Recap
- Paul suggesting Cameron comes to visit, and Izzy's reluctance
- Harold suggesting Connor go to the Salvos
House of Trouser Backyard BBQ
The fellas plus Elle wait around in hope Connor with turn up. Boyd and Janae join the par-tay and both are worried about Stingray when they saw him in jail. Gino runs in at an almost hysterical manner - it's off, apparently. His musical with the fake lava, and volcano have just been rejected. Aww, nevermind he can write a brand new one. Toadie suggests he base it on Ned - country boy come into the city. Gino LOVES the idea, and starts envisioning possible plot lines. Ned tries to change his mind as he's taking no part in a musical about him but Gino simply yells out rehearsals will begin next week as he leaves.
Harold's
Sky calls out they should leave for the BBQ but is surprised when witnessing Connor practising his spitting...into Harold's tuba piece. He likes it, but think it may be awhile before he joins the Salvo Band. She thinks it's good he is looking out for her grandad, though Connor believes it's really the other way. Actually, there was one favour Sky wanted from Connor...

Izzy finishes up her order when Paul greets her. He was talking to Janelle, and it seems the deal with Roo has fallen through. She thinks it'll be alright as Paul will come out with something - perhaps he could bribe the appeal's judge? Haha, good one. Well at least he has Cameron's visit to look forward too. Oh that, Izzy wonders if it's going to be long term? It is just she can't handle playing stepmum, look how it turned out with Elle at first. What is Paul to do then? Turn him away?
Harold's
Sky was hoping Connor could convince her grandad to slow down a bit but Connor doesn't see the need. It's great, and not everyone deals with grief the same way. Doing something is useful, he doesn't believe Harold needs the change. Not to turn one's back on God now...yeah...speak of the devil, it's Harry at the door. Sky asks if Connor could have the afternoon off for the BBQ, but Harold insists they need all the help they can get. With a "cheerio" they are both off on their merry way.
HoT
Gino frames Ned as the sweet innocent boy in this dog-eat-dog world. He sees it as..."Okalahoma" meets "Cabaret"! The boys have their own digs at possible suggestions - "Nedward Scissorhands", "The Phantom of Neddie" Hil-arious.
ELLE: Hey! Why don't you make the main character an insensitive so-called mate that tries to thwart Ned's dreams.
TOADIE: Yeah or, maybe Ned lives next door to a daddy's girl with a shocking princess complex.
No no...Gino envisions Ned as the sad loner with an unrequited love. Ned puts his foot down, because he will NOT have a part of this. SIGH. Gino asks for a private moment, and once alone spills a big secret. He admits his real name is "Ray Murphey", and he grew up in a country down too. But it wasn't easy for him to grow up with bigger dreams, as they don't just come true - you have to make them! Simply put, Ned needs to believe in himself or otherwise he'll be some other anonymous in the big city. Ned ponders for moment...but a musical all about him? Scared of the attention are we? Gino promises to make it work, and Ned finally agrees. BUT, on the condition of no more frilly shirts, and more rock 'n' roll baby.

Janae is looking at pictures of the beach and suggest they go on another road trip. Who knows, they could take the combi...nope, no way is Boyd gonna sleep in that after what he "witnessed". He thought she was going to the 'Year 10 Break-Up Party' and she laughs, no way. She'd prefer this "high romance mini break".
Karl comes in and Boyd quickly approaches, asking if he is really looking for a part-time receptionist. Unfortunately while he wishes he wasn't, he is. Ahh, cause Boyd was thinking of applying as it'd be good for a potential medical student 'ey? No worries, he'll drop his CV later. Once he's back at the table, Janae pounces - What is HE DOING? If he works there, she won't be able to visit and in a non-whispering voice says 'cause of Karl'.
HoT
Gino knows the musical will be a total monster hit! Woot, he'll go to get working on it. Sky arrives to tell Toadie that Connor is doing another Salvo Round. Oh. Though Toadie muses it's a good thing to help out other. Oooh! That is it! He runs out.
Elle is glad she could come, but Sky apologises as she's not staying. Elle and Ned both say they're sorry for what happened, and are also sorry for not saying anything before as it was difficult. Sky says it's okay, and Elle hopes they can still hang out. Maybe they can work on Gino's musical? Unfortunately Sky has to say no, they can't be friends. Not after her dad is responsible for killing half her family.
Park
The Salvos hand out food, and Connor leaves to get more supplies from the van. This is where Toadie leaps out aka. The Lawman and starts to wrestle around with Connor. Cue the wrestling music. Oh dear. Connor puts a stop to this, he doesn't want to play. No mate, he should lighten up, and what is he wearing?! (oh you know, only DAVID'S CLOTHES) Toadie just wants him back, but Connor can't. While he and Stu have important careers, and money all he does is breeze through life cracking jokes and drinking. Is more than that here, where he's needed. He grabs the bread basket and leaves.
House of Trouser
Ned comforts Elle but she understands where Sky is coming from. They get a bit closer, touching noses even but before they can wrestle their tonsils together, he freaks out. Is she imagining things? Isn't something happening? Ned agrees...they have a friendship.

How will Janae deal with the Karl problem? Ignore him, as she's been doing so far. SIGH. Alright, she'll talk to him like a grown up...as soon as she's done with her milkshake.
At the counter, Lou asks Karl if he'd have a word to Harold...he's been acting odd lately. He agrees, though people do deal with grief differently.
Boyd says Karl is a good guy, he'll be alright about it. SIGH. Listen! She's not some dumb kid to push around.
Scarlet Bar Office
Paul has figured out Izzy's GST problem, but it's alright as the software will work it out. She grins, he's the "Accounts Payable Hero" - he says to quit it. Sincerity was never her strong suit...no, she means it when she says that. Alright, does she love him? Yes? No? No...she just has to be sure. Elle suddenly interuppts (prompting Izzy to make a haste exit) and blurts out Paul is ruining her life.
Scarlet Bar Office
Sky hates her because she hates him. Life sucks. She admits she is just so lonely and unhappy. If Cameron doesn't get here soon she's going to leave.
The General Store
Boyd is playing with a spoon on his face while Janae looks on annoyed. All boys are the same - think they can push females around. Ah, he had no idea gender politics was an area of interest. ! There he goes patronising her again as she's a girl.
Karl gives Lou some postage, including a birthday present for Mal.
If Janae is so fearless she should just step it up as Karl is still around. She does and blurts out her apology. She had been avoiding him as he hates her. Karl says he doesn't, and asks about her brothers and other small talk. Well...now that it's sorted, can Boyd have the job? ... Sure he can. When he's gone, Boyd cannot believe she put him on the spot, but is pleased all the same. He agrees to the road trip.
Scarlet Bar Office
Paul understands his daughter's anger, and if she does really want to leave he will buy the ticket...but, he enjoys having her around. Elle admits it's EVERYTHING. Well more Ned, she is constantly pouring her heart out to someone who doesn't love her. What a loser she is. Sound familiar? Paul knows you can't demand a person's love because it won't be real. If Elle really loves Ned, she should simply swallow the hurt and just be with him.
Scarlet Bar
Karl orders off Izzy, and she tries to make small talk but Karl doesn't want a bar of it. Ever.
Scarlet Bar Office
Paul updated Izzy's records into the software, so it's all done now! She is grateful - he is so good to her, and knows what he has compromised. She has some news...she wants Cameron to stay as long as he wants.
House of Trouser
Toadie informs Ned that Connor isn't coming back...but he guesses that he can now appoint Ned as third member of the "House of Trouser". They crack a beer in celebration, although usually he'd probably make him do a nude run. Although they have already seen a NakedNed. Toadie wants to talk about Ned now, as a member of the HoT, his life is up for dissecting. Why hasn't he got it on with Elle? HUH? JUST TELL ME WHY-mantra (complete with banging of fists on table) but is stopped when Elle walks in. Toadie might go...change his pants and leaves the two love birds alone.
She got his message, but knows Ned will just say she came on too strong. He's about to respond, but Gino runs in all excited with a new script. He wants Ned to read it right now, but Ned won't. He claims he needs to read it through properly to give it justice. Gino accepts this, and goes. Elle however doesn't. She knows he has been avoiding things - what is his excuse? That he can't read?
Harold's
Harry and Connor are cooking up a storm for the Salvos. Sky asks Connor about Stu, and how Sindi is. He doesn't know. Oh okay, she leaves the fellas to their cooking. Resume the little duo, Harry asks David to hand over the pepper...
