Erinsborough Hospital/Police Station
Bridget is massaging her mum's shoulders. Lou says he could swear he just saw Steve move his leg. Bridget receives a call on her mobile. It's Nicola. She tells her there's been a mix-up at the police station and could she tell Steve they're holding her there? After a pause Bridget just says 'oh my god, you're a psycho'. Miranda takes the phone, demanding to know who it is.
NICOLA: It's Miranda Parker, who is this?
MIRANDA: How dare you.
NICOLA: Put my daughter back on the phone.
MIRANDA: I don't know what you're playing at Nicola but it stops right now.
NICOLA: Please, I insist that you put my daughter back on the phone, or Steve, is Steve there please?
MIRANDA: Don't you ever ring Bridget again, do you hear me.
Miranda hangs up as Nicola continues to cry 'hello?' into the phone. Skinner takes the phone from her and tells her 'Nicola that's enough'. She asks him to stop calling her that. He tries to get her to calm down, but Nicola tells him she's Miranda Parker of 26 Ramsay Street and she's done nothing wrong.

Donna tells Elle the singing was a disaster, she would have been better 'chucking up' on Ty's feet. Lucas gets up to come over and Elle tries to pretend she's laughing at a joke, but Donna doesn't understand. Nor does she understand when Lucas calls Elle Mrs Robinson.
ELLE: I trust you're going to shower before this evening?
LUCAS: Before our big date you mean?
ELLE: No, a date is a meeting of two people who actually like each other; this is me repaying a favour.
LUCAS: OK, whatever you need to tell your friends.
She checks he won't be wearing 'that scruffy leather jacket' and he says she'll have to turn up at 8pm to find out. She retorts she'll be counting down the hours and walks off.
Donna tells Lucas that the date's off, because they're having a party for her tonight, but she doesn't know. She tells him if he cares about her, he'll keep his mouth shut and not show.
Charlie's Bar
Susan remarks that Libby hasn't been to see her. According to Steph her holiday has been cut short due to school requirements. Susan says it's good that Dan and Ben were able to stay longer.
Donna comes over to confirm that she saw Miss K getting out of a taxi, which means they can all come to Elle's surprise party now. They unenthusiastically agree they're going. Steph doesn't think Libby will make it though as she seems to have caught something on the plane. Donna asks her to try and get her to make it and leaves.
Steph then puts on a pathetic cough and says she doesn't feel too good herself Carmella encourages her, saying Elle has changed. Susan says she should drop in for the surprise. Carmella says to think how Elle would feel if no-one turned up, which makes Steph laugh.

Elle is all dressed up for her date and is dancing around the room. She checks herself in the mirror and asks the cat for its opinion as Paul comes in quietly behind her and turns the music off. Paul asks if she was talking to anyone, she says she was just singing along. Paul isn't fooled; he's beginning to think she's spending too much time with the cat. Paul thinks the cat looks at him disapprovingly, which Elle thinks it probably does. He presses her to reveal that she's going out with Lucas, 'but it's not a date'. He tells her she looks gorgeous, and he hopes Lucas is worth it. He walks away and Elle says 'me too'.
Erinsborough Hospital
Dr Levi tells Miranda that Nicola is in a bad way, and tells her to be calm, as he unlocks the door to the room and lets her in. Nicola looks her and says 'who are you?'. Miranda tells her not to play games with her. Nicola says she's tried to call her husband everywhere but he's not answering. Miranda tells her to stop it, there's no-one there that will help her case. Nicola becomes upset and begs Miranda to help her. She says if Steve was there he'd sort it out 'there must be something wrong'. Miranda holds her hands and asks Nicola to tell her what her name is
NICOLA: I'm sorry I don't know. Did you tell me before?
MIRANDA: Fine. Well whatever this is, it doesn't change anything, I don't want you anywhere near my family ever again.
Nicola becomes distressed and approaches the nurse. Dr Levi rushes in as the nurse secures Nicola in her arms. Nicola says that 'this mad woman' is trying to confuse her, and can he get her out of there.

Lou and Kelly lead the Pups in after a training session. Their chat is interrupted by Callum and Mickey fighting. When Kelly questions Mickey, he says that Callum said Nicola was a witch. Callum says it's true, how else did Uncle Steve get sick? Kelly wants him to apologise, but Callum sticks to his story, saying she gave him a 'potion'. Kelly says it's not true, but Lou coughs to suggest it might be. Callum gets worse, saying Steve turned green and bubbles came out of his mouth. Mickey calls him a liar again and Lou sends them out to the car. The boys continue fighting and Lou tells them if there's anymore, they won't get ice-cream on the way home.
Kelly asks Lou if he's telling her Nicola's really a witch. He says no, but she asks what's going on. He covers saying it's a long and sordid story.

TOADIE: What did you say to him?
CALLUM: said I'd meet his sister behind the shop shed after the game.
TOADIE: Did it work?
CALLUM: He never got near the ball after that.
TOADIE: Oh, that is great!
No he says, it's about the fight with Mickey. Callum says that's sorted out. He asks if he apologised. He says even better, he gave him some chocolate. Toadie says he knows Callum's upset with Nicola....Callum says Mickey was the one who got upset, and he's glad that she got to Steve before she got to them, but Steve didn't deserve it.
Toadie says Nicola would never have hurt them. She loved them. Callum says she loved Steve, but to do something like that to family... Toadie says Nicola is good person who got confused. Callum says like the time he used Toadie's good shirt for an art smock. Toadie says he has a right to be upset, but good people sometimes do bad things. Callum says that's OK, then asks to play a video game.

CALLUM: You reckon she got into the peanut butter?
BRIDGET: You're not a dummy are you?
He says he's come to drop Bronte off. Bridget says she's not theirs. Callum says she'll have to go to the pound. Bridget just says 'I guess'. This makes him sad about when his mum got sick and their dog had to go the pound. Bridget softens and says they'll take her. Callum leaves and Bridget strokes the dog, telling her it wasn't her fault.
Erinsborough Hospital
Bridget has come along and tells her mother she should have called her earlier. Miranda says she should have heard her (Nicola) and Bridget says she's always been messed up. Dr Levi comes out and says Nicola is suffering extreme paranoia exacerbated by trauma from the accident, and is completely delusional. She needs full time psychiatric care. Bridget asks if she'll go to court. Dr Levi says it's not up to him. She's being moved and will be reassessed after treatment. He walks off.
Miranda says she doesn't know how she feels. Bridget says she'll be looked after, and won't be able to hurt anyone anymore. Miranda watches Nicola through the window, who's rocking back and forth.
Charlie's Bar

Elle gets a message from Lucas saying he can't make it and suggesting a raincheck. She looks sadly over at Steph and Libby before beginning to cry and walking out. This makes them feel bad, and suddenly Libby's symptoms have cleared up. They decide to try and get there before Elle does.

We see Carmella, Paul and Susan chatting over nibbles as Libby and Steph arrive in the background. Donna is beginning to worry and checks out of the window. Then she announces Elle's here, and orders everyone to hide which they do. Elle comes in with her phone to her ear.
ELLE: You know what Lucas, don't even bother calling back to apologise, we all know you and Miss Libby Kennedy were made for each other. You both lead people on and hedge your bets so I hope that you're really happy together.
This makes Libby and Steph pop their heads out from behind the sofa. Elle comes out from behind some balloons and shouts 'surprise!' As everyone else shouts surprise behind Elle, she's noticed Libby and they stare at each other.
Later, the party is going. Elle corners Donna and asks why she did this. She says she just wanted to get all her friends together, show her how cool they think she is. Elle is annoyed, even though Donna tries to get her to have a good time.
ELLE: How can I chill out? I'm in a room full of people who hate me? God, you must have paid half of them.
From the look on Donna's face, Elle guesses she had to pay someone and asks who. Donna says it was just a couple of people from the paper, the rest wanted to come. She says she's unbelievable. She hears a laugh and turns round to ask Libby if she has something to say. When Libby says nothing, Elle says 'that'll be a first'. Actually, Libby says, she does have something to say.
LIBBY: Where do you get off attacking Donna after everything she's done for you? She's practically the only person in the room who actually likes you.
Carmella says she likes her and Steph tries to calm the situation. The Elle has a go at Steph, and asks Libby if she's only here so she can accidentally run into Lucas. This only angers Libby more as Elle continues to mouth off, Lucas comes in the door. Libby has to be led out by Steph after Elle suggests Lucas was her backup plan in case it didn't work out with brother number one. Lucas we now see has a bunch of flowers. Elle and Donna look like they want the ground to open up and swallow them.
Later, Carmella is talking to Elle who looks distracted. Carmella apologises but Elle says it's OK, people have stopped staring and Carmella goes to get a drink.
Steph and Libby are back and Libby thinks Lucas is staring but doesn't want to give him the satisfaction of leaving. Paul notices Donna is upset and goes to chat with her. She apologises to him saying he was right, it was a bad idea her moving in and now Elle hates her. Paul says when it comes to Elle's 'chosen few' she calms down eventually. He says Donna's in her 'inner circle'.
PAUL: God knows why though. I mean you're loud, you're crass, you've got no inner sensor and trouble follows you wherever you go, but...she likes you.
Erinsborough Hospital

Miranda says they can be patient. Just then Steve's face twitches and he opens his eyes. They call him and Lou goes to get a doctor. They come over and Steve looks at them. Callum appears to be watching some old Western. Toadie comes in and warns him to prepare to defend himself. Callum tells him to go away. Toadie is wearing one of the Bishops' old Pie Hats and a load of toilet rolls. He starts throwing them at Callum. He eventually starts throwing them back at him. Kelly walks in. Toadie orders Callum to his room. They sit down and Toadie takes the gear off.
Kelly clarifies that 'Toadie and Dan' aren't Callum's legal guardians. He's been very unsettled at school and with all the drama over Nicola; she has concerns about Callum's ongoing care, and as his teacher, is legally obliged to report her concerns. Callum has been listening to this. Toadie realises that Kerry wants to report to Human Services and there's a real possibility that they'll take Callum away. Callum looks shocked.
