Ramsay Street
Kim is fixing a loose lead in the Van so it will start. Janelle goes to comfort Janae, but Bree bounds out with a Caramello Koala for her. Mmmm. I think we have some of them in the cupboard...*readers listen to crickets* *summariser wipes chocolate from mouth* Mmmm. Anyhoo...Boydie kicks the engine over and the car starts! Janae and Boyd are given the privilege of riding with Kim, while Janelle packs the other kids into the 'stupid car'.

Steph's Padded Cell
Karl informs Lyn and Steph that the tests showed her fever was viral. Steph says she said that from the start. Karl reminds her this doesn't mean the cancer is inactive, and she shouldn't ignore the symptoms, especially in the absence of treatment. Steph says she doesn't *have* any symptoms - she's dealt with it before, she knows what it's like. She's fine, and she'd be even better if she wasn't STUCK in this PLACE! Karl says the Psych doctors are conferring right now, and they'll know what's happening this afternoon. In the meantime, is there anything else she wants?

STEPH: Yeah, you can tell Nurse RATCHET to bring my toiletries bag back!

Hospital Corridor
Max is sitting outside, and Karl tells him Steph's temperature was viral, and Max apologises for lashing out yesterday. Max asks if Karl can blame him for thinking the fever was from the cancer? Karl says he could have listened to her, but Max says he thought she was in denial. He wishes he could tell her how sorry he is, but Karl says she is waiting on the assessment results. Max gets the message - butt out.

Team Timmins + Boyd come around the corner, and Karl tells them he is just going to pathology to get the results. Janae can take anyone she wants in the room with her. She asks Kim to go with her and Boyd...and Janelle, but Janelle says she will stay and keep an eye on the others.

Steph's Padded Cell
Steph is furious to find the evil nurses have taken her mouthwash.

STEPH: What, do they think I'm gonna GARGLE myself to death or something?

Lyn thinks there are more important things to worry about. Steph can't see anything, but Lyn says after everything that has gone on, can't she consider treatment again? Start looking out for herself and the baby - Charlie's going to need a mother... Steph says she wants to see him grow up. She knows the chemo has to happen, but she wants to hold off while she still can. She's spoken to some of the midwives, and she can have Charlie safely delivered by C-Section at 36 weeks, and then start chemo. Lyn says what if it is too late? She can have a C-Section way before that!

STEPH: No! No - I'm not going to have my baby spend his first few weeks, or months, or WHATEVER hooked up to a machine. I'm gonna do this MY way, right?

Corridor
Janelle says it is a shame Stinger never got his software, but he says he can do a rough edit, and has learnt heaps from the movie anyway. He doesn't need the competition. Janelle has a squiz at the Romance novel Bree found under the magazines. It's by Nora Roberts, and Janelle wonders if they can pinch any for her book. Max comes up and Janelle says he took his time. Max is like 'wha?' Karl goes into the room, and tells Janae she is fine! All the tests are negative! Janae and Boyd hu8g as Max comes in the room. He's like 'wha?'...Boyd says everything is fine.

Hospital
Janelle calls for a celebration, and Boyd asks Max to go for a coffee. Kim hangs back to talk to Karl. He thanks him, but then changes the topic - he WILL find out what happened that night...and if he doesn't like what he hears...*thumps fist against hand*

General Store
Stinger is filming Janae and Bree fighting over food, before Janae stuffs some cake in Bree's mouth and thanks her for being a good sister. She's glad she blabbed to Kim. Bree says it could have been worse - she could have told their Mum! Kim tells Janelle they are joking - Janelle just gets the feeling Janae is pushing her away. Kim says to love her like she always does and everything will be sorted. He puts the hot choccies on the table, and as Janelle sits down, Janae kisses her on the cheek.

Lassiters Lake
Boyd tells max how he has felt about these tests, and Max apologises for not being there. Boyd says he is a big boy now, it's fine. Max says he could have done with the distraction; it might have stopped him being so rash with Steph. Boyd says he did it because he loves her, but Max says it isn't an excuse. He tells Boyd she still doesn't want to see him, but he is going to do everything he can to win her back. Boyd hopes it is enough. Max does too. Ditto from me. Ditto, too, from the rest of the WM&MH gals.

General Store
Janae has an important announcement to make. After everything this week, she's decided she is going to dedicate her life to helping others. She's going to be a nurse! The Timmins' crack up laughing. Janae has it all sorted, but Bree and Stinger think she's lost it. Kim calls for more hot chocolate. Stinger says this proves his point - happiness comes in many different forms - Janae is currently 'deluded'. Kim feels bad he is still short of the software, but Stingray says it's ok - he just wants to concentrate on getting into film school.

Scarlet Bar
Max ignores Kim's call to someone about money, as he sits down with Lyn. Steph ahs got the all clear, and is being released tomorrow. AND she's talking about treatment. Max's lil' face lights up like a Chrissie tree, but crumples when Lyn says it is more of a compromise - she'll wait till 36 weeks then have a C-section. Max says she could be dying by then, but Lyn says at least it is something, she's willing to fight. Max points out she'll be fighting alone. He knows she has her but....Lyn says she understands why Max did what he did. And she is doing her best to talk to Steph about it. But she just wants to be alone right now...away from everyone...including Max. A random extra gets a text message in the background. Way to make Max feel like *everyone* is more loved than him right now. Pah.

General Store
Janelle and Karl bump into each other and Karl tells her about his encounter with Kim. Janelle wants to know what he told Kim but Karl says he doesn't actually remember what they *did*. Janelle admits she doesn't either. They remember being at the Bar...then getting a cab...and then back to his flat! Janelle remembers it was a mess...and they opened some fancy scotch...

JANELLE: You played crap music!
KARL: I did not!
JANELLE: Yeah. You did.

Karl seems to remember waking up with lippy on his face and shirt...Janelle sighs that it doesn't look good...

General Store
Janelle and Karl discuss what would happen if anyone found out.

JANELLE: Everyone knows you like a bit on the side, you probably had your eye on me for ages!
KARL: Hang on a minute, I have standards you know!
JANELLE: What's that supposed to mean?
KARL: You can take it anyway you like!
JANELLE: You'd be damn lucky to pull a yummy mummy like me!
KARL: A what mummy?
JANELLE: Are you saying I'm not hot enough for you?

They go to walk away from each other, but then Janelle has an idea...what if they 'remember' what happened *taps nose* they 'remember' that nothing happened at all! Then they lock away their 'secret', and take it to their graves!

*flash back to Janelle and Karl, passed out snoring on the lounge*

Number 26
Janae comes running up to Janelle, and apologises for everything she said last night. Janelle says it is true she has set them rotten examples. She should have taught her that creeps like Mike Pill aren't worth the time of day...'poor bloke' she laments. Janelle says Janae has so much going for her, and she has the love of everyone around her - and their respect too. She has Boyd. And she deserves him. She also has the unconditional love of her mother - she doesn't judge her, not for anything.

JANELLE: I love you Janae.

Aww. They hug.

Ramsay Street
The Combi roars off around the corner. Kim tells Bree and Janae it has gone in for repairs, and they'll have to walk. Janae doesn't mind the exercise - it will do her good now she's decided to join the soccer team. The girls leave for school, and Stingray comes out. Kim also tells him the Combi has gone for repairs, then passes Stingray some money for the editing software. Stinger can see through it - he sold the van. It was on its last legs, and the money will be going to something worthwhile - Scotty's future. Stingray hugs his dad.

Steph's Padded Cell
Steph and Lyn are packing her things.

STEPH: Well, I can't say it's been a pleasant stay.

Karl apologises for her being put through it all, but says he knew what the outcome would be, but not to forget she has an appointment next week.

STEPH: Oh goody.

Karl says if she shows any symptoms to report them straight away...and she can start treatment anytime. Steph stinks up the stink-eye (/Carly-erism) and Karl grins that it was worth a try. Karl leaves and Steph wants to get out ASAP. Lyn wants to talk about where she is going to stay when they get back from the health retreat.

LYN: Max. He's worried sick about you. And he's the father of your child.
STEPH: Well I don't give a damn what he is, I can't even look at him.
LYN: Well, if you did, you would see a heartbroken man who is consumed with guilt - he knows what he did was wrong!
STEPH: Wrong! Oh mum...
LYN: One mistake!
STEPH: No, no - he made the biggest mistake of his life!
LYN: That man worships the ground you walk on.
STEPH: Oh come on, that's a load of C.RAP! He doesn't respect me! He's the one who put me...
LYN: And you know something else? You wouldn't be this angry if you weren't still in love with him...

Ramsay Street
Janelle says to Kim that she bumped into Karl last night, and they worked out what happened - nothing! Honk Honk! That was a taxi pulling up. Anyway, Kim says he loves her, and rides off.

JANELLE: Say it again!
KIM: I LOVE YOU JANELLE BERYL TIMMINS!

Steph, Ozzie and Lyn come down the stairs with their suitcases. Janelle says she has everything covered, and gives Lynnie a peck on the cheek.

JANELLE: Feed the plants, water the dog, and don't eat the bird!!

Steph laughs, and Janelle tells her to have a good restful trip, and come back fighting fit. Steph says that's the plan, and hugs her goodbye, as Max comes across the street. Steph totally ignores him. He says he knows she doesn't want to listen to him, but can she take this letter and read it. She storms past him, so Lyn tales the letter and says she will take care of it. Max follows Steph around to the taxi door, as she gets in.

MAX: I don't suppose it's possible I could explain in person?
STEPH: Don't please.

She slams the car door and the taxi drives off, leaving a stunned Max behind.
