Recap
- Stu lamenting his relationship with Toadie to Sindi.
- Boyd asking Sky to give him a false alibi.
- Stingray's skate accident.
Skate Park
Serena and Shazza rush over to Stingray. He lies there and does not respond to Serena. Shazza blames Serena for the accident. Serena says they need an ambulance. Suddenly Stingray jumps up, revealing it all to be a joke. Neither girl is impressed: Shazza calls him a cake taker, and Serena calls him an idiot.
Bishop House
Boyd and Sky start to get their alibis sorted. Sky asks him why he can't just tell the truth. Boys tells her that the police already know he lied about being with Daniel, so the they're already suss, and he doesn't want to go to juvenile detention like Stingray's brothers. Sky asks why he went after Gus in the first place. Boyd tells her he had to, but that isn't good enough for Sky, who mentions the Travis incident, and she tells him he could be charged with murder this time.
Susan's
In a newly renovated house, Stu is on the phone with his boss, telling him about his progress in his operation. He goes to hang up the phone and drops it. Then when he finds it, he bumps his head on the table. Sindi comes back in and "rescues" him, and hangs up the phone for him. She guides him to a chair to sit him down, and asks if she's being annoying. Stu says she could never be annoying.
Bishop house
Boyd and Sky continue on their alibis, deciding they watched TV all evening, and realise they better look up what shows were on, so they need to find a copy of last week's TV guide. Boyd snaps at her for picking up this week's instead, then apologises. Sky says it's alright, "we just need to get our stories straight." Serena comes in and hears this, but of course Boyd and Sky won't tell her what that means. Serena tells them about Stingray's accident, and Shazza going off at her and not caring about Stingray. "And then she thinks I'm jealous. Can you believe that? Me, jealous. I mean, you guys know I wasn't jealous. She's not right for him. And you know where it's headed, sooner or later." Boyd tells her it's really between Stingray and Shazza.
Susan's
Sindi tells Stu she has to go soon, and starts to ask if he'll be alright, then catches herself and babbles on, saying she knows he'll manage, and calls herself an idiot. Stu tells her she's wonderful, and loves that she's so caring. She tells him she'll be hanging out some washing, and "if you need me, you just need to break a window, which incidentally, is right over there."
Bishop house
Sky suggests Stingray likes Shazza for who she is, despite the way they behave in public. Serena says that Shazza can't be right, she just leads him around by the pants. Sky tells her it's up to them.
"Why would I care if he makes a fool of himself?" Serena adds. Boyd leaves them alone, and goes home. Serena continues to beat herself up, talking about all her past mistakes - The sleazy photographer, Stingray, Luka. She tells Sky that she and Boyd are perfect, but Sky reminds her of what things have been like the past few weeks. She laments that Stingray was the most honest guy she's ever met, and she just let him go.
Susan's
Stu eats a sandwich, and accidentally knocks the plate off the bench, smashing it. Stingray notices, but doesn't do anything. Stu begins to pick up the pieces, and Sindi comes running in. She tries to help, but he insists on doing it himself. When he accidentally cuts himself, Sindi tells him that she'll do it. "Fine! What does it matter?" he says. Stu mentions Sindi's plan of going to work. Sindi says she can call in sick if he wants. Stu tells her to go, he doesn't mind spending time on his own.
Outside Susan's
Stu makes his way out to the letterbox. Harold sees and asks if he needs help, which Stu declines. He wishes Stu all the best at hospital in the afternoon. Stu gets to the letterbox, gets the mail, drops, picks it up, then realises he has no idea where the house is. He is stuck in the middle of the street. Toadie pulls up and insists on helping him back to the house. He they get inside, Toadie sees Stingray and asks him what's going on. "Lunch. Fish fingers with Tabasco sauce!"
Toadie tells him he should be keeping an eye on Stu. Stingray tells him that Stu stole Toadie's girlfriend. Toadie says that it doesn't matter what's going on between him and Stu, Stingray should be helping him because he lives there now. Stingray refuses to help, and Stu refuses to be helped by him. Stingray tells Toadie that Stu lied about what was happening between him and Sindi, which starts up a huge fight that Toadie has to stop. He tells Stingray that while his loyalty is appreciated, he still needs to help out. Stu tells him it's not necessary. Toadie says that he has a huge workload with Steph's case, and he doesn't want to break up any more fights, so they can just do it.
Makeshift Coffee Shop
Stingray meets up with Shazza and asks about her parents, but she doesn't say much, other than the conversation is boring. He perseveres, and explains that he likes Shazza, and wants to know her better. Shazza says she's just like him, now he knows everything. She then kisses him. Stingray is a little uncomfortable and gets up to buy some drinks.
Grease Monkeys
Boyd's nervous. Sky tells him their alibi is water tight. Boyd is also unsure about what he's going to do this year, now that he's stuffed up his VCE. Sky suggests he could repeat year 12. He'll be in the same class as Sky, and other people his own age. Boyd thinks his fellow students will give him a hard time because "the brain who skipped a year has to repeat". He jokes that there's tonnes of jobs out there for someone with a lack of skills and experience.
Makeshift Coffee Shop
Sindi places an order, and Harold mentions seeing Stuart earlier. Sindi tells him Stu's been really good through it all. Harold tells her about his plans for later: going over to the council chambers to do some research into the backyard bones. Sindi tells him it's turning into a creepy hobby. Harold laughs and says it's like an Agatha Christie novel. Sindi makes a hint about medical students, which Harold thinks is an Agatha Christie novel.
Sindi sees Toadie and thanks him for helping Stu earlier. She also says she wants the three of them to be friends, maybe have a barbecue some time. Toadie tells her that he saw Stu in the street, he couldn't just leave him there. And while Sindi was telling him that she loved him, she was secretly seeing Stuart, so a friendship is still a little way off yet.
Later, Harold tells Toadie about his success with his research. He is really pleased that he was able to find so much, and was allowed to copy it too. He says he's going through all the names of the early Erinsborough settlers, and seeing if any of them have mysteriously disappeared. Toadie mentions medical students, which Harold again thinks is a novel. Toadie decides to further the bones joke: he tells Harold that Bob dug up a bone this morning. Harold is really interested, and asks if he can drop by later to see it.
Grease monkeys
Shazza kisses Stingray again, and he is still uncomfortable. He says he's never known a girl who pashes so much. Shazza tells him he hasn't known many girls. Stingray names Serena, "for one." Shazza tells him that she'll have the house to herself for a few days and invites Stingray around, maybe she could see more of his tatts. She mentions the tattoo with "her" name on it, and Stingray tells her who it's really named after: his guinea pig. Shazza thinks it's cute, and asks if he's up for coming around to her place. He says yes.
Hoyland house
There's impatient knocking on the door. Boyd opens it and lets Stingray in. He is really nervous, checking to make sure the house is empty. Then he tells Boyd about Shazza wanting him to go over to her house. Boyd tells him to make sure he takes protection. Stingray tells him he already knows all that, but he wasn't expecting this so soon. He is really indecisive about the whole thing. Eventually he decides to do "what I have to do". He leaves, making excited "humana-humana" noises.
Susan's
Sindi comes home from work and asks about Stu's hospital check-up. He says that doctors aren't sure how it went, they have to wait and see. Sindi is convinced it was a success, because she made an astrological chart. Eventually, Stuart tells her the truth: he has a fifty-fifty chance of losing his sight. Sindi tries to remain optimistic, but Stuart tells her to be realistic. He asks if she'll still be there if things go bad. Can she honestly say she'll still hang around if his blindness is permanent?
