Steph telling Bobby her appeal will be heard next week.
Janelle finding out the prize for the spelling bee is $15,000
Sky telling Dylan he had been up to his neck in whatever killed the bird, and to wash it off straight away.
Sky finishes putting Dylan's clothes in the wash as he comes out of the shower, saying everything is fine and what plans do they have for the afternoon. Sky notices that his eyes are red and tells him that they are going to see Karl.
Steph is telling Max the reason why they are appealing - the judge didn't direct the jury properly in that if they believed Lyn's story at all, the it was reasonable doubt, and she should not have been found guilty. Summer wants to know why Lyn isn't coming, but Steph is still nervous just in case she is convicted and doesn't want to put her it through any more. Summer tells her that Bobby said she's win but Max tells them that Bobby shouldn't be getting everyone's hopes up, just in case.
Janelle has been admiring houses and will put a deposit down...as soon as Bree wins the $15,000. Bree tries to put her off but it isn't working, so she tries again by saying what happens if she doesn't win the money. Janelle tells her to stop the negative attitude and that she is going to be interviewed by a journalist soon and they don't want to hear things like that. Bree tells her that she doesn't need to hang around for the interview but nothing can stop Janelle!
Bobby comes in and talks to Lyn about Steph's court case. It appears that Steph has banned them both from court, so Bobby asks Lyn out on a date to a wine bar that night. Lyn replies that she can't get a babysitter, so Bobby feigns a heart attack - ironic since the UK saw Karl's heart attack today - to get her to go out, but in the meantime he's going to join her for some food. Whilst he's getting his food, Izzy comes over to top up her drink, and she starts up some polite conversation with her, but Izzy is having none of that, accusing Lyn of being a gold digger and tells her to back off from Bobby!
Karl has finished checking Dylan over, and he wants to know if he is going to mutate into an evil genesis! Karl tells him that he has a skin irritation but needs more from the blood tests to be exactly sure, but if it gets worse then Dylan should come back and see him.
Bobby is back with his food, and Lyn says she has to leave, coming up with the excuse of going to go to the court, so Bobby tells her he'll come with her to the court! Izzy is listening in, in the background so Lyn tries to come up with more excuses until Bobby asks what is going on. Conveniently, Izzy moves away, so that Lyn can tell him the real reason - that Izzy isn't happy about their friendship and Lyn adds that she doesn't want to get in the way of Bobby getting to know his family again. Bobby tells Lyn that he and Izzy will meet her at the court later, and when Lyn and Oscar prepare to leave, he goes and speaks to Bella telling her that Lyn is his business and to keep he nose out of it! Izzy says that she didn't mean it, and was being stupid and that she promises it won't happen again.
Janelle tries to get Bree to dress up for her interview but she says that she is presentable. Dylan and Sky come in but she ignores him trying to get Bree to smarten herself up, even when he says he was at the Doctors and that his skin might peel off after being in contact with toxic waste. Sky and Dylan head off to No. 24 as the journalist (Bill) comes in. Janelle is very enthusiastic, about being interviewed unlike Bree.
Having given up on getting some TLC from Janelle, Sky is now fulfilling the role at No. 24. Dylan says he is hot, and she offers to phone Karl for him, but he has another suggestion - rubbing ice on his chest! As he strips off his t-shirt she gets some ice from the freezer, and he instructs her to rub a piece very slowly on his chest one bit at a time, which she does...then tips the rest of the bowl over him causing him to fall from the couch.
Bill is trying to ask Bree questions, but Janelle is giving the answers instead but eventually she gets to answer a question. He asks her about the money and if she has any plans should she win it, but before Bree can answer properly, Janelle jumps in and says that they are going to put a deposit down on a house. Bill gives up on the interview, and asks for a photograph of the two of them. Janelle goes over to sit beside Bree (she'd been sitting next to Bill) and tells her to smile as everyone in Erinsborough is going to see this - and Bree promptly throws up!
It's celebration time - Steph has won her appeal. Lyn says she is proud of Steph, and she thanks her before telling Bobby that she wants to repay the money that he gave her but he is having none of it. Quietly, Izzy apologises to Lyn for what she said earlier, and Lyn accepts it as Karl comes in and offers his congratulations to her too, before being introduced to Bobby. Whilst this has been going on, Max has been on the phone, and when he comes off, he gives everyone the good news - Rosie is coming home!
Dylan is cooking a meal and she thinks he is showing off until she tastes it, and likes it. She is impressed that he can do this.
DYLAN: There's a lot you don't know about me Sky.
SKY: I doubt it Dylan, but you can try and prove me wrong.
Bobby is totally (not) looking forward to Rosie returning, citing that it's been too long! Karl is impressed that he still gets on with her, and Bobby says that it is all in the past (Right!), but it will be great. Summer is dreaming up days out as a family as Izzy slopes off quietly to the bar to speak to Max. She tells him that Rosie can't come, as she will ruin everything, particularly as Bobby is not long arrived and hasn't had time to settle in properly yet. Max thought she wanted them all to be a happy family, and it should include Rosie too. Izzy still feels bitter that Rosie didn't call her on her birthday (now which one would that be - 25/26/27/28/29/30/31?) and adds that she doesn't know where Rosie is half the time. Max asks if that is the real reason, and she says yes, so Max asks if the real reason isn't that she is worried that Bobby is going to take off again. Izzy looks at him as if he has two heads, before making up a lame excuse to leave. Bobby takes her place at the bar, and Max sensing that he is a bit on edge, asks if he is going to shoot through.
BOBBY: You'd love that wouldn't you mate. Your old man shoots through, just like you said he would. You'd like nothing better than to be proved right.
Max just tells him that he just calls it like he see it, but Bobby just shakes his head.
Dylan is telling Sky about how life is like in Juvie, and nobody messed with him in there. She asks if he missed anyone whilst he was inside, in particular a girlfriend. He says no, so she asks if he's had anyone special in his life before and this time he says yes, indeed he's had plenty of them! Sky refines the question, by meaning girlfriends and love, but Dylan doesn't answer this time. She then states that the day he's spent with her is probably the longest he's ever spoken to a girl, and when he doesn't answer, she says that it is but Dylan doesn't like it and storms off after saying:
DYLAN: Just get over yourself. You think cos you've had one boyfriend you know it all, well you don't and I don't need it.
Bree is picking at her food and Janelle asks what is wrong. She thinks it is because of the interview, but tells her that it isn't the end of the world and that they can work on it for the future, in particular for when she is being interviewed after winning the spelling final. Bree is so enthralled at the prospect, she head to the laundry room to throw up again. Lovely!
Lyn, Steph Max, and Summer say their goodbyes to Bobby and head home. Karl wants to go too, but Izzy wants to help tidy up. Bobby tells her to go but Izzy becomes upset as she thinks he will shoot through since Rosie is coming home, but he reassures her that he is going nowhere and sends her home with Karl.
The Hoylands come home and Max initially admits he isn't too fussed if Bobby leaves or not, even though Izzy will get upset, but then admits that he likes having his father around. The conversation changes as Max announces that they should look into adoption! Steph is over the moon at the prospect and hugs Max.
MAX: I love you Steph. I really want to do this.
STEPH: You are the best husband ever. I love you. (She hugs and kisses Max again)
SUMMER: Good one dad.
They all celebrate with a group hug.
Bobby takes a look around the deserted bar and leaves but runs straight into the waiting Lyn!
LYN: Do you reckon it is time we had that little chat?
