Stingray says it was probably some year 12 meathead. He asks Boyd if he saw her with anyone at the formal - he went out the same time she did. Boyd says he didn't see anything. Suddenly he has an idea: he'll go back to the hall and search for clues (he got the idea from watching SVU). Boyd goes back to talk to Serena, asking her what she said to him, because Stingray's gone nuts.
"Stingray's always nuts," she tells him. She tells Boyd that she only told Stingray she wanted to be friends, she doesn't know how he interpreted that to mean there was someone else. Boyd tells her about Stingray's evidence search. Serena says he'll get distracted and forget all about it. Before they can say much more, Lana comes into the kitchen. Boyd goes back to his table.
