Number 26
Looks like Bree has a babysitting job, looking after Charlie. Janae is getting all dressed up for something and when Sky arrives she is dressed up too, Bree is obviously designated babysitter tonight, as Sky and Janae are heading to the opening of 'Charlie's' though they don't actually know the name yet.
Bree looking as delighted as ever to be landed with the babies for the evening (not) asks Sky if she is still hanging out with Caleb, Sky answers the question with a question, did they never teach them in Erinsborough High that you are not supposed to do that? It's about time that Tom Scully got his act together, some head teacher he is turning out to be. Anyhow grammatical error or not, Sky's answer/question is to ask Bree if she is going to get angry with her too. Bree always the smart one rightly guesses that the other person who has obviously been angry with Sky is Boyd.
SKY: Since Terrence everyone thinks I have this strange fetish for frauds and freaks.
Excuse me Sky, but since Terrence? I could be mean and reel off a list of your past boyfriends/girlfriend, but that wouldn't be very nice, so lets just leave Sky to think that it's since Terrence, we don't want the poor girl getting even more stressed out.
Bree and Sky agree that Terrence was a one off, and Sky thinks that despite what everyone else thinks, she is capable from learning from her mistakes. Again I could start a list to dispute this theory of hers but that would just be mean, and besides I really can't be bothered to make a list, I am only a couple of minutes into the episode.
Janae having found her eyeliner, which it had previously been determined that Bree stole, Janae is ready to go. But in true soap style, you can never actually open the door to head out in a hurry without someone standing on the other side. In this case the said person is none other than Anne aka the real Bree. Now isn't that a big surprise. Bree and Janae rush to hug her.
Charlie's
Steph is checking out a poster that she has had printed for her campaign, A picture of her on her motorbike, with the catchy slogan or not slogan 'No Slogans Just Steph.' Steph looks mournfully at the poster, you may be forgiven for thinking that is because she has added both a full stop and an exclamation mark to the words, but actually it's because she thinks that nobody will vote for her except criminals and alcoholics and misguided youth, but hey Steph cheer up, you're in Erinsborough, most of the electorate are criminals, alcoholics or misguided youths, you are going to walk it.
Steph feels that her only option is to go out to the bar to announce her intention to run for council, despite Toadie's protests. Perhaps Steph is smarter than her poster suggests though, what better way to encourage people to vote for you, than asking them just after you have plied them with free drink and food.
As Steph goes out to the bar she meets Boyd, who is obviously on waiting duty.
BOYD: I should permanently carry around a tray of free champagne, I have never been so popular.
Wow, is that all it would have taken Boyd? Wonders never cease.
Steph also wonders if Boyd is offended that she named the bar after Charlie, after all she assures him that she loves him just as much. Boyd jokingly tells her that he will have a complex for the rest of his life, but it seems that he thinks Charlie's is better than Boyd's.
Susan and Karl are also enjoying their free champagne, though they are fretting about Zeke coping with Tom alone. Karl mournfully points out that Tom probably prefers it if it's just he and 'Karl' as Tom thinks that Zeke is Karl. Karl seems upset that his own father thinks that he is the hired help, but Susan tells him to just try to relax.
When Pepper arrives looking a bit miffed off, it doesn't take her long to admit to her father that she thinks that he was right about Adam, telling Steiger that Adam is just 'One more entry in the Pepper Steiger Hall of Shame.' Steiger assures Pepper that she deserves better, and Pepper says that is what she told Adam, but it certainly looks as though things are getting her down.
Adam's House
Adam is on the phone, whoever he is talking to, he is telling them that he should never have told them about Pepper and that he doesn't deserve happiness, not after what he has done. There is also a well fingered photo of a pretty girl sitting on his table, could this be who he is on the phone to?
ADAM: What am I supposed to do? Phone up her parents and say 'I'm sorry for your loss?'
Something tells me this is not Pepper he is talking about now, it seems that Adam does have a secret that he is keeping, and by the sounds of it, it is definitely one he doesn't want Steiger to know about.
Number 26
Anne admits that her parents don't know that she is in Erinsborough, they think that she is at camp. Bree is amazed that she has come all that way herself.
BREE: You flew from Cairns to Melbourne all by yourself?
ANNE: No, I got a plane, and Loris helped me.
Anne says that Loris has been looking for her, and finally found her last week. It was Loris who paid for everything so that Anne could come and visit and her parents couldn't interfere. Bree and Janae are suspicious, especially since Loris hasn't come with Anne. Sky says that Harold will be disappointed that Loris hasn't come, but Anne says that he will understand. Sky wonders why that might be, but Anne who it seems is backtracking, says that there is no reason other than he really likes her. Sky looks suspicious and mentions that when Loris left, Harold went all weird and he never spoke about her. Janae reckons they had a bust up, but when Bree asks what it might have been about, Anne says that she doesn't know. Bree thinks that Anne does know, and it seems that Sky does too.
Number 30
Steiger and Janelle take Pepper home, but she assures them that she will be OK on her own. When she is closing the door behind them she notices an envelope addressed to her on the mat. Pepper opens the letter to find that it's from Adam.
'Pep,
I never wanted to hurt you, but I have. You won't see me again and you should know why. Before I came to Australia, I did something that makes me unworthy of you. I can't tell you what I did, but please know that I never lied to you and I'm not a criminal. I know happiness will come to you Pepper, you create so much of it.
Adam. '
As Pepper reads the letter in her head, the camera is on Adam who seems to be packing up his stuff to leave in rather a hurry.

Adam's House
As Adam heads to the door, it seems that the curse of trying to leave in a hurry has struck for the second time this episode, as when he opens the door to leave, Pepper is there. Pepper wastes no time in laying into him, telling him that she doesn't think that it is fair that she told him everything about her past, and she gets only a pathetic break-up note in return.
ADAM: Trust me, it's just easier if I leave and you forget I ever existed.
PEPPER: You're not going anywhere without telling me the truth. So what is it that you've done that's so bad Adam?
Adam tells Pepper his big secret, he was a cop. Pepper thinks that this is great as her father will love him. Adam is not finished yet though, he shows Pepper the photo of the pretty girl, and tells her that it was his partner Katherine, his work partner that is. Adam tells Pepper that one night he and Katherine were called out to an Industrial estate one night on an anonymous tip off, but when they got there, there was nothing going on. Adam continues, he left Katherine in the car while he went to investigate the warehouse. He seems very upset as he tells Pepper that he broke the number one rule of policing- Never leave your partner alone. It seems that breaking the rule had disastrous consequences, as before Adam got back to the car, he heard a shot, and Katherine was dead before the ambulance got there. Adam also has to admit that the perpetrator has never been caught. Pepper is sympathetic, she rightly guesses that it was this tragedy that prompted Adam to move to Australia.
ADAM: Then I met you, and I was happy.
PEPPER: Me too.
ADAM: Then I met your father.
PEPPER: Adam, you didn't do anything wrong.
ADAM: I did everything wrong, and if I stay here with you, and your father hounding me, I'll be constantly reminded of it.
Pepper tells Adam that it will get easier, but he says that it's not the case, the more he gets to know Pepper, and the more he falls for her, the more he realises that he shouldn't be happy. Pepper is not willing to give up easily though, but despite her protests, Adam kisses Pepper and apologises, telling her that it's over.
Charlie's
There is lots of dancing at the bar, but the music isn't very loud, so it's surprising that anyone can hear the music to dance to the beat. There is a lovely shot of the Afro man that Carly mentioned yesterday though, and she is right, he has freaky hair.
Karl and Toadie are not partaking in the dancing, they are discussing the situation with Tom. Toadie thinks that Karl is jealous of Zeke's bond with Tom, but Karl insists (rather unconvincingly) that he is not. Toadie tells him that he shouldn't be jealous, as Tom is actually showing how he feels about Karl through Zeke, and that in itself is something.
As Steph emerges from a new corner of the bar, she is flinging on her leather jacket and getting excited because she is about to announce that she is standing for local council. Boyd rightfully questions her choice of attire, but Steph insists it's part of her image. Ask yourself this though voters, would you vote for someone wearing biker gear? Steph stands at the podium and gets everyone's attention. She introduces herself as Steph Scully, which may suggest that with the death of The Scarlet Bar may also come the death of her Hoyland name. Steph gets nervous though, and can't go through with the announcement.
STEPH: I'd just like to announce that I'm standing..... I'm standing..... I'm standing here welcoming you all to Charlie's, thanks for coming have a great night.
With the speech over, Lou can't wait to drag Harold on to the dance floor, and shows us all a few of his moves.
LOU(to Harold): OK then Jelly belly, lets mix it up.
Number 26
Anne and Janelle are hugging, it seems that Janelle has been filling her in on all the bad news, and Anne is a bit tearful. Janelle tries to cheer Anne up by telling her some good news, Steiger asked her to marry him, and she said yes. Janelle would love to know where Loris is, and so it seems would the others, but again Anne is cagey about it, saying that they are making a big deal out of nothing.
As Boyd picks up Charlie, he asks Sky if they can have a word, and they leave.
Janelle gets a few more hugs in with Anne, and tells her that she belongs with them, and they will tell her parents that. She says that she won't be giving her up without a fight.
Charlie's
Steph is scrunching up her poster, and taking her anger out on Toadie, who doesn't feel that he deserves her wrath. Steph begs to differ, she tells Toadie that the fact that he doesn't believe her has knocked her confidence, and she is not keen to accept his apology either. Toadie revokes his apology anyway, telling her that next week they will get the show on the road properly, he knows that she can appeal to a broader audience, than just the criminals, alcoholics and misguided youths, but are there really that many Erinsborough residents who don't fall into one of these categories?
Number 24
Boyd tells Sky, that he wasn't trying to get back with her, he merely wanted to recapture how he felt about himself when they were together. Boyd tells Sky that he was better back then, but she assures him that he is pretty good now. Boyd doesn't seem to agree.
SKY: You're Super Boyd, always coming to the rescue for women, whether they need it or not.
Again Sky seems to have her blinkers on, I would say the way Boyd has generally treated women since finishing with Sky has been anything buy coming to their rescue. Did Sky knock herself on the head with that sugar dispenser at some point?
Sky thinks that Boyd just needs to be needed. Boyd thinks this means that he is selfish.
BOYD: So basically I'm selfish
SKY: No not at all.
(EVERYONE ELSE WATCHING: YES!!!!!!)
Sky tells Boyd, that he has to start putting himself first, (isn't that what he has been doing since his behaviour with Glen?) This selective memory thing really seems to be affecting Sky, it's about time that she went to a doctor about it, though hopefully it won't be Doctor Stone, who knows what she would diagnose, probably a broken leg.
Boyd leaves, and Harold offers to make Sky a cuppa before bed. Harold obviously needs to rehydrate after all the vigorous dancing that he and Lou were doing earlier. Harold is surprised to learn from Sky that Anne is back. Sky thinks that it's strange that Loris didn't come with her, but Harold says that he is sure that she had her reasons. Sky smelling a rat asks Harold if he knows what those reasons might be, she suggests that he and Loris parted on bad terms. Sky says that she will nag Anne until she reveals all, and with this threat, Harold tells Sky that she must keep quiet, Sky thinks that she should know what she is keeping quiet about.
Number 28
Zeke and Tom are in bed by the time Susan and Karl get home. Zeke has left a note though, telling Karl that Grandpa Tom has told him about all the embarrassing things Karl did as a kid, which included polishing and naming his pennies. Susan understandably asks Karl to tell her it isn't true, what a secret to come out of the closet about the man you married. It is true though.
KARL: I stopped after a while, you get too attached to them and you can't take them to the bank.
As Susan reads on, it is also revealed that Karl put on regular concerts for his ant farm, the poor ants being subjected to hours of 'Free As A River' Karl is defensive though, he says that Zeke can't talk because he sings to his worms. Zeke ends the note by saying that he will save the more embarrassing stuff for later.
Karl wonders if it's wrong to use Zeke to relive his childhood, but Susan thinks that Zeke and Tom are both enjoying it as much as him.
When Susan goes to the fridge, she notices that Tom has put the records in there, and looks a bit upset, but doesn't mention it to Karl.
Number 36
Harold has admitted to Sky that it was Loris who swapped Bree and Anne at birth. Harold thinks that Loris has righted her wrong by reuniting Anne with her family. Sky thinks that Janelle still deserves to know that it was Loris, Harold thinks that it would cause too much pain for the family if they knew. Sky reminds Harold that he was adamant that Dylan knew that he was Kerry's father, but Harold doesn't think that it's the same thing. Sky tells Harold that if he cares about Loris, he wouldn't let her live this lie, she tells Harold that the Timmins won't be free until they know what's really going on.
The Garage
Janae is practising her boxing, when Steiger turns out in a bright Green and Yellow tracksuit.
STEIGER: You know what I think about you boxing competitively.
JANAE: About as much as I think of that tracksuit.
STEIGER: Well your mother picked it out.
JANAE: It shows.
Steiger says that although he doesn't approve, he thinks that she needs some help with the training, and agrees to be her sparring partner. Janae asks him if he thinks he can handle it, but he reminds her that if he can handle her mother he can handle anything.
Steiger can't seem to keep up with Janae, and he wonders how Ned keeps up with her. Janae tells Steiger not to mention Ned to her, since he became a father he has gone all soft. Steiger, like the rest of the audience can see right through Janae, he can see her grinning from ear to ear at the mention of Ned. He sings 'Janae and Neddy sitting in a tree' but Janae tells him to shut up, and when he dares to mention 'K.I.S.S.I.N.G' she really lays into him with her punches.
A Bus Stop Somewhere
Pepper spies Adam waiting for a bus, and chases after him, trying to stop him leaving. Pepper tells Adam that she doesn't want him to leave, she doesn't judge him for his past, she only wants to help him.
PEPPER: If you really cared about me you wouldn't leave.
Adam says nothing, he places a kiss on Pepper's cheek and gets on the bus, leaving a heart-broken Pepper watching it drive away. Conveniently Steiger is there to see this, and Pepper tells him that it's his fault that Adam has left, because he couldn't shut the hell up. Steiger insists that he was looking out for Pepper, but she storms off without another word.
Number 26
Janelle has made slightly deformed pancakes for Anne and Bree, and she is excited about spending time with her girls.
There is a knock on the door, and it turns out to be Greg Baxter, Anne's father. In the kitchen Bree realises that the man at the door is actually her father, and as Janelle invites him in for a seat, poor Bree doesn't know where to look.
