, and says that he was just trying to get away because he spotted a spider near Steph and departs in a hurry minus the vital script.
Number 28
Zeke sees that Sunny is up late too and she tells him about the changes to the script - and that they have to kiss. She is going to get Dan to change the script because she doesn't want to quit (once was enough, twice would be embarrassing!) He asks if the changes are not for the better but she tells him to read the script first before throwing bad ideas around!
Harold's Store (next day)
Toadie is miffed at Steve failing in his mission and Steve reminds him he still has to carry out his payment for the missing - cleaning out the animal cages.
TOADIE: If you brought the script back.
STEVE: They think I'm a pervert; I deserve some sort of payment for that.
TOADIE: Brekkie with the lot?
STEVE: Not good enough.
They then spot Steph entering the store and Steve decides he's out of here. We then go into slow-mo with voice over Toadie first of all saying that he is a dead man because Steph's read the script but when she heads over to another part of the store he thinks he's safe because she hasn't read it. He then wants her to turn round and give him a sign that he isn't planning his own funeral. To his relief, she walks past him to the counter before turning back and asking if he is okay and hoping that he is not coming down with something.
He discovers (thankfully) that Steph hasn't been able to read the script yet because she wanted to read it alone but promises to read it tonight. His day gets better though when Steph confirms the script is at home.
School
While Dan collects the scripts in the background, Kyle is moaning at having to go to drama camp and playing drama games and Zeke sarcastically asks Kyle if he'd prefer to go rafting! Ringo is looking forward to camp though because of the romantic opportunities but just as Sunny comes into the room, Zeke makes it clear that he won't be pashing anyone.
After Dan tells Sunny to forget she ever saw the script when she wanted to talk to him about it, Kyle tells Ringo that the coast is clear for him and Donna because Zeke's go his eye on Ugly Betty! Sunny doesn't like that comment and runs from the room straight into Donna who is happy to help her crisis!
Didge is also looking forward to going to camp because it's probably the last one she'll ever get to go on in her life once the baby arrives, so Declan promises that they'll have fun... that is until Rebecca shows up because Dan has roped her in to help supervise the camp since Kym's gone on holiday Libby's had to take off urgently to Queensland to help Anne and Billy out with their newly arrived twins! (And the audience are asking themselves what twins!!!) Rebecca then tells them that Karl is coming too, which begs the question why has he not gone with Libby to see his new grandchildren!!!
REBECCA: Oh stop carrying on, it's not like I'm one of those embarrassing mothers although I did bring you some more socks and jocks because I know you never pack enough.
Dan comes over to get Rebecca's assistance in getting the kids onto the bus and we cut to Sunny explaining to Donna what her problem is - she doesn't what her first ever kiss to be live on stage. Donna points out the obvious solution - just get it out of the way at camp so that everyone can relax.
Break over and Dan gives the kids the bad news - the bus is running late so he uses the time to tell the kids which dorm they are in and that the boys and girls will not be mixing outwith the communal hall! Rebecca points out a flaw in Dan's plan - Didge and Declan since they share a bed "and I think it's fairly safe to say that horse has bolted some time ago" she adds much to Declan's embarrassment but Dan isn't budging on that rule. Declan's embarrassment continues when Rebecca goes all mushy on him and Rebecca promises to sort out anyone that causes her son trouble!
Meanwhile, Sunny gets her own back when she tells Donna that Ringo so wants her when he offers to swap sleeping bags if she gets cold with her own one (he's got a super duper warm one). Donna replies that she isn't going back there and will do as Sunny suggests (that she must make that clear to Ringo) but that is of lesser importance because Donna's #1 priority is to make sure Zeke kisses Sunny!
Number 32
Toadie thinks he is onto a winner when he enters #32 to find nobody home however just as he begins hunting for the script, he gets caught by Greg and explains his presence in the house as looking for a game Callum thinks he lost there.
Greg is onto him though and removes the script from his back pocket and asks him what Steph will think about it when she too reads it. Toadie explains to him why he changed the script (he was angry and stupid) and wants Greg to put it in the bin because Steph doesn't need to know about it.
GREG: No, no, no, no, no. Steph deserves to know what you are really like... pathetic.
TOADIE: I know you're jealous and the only reason why you are doing this is to score points.
GREG: Don't try and turn this back around on me, Steph deserves to hear about it.
After a bit of a pause, Toadie says "you're right" and gets out his mobile to call Steph - he doesn't want to give Greg the pleasure of being the one to tell her first.
Camp
Dan is trying to fill in the time until Toadie can come up with a new script by doing some exercises but the kids aren't keen on it and nor is Rebecca who has been observing, so he ends up tells the kids they can have some free time instead. "And after that Miss Napier will have a brand new and exciting activity for you" Dan announces to the kids, which of course is new to her!
Didge kisses Declan bye to head to the dorm for a nap and Ringo heads off to see if Donna wants to go for a walk but she turns him down as she is busy with Sunny. Ringo heads off cool after the knock back but Sunny is still nervous at the thought of kissing Zeke, so Donna and tells her to watch and learn... and goes over to where Kyle and Zeke are standing and pashes Kyle!
Charlie's
Steph turns up to meet Toadie and hopes it's important, as she is busy at work and has to pick Charlie up from day care.
TOADIE: I've got a confession.
STEPH: I'm not a priest, Toad.
TOADIE: It's the scripts... the one you haven't read.
STEPH: What about it?
TOADIE: It's bad.
STEPH: Toad, y'know everyone loves your writing. I wish you'd just get over this whole...
TOADIE: (interrupting her) No, no, it's not the writing, it's the content. Look when I wrote it I was really angry with you and I vented it through my writing. I think you should read it.
STEPH: (staring at him) Well how bad is it?
TOADIE: I recalled every single script, I ruined Dan's drama camp, I sent Steve around to try and steal it and then I tried to steal it back myself this morning.
STEPH: (stunned) Right, that bad huh?
TOADIE: Yes. Look listen, I'm going to sit here until you finish it and that way I can apologise for every single page of it.
Steph slowly picks up the script to read as we head into the commercial break.
Break over and Steph reads the script while Toadie finishes the meal (well cake) of a condemned man about to meet his death! When she finally finishes, she is rather shell-shocked.
TOADIE: For the millionth time Steph I'm so sorry.
STEPH: ...
TOADIE: Can you say something? D'you want to yell or scream?
STEPH: ...
TOADIE: Kick me in the goolies?
STEPH: ...
TOADIE: Can you say something please?
Steph doesn't and instead heads out of the bar. Toadie follows her, saying that he didn't mean it because she is too important to him but she ignores him and walks out of the bar.
Camp
Donna is sitting with the now rested Didge and Sunny trying to explain why she pashed Kyle. Meanwhile Kyle comes out of the guy's dorm thinking he is going to get past first base (with Donna) since he's put a clean t-shirt on! Zeke tells him not to rub it in, but Kyle replies that Ringo was cool about it and besides, Zeke is only jealous because Sunny won't pash him. Declan meanwhile is as board as Didge is and is grateful for her call to arrange a meeting at the hall.
Declan turns up at the hall... with Dan's jocks on his head much to the amusement of the teens. Turns out the teens are playing truth and dare and that was Declan's dare from Didge.
Ringo picks truth and Declan asks if he's ever limbo'd with a Grand Prix Grid Girl - he has much to the others surprise. "Let's just say the AFL has its perks" he adds although Donna looks like she wants to kill him!
Donna picks truth and Ringo asks how many guys she has kissed that she actually cared about. After a bit of a pause and embarrassed looks from the other teens, she eventually replies "none". Ringo can't believe her answer and she tries to move the game on but Ringo doesn't let her, wanting clarification that she's kissed guys but it meant nothing.
RINGO: There's a name for that.
SUNNY: Yes and you can talk you and your Grand Prix Grid Girls. Leave her alone.
Ringo wants to know what it's got to do with her and she replies that it's up to Donna to kiss whoever she wants. "Kissing's no big deal" she adds so Ringo dares her to kiss Zeke right now. Donna points out that it isn't Ringo's turn so he asks if she is avoiding it because she is scared, which Sunny is quick to deny. Ringo tells her to take Zeke into the nearby cleaning cupboard for ten minutes and she takes him up on his dare, telling him that she'll "see him in ten" whilst dragging Zeke with her.
Inside the cleaning cupboard
Final break over and space is very much a premium in the cupboard and they can hear shouts of "kiss, kiss, kiss" from the guys outside. Sunny asks what they are going to do and Zeke replies that is up to her just as the credits begin.
And as the credits begin, there are some new additions to the credits too: Katie Ramsay - Ashleigh Brewer, Harry Ramsay - Will Moore and Sophie Ramsay - Kaiya Jones.
