Recap
Sky trying to tell Dylan that she has something important to tell him but collapsing before she can.
Rachel inviting herself to go camping with Stinger in place of Dylan.
Karl warning Sky that she could lose her baby if she doesn't tell Dylan the truth.
Scarlet Bar
Loris and Janelle have had a great time bonding today, so much so that Janelle has decided to let Loris move into No. 26 on a month trial and they celebrate by having a glass of bubbly. They finish their drinks and Janelle goes to the bar to get some refills and notices that her boys are missing which she thinks is strange given that they are both supposed to be working. Loris wonders if they've gone camping but Janelle replies that is tomorrow and Janelle's instincts tell her something is wrong.
Hospital
Lou and Harold joke with Sky that she has stopped eating to get out of getting married! She decides to send them home for the night and when they leave, Dylan tells her that she can finish what she was going to say earlier before she fainted. Sky is looking very worried and then Dylan tells her he knows what she wanted to say - that she's had enough of him and doesn't want to marry him. She quickly tells him that she loves him so much and that she does want to marry him, which is confusing the hell of Dylan. It looks like she is about to tell him when she blacks out again and Dylan rushes off to get a nurse.
Bush
Stinger and Rachel lie in their sleeping bags with a blazing fire nearby, talking about their first kisses. He tells her that his first kiss came when he was 12 because it was either kiss a girl or play sport! Rachel is a bit embarrassed to say who her's was because it was Stinger and he replies that she was just waiting for the perfect man! Stinger also says that he hasn't thought about alcohol all night and that it feels good not to.
Hospital
The nurse leaves after tending to Sky and Dylan tells her that she can wait before feeling better until telling him but Sky replies that she won't feel better until she does tell which freaks Dylan out.
SKY: Dyl, please know that everything I did was because I love you so much and because I couldn't bear to lose you. I've been lying to you, which is what's making me sick which doesn't matter but it's now affecting the baby, which does. (pause) You're not the father of the baby.
Commercial break over, Sky tells Dylan that she's know from the first ultrasound that he wasn't the father but couldn't tell him because she wanted the baby to have him as the father.
I thought Dylan was taking the news very well but he storms out when Sky says that the baby is a part of what they have, and he corrects her and says "we had". In the corridor he passes Janelle and Loris, who have obviously just heard that Sky is in hospital and want to know how Sky and bubs are doing but he tells them that they are nothing to do with bubs anymore and orders them into the car because they are leaving right now. Loris goes to follow Dylan but Janelle goes into Sky's room and finds Sky very upset and not wanting to talk.
No. 24
As they start their meal, Lou comments to Harold that Sky will love what he's just cooked and Harold adds that Sky will eat it even if it means him spoon feeding her! As they are talking about Lou's hypnotherapy session, we hear a car screeching in the background and Harold makes a comment that the driver should remember it is a residential neighbourhood before telling Lou that he can't go leading Janelle on. Lou denies this but Harold thinks otherwise but their chat is interrupted by a knock at the door.
Lou answers the door to and Janelle immediately rushes in and hugs him before saying that there is something weird going on down at the hospital. The mention of hospital has got Harold's ears interested, so he joins them at the door and asks if Sky is alright. Loris replies that it doesn't appear to be a medical problem and Janelle adds that it seems to be between Dylan and Sky...something real bad. Lou wonders if they've just had a blue but Janelle says it looks more than that and Loris adds that Dylan dumped them at home before taking off. Lou decides to help Janelle look for Dylan and Loris asks if she can accompany Harold to the hospital as he is off to see Sky.
Hospital
Susan apologises to Sky (presumably for making her tell Dylan the truth) but Sky informs her that she hasn't told Dylan the full story - that it is his brother who is the daddy. Susan seems shocked by this and she thinks that Stinger may turn against Sky too but she is insistent that they think that the daddy is a random stranger, so that they still have each other and that the baby can make do with her.
Harold and Loris arrive and he asks if everything is alright and Sky asks Susan to leave the room, which Susan doesn't mind and offers to shout Loris to a coffee so that Sky can chat to her grandfather. Once the ladies leave the room, Sky tells Harold to take a seat.
Outside
Janelle and Lou have a coffee, deadbeat after driving round half the night looking for Dylan. As they finish their coffee, Janelle asks if they can leave the conversation they need to have until later, which Lou agrees to before starting the engine.
Bush/Outside
As Cindy Ryan's 'No gun' starts, Rachel is still sound asleep while Stinger is up early and is gathering wood for the fire when he comes across a bottle of alcohol. In a street somewhere, Dylan sits in his car remembering through flashbacks of him proposing to Sky before he gets angry. Back at the campsite, Rachel comes to and reaches over to Stinger's bag but he isn't in it and the camera cuts to him looking at the bottle on the ground. We then have more flashbacks to Dylan and Sky happy together with him kissing the bump and her before we go back to Stinger as he picks up the bottle of alcohol. We then cut to Lou and Janelle finally finding Dylan but just as Janelle gets out of the car to go talk to him, he takes off. It looks like temptation is getting the better of Stinger as he opens the bottle and sniffs it, before we cut to the commercial break.
I have to say, that those scenes were brilliant done simply with the song playing and is one of those times where pictures work better than words.
It's back to the bush and Stinger has the bottle in his hands when Rachel walks towards him but stops and watches as he pours the alcohol away. She smiles before going over to him and just as Stinger is about to say something about the bottle, she tells him that she is proud of him.
Hospital
Harold lets off some steam at Lou over what Sky had done but then says that he blames himself because he has failed Sky in his duties as her guardian. Lou tells him not to do this and Harold backs up what he said by saying that Sky had principles when she turned up at his doorstep and Lou responds by saying that she's just proven that she still has them.
HAROLD: Better late than never isn't good enough for me.
Dylan storms into the hospital and wants to go and see Sky but Karl stops him until he calms down and tries to say to him that he's been in his shoes too.
DYLAN: I'm not you and Sky's not Izzy.
Dylan then goes into the room and stands at the bottom of her bed. She takes off the engagement ring and tries to present it to him but is taken aback when Dylan asks if she still loves him and if she still wants to be with him, she does for both, so he asks her to prove it and Sky asks him to name it.
DYLAN: Put the baby up for adoption.
Sky is absolutely stunned by what he has just said and asks if he means it, he does and then tells her it is her choice - him or the baby before he leaves the room.
Bush
Stinger cooks breakfast for the two of them and Rachel asks what made him not drink the bottle of alcohol earlier. He says her, even though he didn't notice her watching him, because he saw she had a smile on her face sleeping in the tent and didn't want to be the one to wipe the smile even if he desperately wanted the drink. He then says that she must be his guardian angel and Rachel hugs him.
No. 28
While prepping up the meal, Susan plucks up the courage to ask Karl if Izzy had been honest over the parentage of the baby would they still have been together (she's been thinking about it given what Sky is now going through). Karl kind of blabs an answer but really avoids answering it and after she prompts him he finally says that perhaps they would have but he's glad that he isn't because he found her again and thankfully she let him back into her life.
No. 26
Loris gives Dylan what for over what he said to Sky and asks if he meant it and he replies that he did mean it, so Loris tells him that he should be deeply ashamed of himself. Dylan adds that he doesn't want Sky back, that he just said it to get to her - charming! - but doesn't want to talk about it anymore.
LORIS: Stop wearing a hole in the carpet and listen to some sense. You went out with Elle when you broke up with Sky didn't you? So can you accept that Sky was also with someone else and that someone ended up being the father of her baby?
She then mentions his pet nickname which he takes exception to her using before agreeing with what she has just said.
LORIS: Do you believe that Sky thought you were the father in the beginning?
DYLAN: (after a brief pause) I guess.
JANELLE: What the hell difference does it make? I mean it's not like she tried to put things right when she found out.
LORIS: The poor girl was in love Janelle. Remember that Janelle, love. She was afraid she was going to loose everything. In the end she sacrificed her own happiness because she had to tell the truth. She's not the villain here. She's a brave girl who made a big mistake, who hasn't? No wonder you are in love with her.
Dylan then asks her how can he pretend to care for a kid that isn't his and Loris tells him that she can't believe she is hearing this and reminds them about Bree but he tries to say that this is different.
LORIS: Oh smish, if you love Sky as much as you say you do then it shouldn't be an issue. That baby is part of her that should be enough to make you care for it.
Way to go Loris! She certainly didn't mince her words there.
Hospital
From her room, Sky can see that Harold is approaching and gets back into the bed not exactly enthralled about what she thinks he is going to say. When he enters the room, she tells him that he doesn't need to lecture her and that she'll make other accommodation arrangements too since he'll probably not want her there. Harold asks what they are and Sky replies that she is going to go to the farm with Toby and Joe, so he asks if Stinger doesn't have the right to be near his own child when it is growing up. She pleads with him not to repeat the fact that Stinger is the daddy because it will destroy the brother's relationship and both can forget they knew her when she leaves town.
HAROLD: I'm beginning to wonder if I ever knew you.
Sky then repeats that she knows what is best for the brothers but Harold disagrees with her totally.
HAROLD: Scott and Dylan deserve the truth. Your child deserves to know its own father. Now I don't care how painful that might be in the short-term but that's the way things should be. What kind of a mother are you content to teach your child that a half-truth is enough?
Harold then decides he's had enough and leaves the room as we head to the last commercial break.
Break over and Sky wakes up and realises that there is someone in the room with her - Dylan is. She tells him that she can't give the child up for adoption and he nods back at her that he knows and that he shouldn't have said it. Dylan tells her that he isn't sure if he can ever forgive her given how he is feeling right now but perhaps one day he can. He now gets out of the chair and sits on the bed and tells her that if there will never be anymore lies then he'll forget that some stranger is the baby's father.
SKY: Dylan, I would give the whole world to say yes but I can't.
DYLAN: Why not?
SKY: Because the father of my baby isn't a stranger, we both know him.
