Number 28
Rachel practices her 'hello's' after dolling herself up with make up and a posh tight-fitting, revealing dress before calling Hamish.
Charlie's
Steph admits to Greg when he arrives, that she wondered if he would turn up or not. He agrees to her suggestion that they take their relationship slowly and to see where it takes them and seal it with a kiss.
The kiss however is seen from the other side of the bar by Veronica and tearfully she tells Libby (when Libby runs into her) that it isn't Steph's fault, that she and Greg were already over, before telling Libby to make an appointment to see her at the hospital. On the way out, Veronica stops to look at a happy Greg & Steph before leaving.
Number 26
Steve is in a happy mood eating and doing as he wants because Miranda is in Sydney seeing her mum and is stunned to see Rebecca and her belongings at the front door ready to move in with no note from Miranda to say that. Didge reminds him though, before leaving with Declan to see Donna, that there was a note left on top of the recycling which she took as him having read it.
Number 28
Rachel gathers Donna, Ringo and Ty to tell them her news - the record want to launch her with an interview on Video Hits that is being shot next week. Cue happy hugs from Donna before she announces that they've got work to do to get her ready as sexy, edgy Rachel K after Ringo told her to just be herself.
Ramsay Street
Donna ropes everyone into helping re-enact Rachel arriving at a red carpet although she has to stop Take 1 otherwise the paparazzi will get too much of a view as she gets out of the car!!! Take 2 is spot on and Rachel plays the part well 'posing' for pictures before abruptly coming face to face with her step-parents.
Karl gives her the once over and is more concerned at the red carpet being used aka his putting green turf. Donna comes over and explains what they doing and a dejected looking Karl says "fine" before heading back inside. Rachel asks if he is okay and Susan follows him up the path after replying "yes".
DECLAN: Was it just me or was that totally weird?
"Totally" Didge replies before taking his photo and winding him up by describing his eye colour as the others begin to smile.
Number 32
Steph takes Charlie home from the hospital and the lad wants to know where Ben is, so Steph explains to him that they've moved out but Ben will still be his best friend. She bribes him something nice after he gets changed to keep him onside and while he runs off to change, she calls Toadie to pass a message onto Libby that she's still got a box of belongings waiting to be moved.
Number 28
Rachel apologises to Didge for what she said and puts it down to what has been happening lately and that she didn't mean it. Didge jokingly reminds her that stress isn't good in her condition before bringing up that it seems weird doing this 'fun' stuff while Zeke is still missing. This doesn't please Rachel as she took it that they'd agreed not to mention it anymore.
DIDGE: I was just expressing concern.
RACHEL: Well don't be concerned for me and stop criticising everything I do. I know what I'm doing okay, just support me and be my friend.
Didge doesn't acknowledge that request, instead telling Rachel that she'll be at home if she needs her.
Number 32
Libby creeps into #32 followed by Dan and Toadie ready to lend a hand but Libby reassures them that isn't necessary, as Steph isn't going to be home but as they enter the house properly, Steph is sitting on the sofa.
TOADIE: Ah I must have got my wires crossed... sorry.
Libby and Steph make polite conversation before the guys step forward to pick up the last of her belongings and just as they are about to leave, Steph tells her she's missed something and throws her bridesmaid dress into Libby's arms.
LIBBY: (annoyed) Is that why you hung around so you could give this to me in person and make a statement?
STEPH: (casually) I just thought you might want it back you know, its no use to me any more.
LIBBY: (stunned) Yeah...absolutely. You can consider yourself out of the wedding.
STEPH: (flippantly) I wouldn't come to your wedding if you paid me.
Libby quickly leaves the house before she breaks down and the guys don't know where to look.
Number 28
Libby wonders how things have gotten this bad with Steph and makes it clear to Dan that she won't be the one the first move to appease things because she isn't responsible for any of this.
Number 26
Steve stews in the kitchen as Rebecca is bonding Didge over her pregnancy and what the baby moving feels like. Didge and Declan depart again (to help Rachel after another text from Donna) and Steve just stares at her (he's moved to where the kitchen and livingroom meet).
REBECCA: Would you like a word Steve?
STEVE: No, it can wait.
Charlie's
Steph arrives for her breast cancer meeting but before it starts, she goes up to Veronica and apologises for her behaviour at the hospital when she was treating Charlie.
VERONICA: But you're still seeing my husband.
Steph doesn't respond to that but asks that they both be professional for the committee and Veronica says she has the floor when Steph confirms that she has a fund raising suggestion.
Steph introduces herself to this committee (different faces from the hospital meeting) and suggests that they have a community fundraising effort - a male fashion parade held at Charlie's using the Dingoes players. The committee like her suggestion and Veronica is obliged to agree too.
Lassiters Complex
Susan apologises to Toadie for flying off the handle with Kelly but he agrees that Kelly went too far and that he feels he should apologise too. Karl arrives after changing the posters about Zeke and both of them are stunned to hear from Toadie about Rachel appearing on Video Hits.
They leave and Greg arrives to ask Toadie's advice on what to do regarding getting a divorce however before Toadie gets a chance to talk, Veronica arrives wanting to talk to Greg. Greg tells her there is nothing to talk about because he wants to be with Steph.
Harold's Store
Libby is fretting about not being able to find a form they need for their hospital appointment, so Dan suggests that they postpone seeing about IVF given the stress Libby is feeling but she won't hear a word of it. Things are taken out of their hand though, when they run into Veronica who wants to postpone their appointment, citing that she is snowed under, but Libby is having none of it - they've waited ages for the appointment as it is.
VERONICA: I'm surprised that you're pushing ahead with this at all; it's just too dangerous for you.
DAN: What do you mean dangerous?
VERONICA: Well after what happened last time, Libby's risking her life if she tries to carry another baby to term.
Looks like that is something else Dan and Libby haven't talked about judging by his raised eyebrows.
Number 28
Libby is still adamant that she wants to go ahead with another pregnancy and explains to him why - that he goes to mush after seeing the pictures from Sam's ultrasounds and that he runs to her side "every time she so much as sneezes".
DAN: Okay, this is about Sam?
LIBBY: Yes maybe it is, maybe I want to give you what she's giving you, what's wrong with that?
Dan reminds her that she is risking her life by doing that.
DAN: What's going on? First this stuff with Steph and then this?
Libby then gets flashbacks to the rafting accident and he asks that she talks to him but it isn't what he wants to hear.
LIBBY: I want a family and I won't apologise for that.
Number 28
Donna's latest task to help Rachel is staging a pretend press conference and Rachel plays the part well by having a strop although this time it is a pretend one and not her normal strop. Ty "catches" her as she runs away from the 'press conference' to ask what her step-parents thing about this.
Ramsay Street
Rachel explains to Karl and Susan how things will work out - that she'll only be on the road for a couple of weeks at the most and most of the dates are during the school holidays and when she is away its possibly only going to be for a couple of hours a day doing media things, still leaving her plenty of time to study.
RACHEL: Look you guys can come to gigs, meetings, anything.
SUSAN: I think we'll leave the meetings to Toadie.
RACHEL: I promise that I'll do anything to make this work. I really, really want it.
Karl is about to tell her that is a no-deal but Susan interrupts and gives their blessing, which Rachel is really pleased about. Happy Rachel departs and Karl wants to know when they discussed letting Rachel do this, mentioning that she hasn't mentioned Zeke at all. "And this is exactly why we have to let her do this" is Susan's reply because it's Rachel's way of coping. "We need to support her."
Number 26
Steve and Rebecca try to out do each other whilst pretending not to notice what the other is doing until she 'calls a truce' by throwing him a packet of crisps when he began drooling watching her eat a packet.
REBECCA: It's a shame there's no cricket on the telly.
STEVE: You want the sports section?
REBECCA: Ta.
Declan and Didge arrive home to the surreal situation and he is told by Steve to put Rebecca's bags into the spare room (hello what spare room!!!).
Number 32
Toadie returns an odd sock of Charlie's to Steph as an excuse to talk to her. She quickly tells him that her fight is with Libby, and doesn't want him to get involved.
TOADIE: Are you kidding me? The only time I get involved in two girls fighting is when there is mud or jelly involved.
He tells her about his meeting with Greg and that he sounds like a decent enough bloke... "a decent bloke going through a very messy end of a marriage."
TOADIE: Call me old-fashioned but I'm not really one for the rebound thing.
STEPH: Well look it may surprise you but Greg and I have actually spoken about it.
TOADIE: And it's worth losing a friendship over?
STEPH: Yes it is. You know it goes to show that Libby was never a true friend anyway.
(Later)
Steph's viewing of the TV is interrupted by a knock at the door and she thinks that Toadie is back but when she answers it, it isn't him but Greg that is on her doorstep.
GREG: Veronica's frozen all our bank accounts. I've got no money and I didn't know where else to go.
STEPH: Well you'd better come in then.
Steph opens the door to him and he walks into the house after kissing her and the look on Steph's face suggests she isn't exactly pleased.
