Number 22
Rebecca's trying to work out what could be on Paul's mind. She asks if it's do with Richard, but he says no.
PAUL: I've had some memories coming back. Bits and pieces of my old life.
REBECCA: Yes, well we've been through this. We're not going to let the past, yours or mine, come between us.
PAUL: *Bad* memories. One in particular.
REBECCA: How bad?
PAUL: I killed someone.
REBECCA: Oh, don't be silly.
PAUL: No, I hit him and I just left him to die in a fire.
REBECCA: If you'd done something like that you'd be in jail.
PAUL: Yeah, but I got away with it. No one knew. You see, I thought that Elle and Gail knew the worst of what I was, but they don't. Turns out nobody does, not even me! What if I've attacked other people?
Rebecca tries to convince Paul it could just be a false memory, but Paul insists the man he killed was real because it was written about in the papers, he had a family. Thinking back, Paul can also recall seeing the body lying on the ground very clearly. Rebecca wonders why he would remember that and not the birth of his children. Paul says he doesn't know and all the things Rebecca turned to him for like stability isn't something he can offer anymore. There's no future for their relationship.

Adam explains that at times there will be things he can't talk to her about such as hypothetically having information about a friend, relative or a neighbour. Pepper demands to know who this person is, but he doesn't budge.
ADAM: Right now, my biggest problem is I haven't had a cuddle for hours.
PEPPER: Cuddle, you say, for hours? Try days. 22 days, 14 hours and 35 minutes. But who's counting, huh?
