Charlie's
Dan tries to have a word with Libby but she is in a rush to get home to celebrate Rachel's return. Before she leaves, she wants to know why he didn't tell her about his brother so they sit down and he tells her about the two of them having to fight for everything and that he nearly killed Lucas in a race. Lib is stunned to hear this and asks if it was an accident or not and Dan replies that Lucas doesn't think so and he doesn't know any more but he does wonder if he did try to kill him.
LIBBY: You're not that kind of man.
Garage
As we hear a repeat of Libby & Dan's conversation we see Dan entering a garage and looking at a bike. He inserts the key and starts it up.
Eastside Dingo's gym
Lib ignores another call from Lucas - the 3rd one - as she piles up the kilometres on the exercise bike.
Charlie's
Susan catches up with Paul & Elle to make it clear that she isn't amused at the story he ran about Rachel & Angus.
PAUL: Thanks for the attention but I think you are attacking the wrong guy; it wasn't me who had the affair with Rachel.
SUSAN: Ah no, but you know a lot about having affairs don't you?!
PAUL: Yes and you know a lot about reporting the details don't you. If the shoe fits.
I'd say that was 1-1 now as Susan departs with the bar having failed to find his sense of decency.
Elle has a go at her dad even if he is pleased with the increased circulation figures and remarks that they'll have burning effigies on their front lawn if he keeps this up. She wants him to apologise to Rachel and has to run after her father when he departs in a hurry having thought of something. However, her departure is delayed when she runs into Lucas and spills his beer but hands over a $10 note so he can buy himself a new beer and receives an invitation to join him in return.
Number 24 backyard
Zeke and Ringo watch on from the balcony and time how long Declan and Didge are pashing for - over 5 minutes so far. The two boys talk about their past relationships and admit that neither have had sex.
The pashing is interrupted when Miranda and Steve arrive to talk to Didge and invite her to move home since Steve has moved back home. Cue one happy re-united family.
Number 28
Libby arrives home to find a cooking disaster from Rachel. Ben and Susan appear and Libby tries to her get her mum to hide the paper but Rachel tells them not too - she's already see it and tries to play down the significance of it. While the attention is drawn to Libby hugging Ben (which he's not too chuffed about) after ignoring a call from someone, Rachel quietly picks up Angus' ring and puts it on.
Number 24 backyard
The boy's tease Didge & Declan about the length of time were pashing before making their excuses to leave. Declan invites Didge to stay one more night before going home to her parents so they can take their relationship to the next level but Didge knocks him back for now but promises he'll be the first to know when she changes her mind.
Charlie's
Elle has obviously decided to stay and drink with Lucas but makes it clear that she doesn't do blokes that are hung up over other women.
LUCAS: Maybe I'm not interested in women who are hung up on other men.
ELLE: Ha, ha. You and Libby?!
LUCAS: Mmm. Daniel's my brother
ELLE: (shocked) Wow that makes things pretty interesting.
LUCAS: Yes, that's one word for it.
ELLE: So how does that work? I mean do you draw pistols at dawn or do you take a step back because she saw him first?
He replies that he isn't "much of a step backerer" and goes for something if he wants it.
ELLE: Something or someone?
LUCAS: Either... both.
Elle then tells Lucas it's time for them leave, as long as neither of them tells.
LUCAS: A gentleman never tells.
ELLE: For the record, I'm not interested in gentlemen.
Number 28
Susan has a quiet word with Libby on the doorstep as Libby & Ben get ready to leave. She asks what she is going to do and Libby replies that she doesn't know yet, so Susan offers her help before saying bye.
The kids say night to Susan and Zeke asks his sister if she is home for good, she is, and Rachel confirms to his questions that she isn't going to go after him but she does miss Angus. They both apologise to each other before seeking out each others hand to hold and a teary Rachel dips her head onto her brother's shoulder.
Number 26
Steve returns his belongings into the marital bedroom and they debate who is/isn't to sleep in the camp bed. Didge pops her head in to say night to her parents and that she is glad they worked things out.
STEVE: It will get easier.
MIRANDA: It has to.
Ramsay Street (next day)
As she is putting things into her car, Lib spots Lucas departing from #22 giving Elle a good bye kiss and thanking her for last night.
Lucas' flat
Half naked Lucas answers the door to find an annoyed Libby on his doorstep. He thinks Dan has talked but she tells him about spotting him leaving #22 with Elle and asks if he really cared for her why did he throw it all away? He invites her in but Libby isn't in the mood to discuss things so half naked Lucas (with only a towel wrapped around him) follows her down the corridor past his gawking neighbours. Finally she stops to allow him to talk.
LUCAS: Okay, you're right. I use smooth talk and usually it's easier to walk away but not this time. Nothing happened last night.
LIBBY: And you expect me to believe that?
LUCAS: We talked... about you and Oliver. I'm crazy about you Lib.
He tries to get her to go inside given his exposed state but she rejects the offer, so he asks her to dinner instead but when she stalls giving him an answer, asks if it is Dan?
LUCAS: Look Libby I've told you how I feel. Now you need to make a choice - me or Dan.
Lib keeps quiet so he takes her hands and again invites her to dinner so she can give her answer. And I'm sure watching half naked Lucas toddle back to his flat with just a towel wrapped around him isn't trying to sway things his way!!!
Number 32
To the accompaniment of yet another great piece of music, Lib arrives home and stands and watches Ben for a bit as he draws a picture of the two of them while trying to have his breakfast. He eventually notices her and goes to show her his picture before receiving another hug but he doesn't moan this time.
Number 26
It's happy Parker family time as Miranda & Steve mock interrogate Didge to find out what her timetable for the day is. Declan eventually tells because Steve was threatening to ground her and they depart with the other teens to school when they call by.
The happy atmosphere cools somewhat after Didge leaves when Miranda tells Steve she will work at home to allow him to work in the surgery.
Charlie's
Its Elle this time who is on the warpath with her father over his new article (one on Susan) with the headline being 'Is it any wonder? . She accuses him of running a vendetta against Susan, which he thinks are harsh words.
ELLE: You've only printed stories on her family in the last four front covers.
PAUL: That's because they are newsworthy.
ELLE: No, two days ago they were newsworthy today they're history.
PAUL: Alright. I'm doing this because I hate her. Satisfied?
ELLE: She's going to come in here swinging and you're just waiting for her aren't you?
PAUL: (guiltily) The thought never crossed my mind.
ELLE: (serious) You're unbelievable.
The General Store
Elle spots Dan with a biker's leather jacket and wonders how long he's had a bike for. He replies that it's been in storage for a while but is out now. She leaves him to enjoy his coffee and just then Libby arrives for their chat.
Lib comes straight out with it - she can't be with him. Dan takes it on the chin but asks if it's because of Lucas and what his brother said about him. Libby shakes her head but Dan doesn't believe her because he knows his brother.
LIBBY: This is about Ben. He's far more important than you or your brother.
DAN: I still feel the same way Lib.
LIBBY: (tearing up) I just want a clean start okay. I just want things to be uncomplicated.
DAN: Is this what Lucas promised you?
LIBBY: (stunned) What?
DAN: Don't lie to me.
LIBBY: I'm not lying to you. What happens between me and Lucas is between us, it's none of your business.
DAN: It is my business Lib, I love you.
LIBBY: (stunned) I'm so sorry.
Dan doing the stiff upper lip impression thanks her telling for telling him before leaving the store.
Lucas' flat
Sadly Lucas is fully dressed this time as he sets the table for Libby's arrival... however it isn't Libby who turns up but Dan!
Preview
FVO: Libby and Lucas' new relationship is blossoming.
MVO: But his brother Dan is less than impressed.
LUCAS: (to Dan) Libby chose me over you and you can't handle it.
(The brothers start pushing each other on Lucas' balcony)
MVO: It's on. 6.30 tomorrow.
