Boyd watching Steph's message to Charlie.
Steph gives Katya the low-down on the Ramsay Street residents when Katya comments that she's just realised how much a close nit community they are and how well they all seem to get on with each other. They then bond over their similar tomboy upbringings.
STEPH: The original Daddy's girl.
KATYA: (patting Steph's bump) Well it's time to start acting the responsible mum now.

Stinger gets the silent treatment from Rachel when he calls into see Lou and Harold. Connor replies that they are taking a break not scheduled for this eppy before enquiring why he isn't at Lucinda's supporting Dylan. Connor says that they have enough money and would rather give his dosh to TGS... and so buys a bag of peanuts! Last of the big spenders!
Boyd comes into see Steph and Katya leaves them to it. She asks if the tape is safely stored and Boyd begins to break down when he tells her that he watched the tape and that she is preparing to die. Steph assures him that it is just a precaution before firmly telling him that the cancer isn't going to beat her.

Katya enters and finds Rachel and says that she isn't trying to manipulate Zeke but is glad he wants to live with her. Rachel still isn't pleased and accuses Katya of using emotional blackmail to get Zeke to live with her before telling her that she'd better get used to the fact that they are both staying with Susan.
Stinger is trying to get some random extras pretending to be his Uni buddies interested in the peanuts he bought from TGS but gives up and goes to chat with Boyd instead. Boyd is busy trying to do a stocktake that he promised Max he'd do but Stinger mentions that if he keeps going at this rate he'll be the first in his year to get an ulcer. Boyd assures him it is only for a few more weeks...hopefully. They then observe that the random extras are now talking amongst each other unlike when Stinger was sat there and he sadly says they are laughing at him not with him because they don't seem to know the same films (randoms are into European while he is into American ones). Boyd sympathises with him and points out that Sky should be an example to him the way she has adjusted and coped being at Uni.

Toadie is on the phone to Rod (his new PI because Connor turned the job down) and is very interested in whatever info Rod seems to have found out about Katya and asks him to email it. Connor has been listening and comments that the new PI has obviously found something Toadie would rather not have been found out and Toadie gets all narky with him over it.
Hospital waiting area
Susan brings Oscar a drink as Katya passes to tell Lyn that she can go in and see Steph now. Susan and Lyn chat about her and Lyn comments that she's been really good with Steph. Susan replies that is the mysterious part - she seems okay with the patients but not with her. Their chat is interrupted when Karl comes over to tell Lyn he is going to give Steph an update on her condition. Lyn twigs that it isn't good news and invites Susan in to here the news.
Karl enters quickly followed by Lyn, Oscar and Susan and tells Steph the news - the lump has grown bigger. Steph thinks the treatment she gets once bubs is born will help.
KARL: That depends on when bubs is born. If you insist on waiting another week it (pause). Steph we're running out of time. Now you know the situation, we have to attack this cancer fast otherwise you'll be facing a mastectomy.
KARL: The lump is growing too fast. In a matter of days, this is days not weeks, we'll have no choice - we'll have to operate to save your life.
Rachel arrives home and asks Zeke if Susan is at the hospital and he eventually nods to say yes. Rachel then says they should be cooking supper to give her a night off. She then in a subtle way goes on to tell Zeke that Susan is a giving and compassionate person just like their dad. 'I know' Zeke's card says and Rachel than wants to know why he's taking Katya's side and wanting to live with her instead of staying with Susan as Alex wanted. 'She's changed' says the new card and Rachel asks back if he can remember what she was like before. He doesn't reply to that but instead writes 'she's family' and Rachel reminds him that so is Susan. Zeke then goes to write another card but she takes him from him and rips it up.
RACHEL: (shouting) You can stop writing. Your stupid notes and cards are driving everyone mental. If you can find something to say then open your idiot mouth and say it. It's not like you can't, you talk to Katya all the time. Go on say something.
Zeke doesn't say anything, so Rachel walks away leaving Zeke looking upset.
Steph is telling Boyd that Oscar got upset even though he really doesn't know what is going on and that Susan and Lyn have taken him for a walk. Boyd tries to reassure her and Steph finally admits that she needs Max and wants Boyd to try and get him to come home. Boyd gets straight on the phone to try and contact Max.
The random students leave as quietly as Connor and Toadie arrive in the bar. Stinger tries to deny that he's been shafted but Toadie tells him that he should open up more to his fellow students and not hide behind the gags he would normally use.
Steph cheers up immensely as she talks to Max on the phone. She hangs up to tell Boyd and Lyn that Max is on standby for the first flight out of Fiji but can't be sure when he'll get on a plane. Steph also has a smile on her face when she tells them that Summer is improving too. Lyn asks Steph is she wants to talk to a counsellor but Steph knocks back that idea because she's done enough talking and wants to watch sport on the TV instead! Boyd leaves to go find a TV and even Lyn comments that it is months since she's seen Steph look this happy.
Toadie runs into Katya and she knocks back his offer to chat, but instead suggests beer and a game of pool. While Katya sets up the table he heads to the bar to get the beer and Connor tells him that he is being two-faced for playing having fun with her while his PI is out digging dirt up on her.

Rachel comes into the store and Stinger invites her to join him. He goes to ask her how things are at home but after she says "no better" he stops her before she can say anything else. She then apologises for kissing him and Stinger agrees to just hang out together and Rachel seems happy with this.
Lyn, Oscar, Susan, Karl, Boyd and Steph are watching the footy barracking away when Zeke enters the room. Susan wants to know if everything is alright and he goes up and shows her a card with 'can I be with you' written on it. Susan asks if he came to the hospital to spend some time with her and he hands her a card with 'I missed you' written on it. She tells him that she missed him too and invites him to join the masses watching the game. Susan leaves to get some more food as the rest either celebrate or commiserate with the result of the game they've just watched.
Karl then says he needs to go see other patients and is surprised to see Susan in the corridor. He comments that she looks run down and that she has taken too much on and suggests she goes home to take a hot bath before having a good sleep. Susan replies that she will take up his suggestion.
Boyd and Lyn leave Steph's room and Boyd confesses to her that seeing how Steph was tonight has just brought it home how ill she really is. He then wonders if Steph has left the treatment too late and Lyn reassures him that they aren't going to lose Steph. "We might" says Boyd and Lyn reminds him that he doesn't have to go through this alone - she is there for him and Max is on the way home too and they will get through this together.

Connor catches Toadie sitting on the steps going through the report on Katya blackening bits out. Connor accuses him of betraying them both which Toadie doesn't like hearing. Once Connor stops having a go at him, Toadie explains what he was really doing - crossing out parts of the report that would be inadmissible in court before adding there are also parts that Rachel and Zeke shouldn't know about their big sister.
Susan comes across Stinger setting up a pile of junk that he intends to jump over. She comments that it looks dangerous.
From the inside, Rachel watches Stinger as he prepares for the jump. When she notices Zeke approaching she quickly closes the blinds and tells him he'll have to get his own breakfast as she is going to hang out with Stingray. Zeke stops her from leaving to show her a card saying 'Katya' from the box and Rachel replies that Katya doesn't like Stingray but she couldn't care if he blabs to her about it or not before leaving.
Susan thanks Rachel for the meal she made and hugs her before entering the house. Rachel makes her way over to Stingray and he explains that the assembled junk is part of his next film - a 3 minute movie on him skateboarding over the junk. Rachel volunteers to help him film it and he seems pleased at the offer of help.
Katya stops Toadie as he leaves someone's room to talk. She tells him what the director of nursing has told her - that someone has been making inquiries into her. Katya suddenly twigs that it was him and when he half confirms that he was responsible, starts having a go at him. Toadie uses his get out clause and replies that it is standard procedure when dealing with the family court. Katya replies that he only needed to be upfront and ask her and she would have told him anything he wanted to know.
TOADIE: You would have told me everything?
KATYA: Of course.
KATYA: Why? What have you found out?
She then begs Toadie not to say anything to Rachel and Zeke because they wouldn't speak to her again but he doesn't reply.
Susan is about to ask Toadie what he wanted to see her about when Stinger and Rachel interrupt them doing his movie. After reminding Rachel not to be late for school they leave and Toadie hands her the background report on Katya. Susan isn't impressed to see big parts of it blacked out and wants an explanation. Toadie repeats what he told Connor - that it is inadmissible in court but that doesn't wash with Susan and she wants to know what it said. He fobs her off by again saying she doesn't need to know the info if it can't be used in court.
Stinger escorts Rachel home before he leaves to edit the film, promising to be back later to show her the final version. She then walks into the house to be met with Zeke handing her a note (we don't see what is said)and tells him that she doesn't want to fight instead asking what good being separated from Susan is going to do. He then goes to get anther card from his box but she stops him and tells him to speak instead. Zeke shakes his head and as she plugs in the toastie machine, tells him that if he wants to communicate with her then he's got to talk like a normal person.
As she continues having a go at him, Rachel opens the machine and touches the metal plate and gets an electric shock. Rachel is flung backwards against the oven before landing on the floor unconscious.
Zeke tries to rouse her but Rachel is still out cold. He reaches up for the phone and dials the emergency services. On the other end of the phone the operator asks him which service he requires. Zeke doesn't want to/can't say so the operator repeats the question again as the episode ends.
