Recap
- Alex proposing to Susan.
- Janae saying goodbye to Boyd.
- Alex collapsing to the floor.
No. 28
Susan comes out to ask Alex what happened to the drinks, they're coming, and adds that he doesn't look too good. Alex brushes her off but when he reaches the sink, he half collapses onto the sink and Susan goes to him.
West Warratah Caravan Park
Stinger wakes up complaining about it being cold in the bus and Janae and Bree say they are cold too. Janelle refuses to spend an extra $30 for a bus with heating and tells them to sleep with their coats on instead but Stinger still protests. She then remind them that Colac was worse and they had their brothers and their father in that van too but Janae replies that their dad was never there. Janae gets out of her bed to bunk in with Janelle to keep warm, so Janelle suggests Bree snuggles up with Stinger but she refuses because he kicks.
No. 28
The kids ask if their dad is sick and he replies no although Susan thinks he is as she mops his brow. He now brushes it off as a touch of the flu after camping but Zeke thought the fresh air was supposed to be good for you, so Alex humours him by replying that he prefers the prefers his air laced with city smog! Alex sends the kids off to bed because one person fussing over him is more than enough.
No. 26
Joe and B5 are up late sitting in sauna conditions (he turned the heating up as B5 was getting a chill!) watching dog racing live from Cape Town. Lyn comes through to see where he is and after asking why it is so hot, he invites her to watch the racing and have some choccies after telling her which ones to avoid due to B5 licking them - how romantic! As they snuggle up on the couch, she tells him that she is having an attack of the guilts over the Timmin's given it is a cold night outside when they're sitting in sauna conditions. Joe tells her they've made their bed and now they'll have to lie in it but Lyn is still feeling guilty and not just about the Timmins' but about Steph too, as she feels like she's turned her back on both of them. Joe replies that Steph still loves her, it is him who she is dark on, which puzzles Lyn because Max and Boyd think he is fabulous and little Ozzie thinks Joe is Mr Wonderful. Joe says Steph will be like that soon enough but Lyn isn't so sure but she is going to see Steph in the morning and Joe adds that he'll go with her before they snuggle back up to watch the racing.
West Warratah Caravan Park
The kids eat a miserable breakfast and turn down opportunity of a cold shower with Bree telling Janelle that she'd rather smell for her date with Zeke than use the camp shower. Janelle tries to tempt her with the promise of making her look nice but she isn't in the mood because she (and Stinger) are cold, tired and aren't enjoying their breakfast of stale cereal and curdled milk.
No. 32
Joe, Lyn and Oscar arrive bearing gifts - banana muffins, which are Steph's favourites. Boyd digs into them and Joe adds that they are B5's favourites too. The atmosphere is still tense and they go to leave but as they do, Joe stops and heads back in and tells Steph that there are a few things they need to sort out. It doesn't get off to a good start when he calls her Missy!
No. 28
The kids are making Alex breakfast since he is sick although he denies that he is but his hands shake and he spills the OJ he was holding.
West Warratah Caravan Park
Janelle threatens the kids to eat it or lose their breakfast and wait until Janae comes back from the shops with food but Bree says she'll be hours and also comments that there was no food for supper last night either. Janelle says that is because they didn't get home until 10pm and Bree says it isn't surprising that they arrive home late given the state of their living conditions. She then has a go at her mum for the conditions they are now living in because she wasn't nice to Lyn. Janelle says it is Joe that is to blame not Lyn.
No. 32
Not mincing her words, Steph tells Joe he is a bludger and is taking Lyn for a ride and Lyn for letting him. Joe politely tells her she can bag him but not her mum because she has done nothing wrong. Oh yes she has replies Steph, she hasn't hold Joe S about Joe M and Lyn says it is because she hasn't found the right time yet. "There is no right time," Steph says. Joe is trying to blame it on Steph's hormones since they go all over the shop when you are pregnant. Max earns himself a "did you now" from Steph when she discovers he's used that excuse on her behalf too, and he reminds her about walking out on the family dinner the other week. "For god's sakes" Boyd shouts interrupting the argument that is now in progress. "Would you just listen to yourselves."
West Warratah Caravan Park
Janelle is now sulking when Janae comes back with the shopping and defends her mum by saying they are all to blame for Lyn kicking them out when Bree suggests otherwise.
No. 32
Boyd reminds Steph that she now sounds exactly like he did when she first started going out with Max but he was a little kid then whereas she is an adult. "You tell her son" Joe pipes up but he isn't finished yet!
BOYD: And you (he looks in Lyn's direction) should be more sensitive. It's not easy seeing your parents hook up with other people.
STEPH: My point exactly.
BOYD: Will you just cut it out; it's bloody pathetic.
No. 28
Rachel tells Susan that something must be wrong citing what he did when their mum was ill (he said there was nothing wrong when there obviously was) when Alex comes out of the bedroom saying he is off. Susan questions his decision but he replies that he has a lot of paperwork to do. Zeke suggests he goes to see a doctor but he brushes him off before leaving.
West Warratah Caravan Park
The Timmins have a new neighbour at the park - Lou! Janae rushes back to the bus after her camp shower and runs straight into Lou and screams! Janelle quickly runs out of the bus (complete with broomstick) shouting out "keep away from my daughter". Lou quickly stops her before she hits him, to say it is him and not a random stranger as Janae runs into the bus moaning at Janelle for not paying the amenities fee. Janelle wants to know why he is there and he explains that Toadie threw him out and he's now living there too, so she invites him into the bus for a cuppa since they are both Ramsay Street refugees and have therefore got to stick together! Except when they get into the bus, Janae is getting dressed and with the scream she gave, Lou has obviously seem more then he bargained for!
No. 28
As Zeke asks questions about Dahl, Rachel takes a call from a colleague of Alex's asking why he isn't at work. After what happened the previous night, she panics and thinks he has collapsed or had an accident again but Susan suggests that perhaps he has gone to see a doctor after the pressure they put on him.
Outside
Alex has gone to see someone but not a doctor but our old friend Jonathon from the con called Life Mechanics! (Not that Alex knows that.) In the time since we last saw him, he hasn't forgotten any of the rhetoric either as he lays off a spiel to Alex, even showing him a letter from a former client thanking him for his help. Alex asks how it works, and he says the treatment involves natural ingredients and he'll also have to see Alex two or three times a week for special healing sessions. "Is that is" replies Alex, yes Jonathon replies before adding that his ingredients are quite rare and therefore quite expensive - $5,000 for 6 weeks of initial treatment.
Salon
Lyn says goodbye to a client when in come a hat trick of Hoylands all suddenly wanting their hair cut! Lyn gets Janelle to shampoo Steph while Lyn works on Boyd's hair. Max meanwhile makes conversation with Joe (he's building more shelves) once he's finished his slanging match with Janelle.
Janae comes in wanting money for food because Bree and her are hungry but Janelle replies that they can only afford one meal a day. Lyn can't stand it anymore and goes to her purse and gives Janae some money to buy food from the supermarket, despite Joe objecting. Janelle rejects the offer much to Janae's annoyance because she has pride.
JOE: And the gold Logie goes to Janelle for her performance in bunging on a guilt trip. And you (pointing to Janae) get best new talent female.
Janelle asks if they are putting it on and Joe replies yes and to ask anyone present. Nobody says a word, instead Janae storms off and Boyd decides he really didn't need a haircut afterall and goes after her as Janelle has a go at Joe for what he said. Lyn asks if there is a problem then to let her know but Joe is against anyone being sympathetic to her since she is still alive. As you can imagine this comment doesn't go down well at all with Janelle.
JANELLE: Have you ever lived in a clapped out obsolete Governmental reject bus with no heating and four teenage kids on less than three hundred smackers a week?
JOE: No.
JANELLE: So until you do, I suggest you keep your gob shut.
The General Store
Boyd catches up with Janae to talk with her and wants to know if she is staying put after he thought she'd gone back to live in Colac. She confirms she is here to stay, so he invites her to do something but she reminds him about his hair but. Boyd replies that he didn't need to get a hair cut and was only there for an act, just like she does. Just as they are leaving Lou enters and she gives out a little scream and he walks in properly after shielding his eyes from her. Boyd wants to know what that is about but she replies that she'll have to kill him if she tells.
Stinger comes in and notices Bree sitting in the corner and goes over to talk to her about her date. She tells him that Zeke stood her up as he was supposed to arrive an hour ago and so far hasn't appeared. To say Stinger is annoyed would be the understatement of the year and Bree says it doesn't matter but it does to him and he leaves her to have a quite chat with the young man.
Outside
Jonathon has Alex lying on a table and is going back and forth with a 'herbal cigar' reciting "I'm wholesome, I'm whole" over and over again but eventually Alex decides he's had enough because it isn't him and he feels ridiculous. He apologises to Jonathon for wasting his time but this isn't for him and he'll pay for the session. Jonathon asks if he wants to heal, "of course I want to," replies Alex, so Jonathon tells him he must have faith for it to work. He convinces Alex to at least finish off this session and persuades him to lie back down, which he does, and Jonathon tells him to ignore negative thoughts and listen to him instead as he continues with the "I'm wholesome, I'm whole".
Salon
Lyn has finished doing Steph's hair and she thanks her mum. Steph apologises for what she said earlier and Lyn promises to tell Joe S about Joe M and they have a hug as way of making up. Joe meanwhile is trying to get Max to invest in Bouncer 5 (he rejected owning a horse in a syndicate) and Max is sceptical to say the least, so Joe invites Max down to the time trials being held that afternoon because B5 will go like the clappers since Susan has agreed to Audrey being at the track too. In the background Janelle has suddenly become very interested in what Joe is saying.
No. 28
Rachel answers the door to one very angry person - Stingray. In Stinger-speak he lets Zeke firmly know that he doesn't like his sister being stood up. Whilst trying to tell Stinger he had problems with his dad he also tries to get away from him by heading round the back of the sofa, almost knocking Dahl's perch over in the process. They are now standing with Dahl separating them as Stinger in his unique language is telling Zeke if you hurt a member of Clan Timmins then you hurt them all and lets just say I don't fancy the punishment he suggests should be issued! Zeke announces that it wasn't a date and that he doesn't like Bree! "What!" replies Stinger, so Zeke explains further that he likes her but not like that. Dahl now decides to make a noise, so Stinger tells him to step away from the bird but Zeke refuses to and in the nick of time Susan appears and orders Stinger outside. Poor Audrey gets a scare when Susan shouted at Stinger and runs away outside. When Susan and Stinger leave, Rachel tells her brother that she knew Bree liked him.
Ramsay Street
Stinger walks down into the street and notices his mum carrying a bundle and runs off to catch her. When he does, he hears a dog yelping and discovers it is Audrey! Janelle is dognapping her to get back at Joe! She explains to her confused son that Audrey helps B5 run faster and without her, they are both cactus! Stinger thinks that is a bit much but she replies that Joe was asking for it and that is all she has to say on the matter as she quickly departs the street with Audrey not exactly co-operating.
West Warratah Caravan Park
Lou is showing off his new abode to Harold who isn't exactly enthralled by Lou's new home and what he has been reduced to. Whilst waiting for the billy to boil, Lou tells Harold he couldn't be happier - it is quiet unlike the HoT and he is happier than a pig in the proverbial!
Watching the scene from the bus is Boyd and Janae and he has a chuckle over Lou seeing Janae naked earlier. She confides in him that she hates living in the bus but so she doesn't put down Janelle, she refuses to say so before telling him that she feels like she is a loser again. Boyd tries to reassure her and that things will change once she rides it out. Whilst making eyes at each other, she tells him that he is really nice and he says the same about her before leaning in to kiss her. Janae quickly pulls back and he apologises but she then kisses him back and they begin to pash fully.
