Recap
- Sindi saying to Scott that they shouldn't move back in with Toadie straight away Lil, Susan & Lyn. spying on David acting "shifty".
- Max finds out that Sky and Boyd are thinking about getting their Ls.
Coffee Shop
Sky and Serena find Boyd and Scott to see what they're up to for the day. The answer is, not a lot. Harold asks Sky if they're still on for their driving lesson that afternoon. "Out of this way world. I got my learner's permit and I'm not afraid to use it!" Harold looks confused. "... I'll take that as a yes then." Everyone gets on Boyd's case about driving and Boyd tries to change the subject.
Sindi comes in and asks to borrow Scott for a second. When they're by the counter, Sindi says that Scott's amazing. Scott thanks her and is about to go back to his table when Sindi stops him and asks of he wants to know why. It's because he listened to her and didn't move back in with Toadie straight away. Scott wonders why Sindi isn't moving back in and she makes up some excuse that she's giving him time to recover too. "Then I think you're pretty cool, too," says Scott, kissing her on the cheek.
Pub
Stu worries about Toadie handling Lou's court case too soon, but Connor says he'll be fine. Max gives the boys and Lou some beer to taste test. They give it the thumbs up until Max says it's from a rival pub. Connor immediately hates it because it tastes nearly exactly the same as his brew. "This is theft! That's what this is, theft." Connor says he's not going to let the makers of 'Shamrock Bitter' get away with it.
Outside Grease Monkey's
Sky watches the rest of the gang eat their burgers in disgust. "Would you like some hamburgers with your grease?" Sky says she doesn't even want to know what is put in the burgers, and Scott pretends to find an eyelid in his. He puts some other would-be-customers off their food by announcing loudly that something just moved in his burger. They scurry away while Boyd, Serena and Scott burst out laughing. Sky doesn't find it amusing.
Number 30
The trouser boys are getting ready to play a serious game of Monopoly. Connor is still worrying about the rival brew. Sindi flutters in with the washing, but no matter how much Toadie asks her to leave it be and play, she insists on finishing the housework. Toadie muses aloud about why she's acting so funny lately. Connor says that Sindi was by his side ever since they found him, "it must mean something." Toadie agrees, "Yeah I know. I just wish she'd sit still long enough so I could tell her."
Coffee Shop
David says to Lil that he's thinking about buying some board shorts. "They'd suit me down to the ground. Well, down to the knees anyway." Lil looks concerned and wants to know what his sudden interest in his appearance is all about. "Honey, you're not by any chance using my night cream are you?" David is spared from further inquiries by answering his mobile... and taking the call on the other side of the shop. Harold walks smugly over with their order and wonders why David had to take the call all the way over there. He looks knowingly at Lil, "What's good for the goose..." Lil just looks even more confused. "Goose?"
Number 30
Stu and Connor have got themselves some sunnies to "disguise" themselves, and leave to go and do something about the beer situation. Toadie wants to spend some time alone with Sindi, but she still looks hesitant. "They told me you wouldn't leave my side when I was in hospital, but now I'm at home you won't even come near me. Did you like me in a coma?" he adds, jokingly. She laughs and says no, she just wants him to live in a clean environment, passing him a grotty shirt she found under his bed. Toadie says they can't wash that one, Dee used to wear it when she made Chinese food so it wouldn't get on her clothes. He hid it under the bed because she was so bad at making it. "Well I better stick to Italian then..." Sindi jokes halfheartedly, then walks away.
Rival Pub
Stu, Connor and Lou wear their sunnies to disguise themselves and walk into the rival pub to check it out. Or should I say, they walk into an alternate reality where the publican wears a Lou shirt and calls people "sunshine", and where the maker of 'Shamrock Bitter' is called Seamus and just happens to be a young Irish lad who brewed the beer (recipe handed down through the generations) as a way of keeping his Visa running. The three guys are gob smacked. Seamus sees through Connor's dodgy Australian accent he put on and his Clark Kent masquerade to reveal them as rival pub workers. After a quick tiff between the two of them, the Erinsborough trio leaves the pub with Connor calling out threats to Seamus.
Coffee Shop
David is still acting shifty as they finish their meal, telling Lil he has to leave because he's got a business meeting. He pays the bill and Harold congratulates him on making Lil suss like she did with him. David says that's not what he's up to... but he is up to something else. "I tell you what though, I haven't felt this good in years!" The two of them have a bit of a Bishop belly laugh.
Bishops
The teen gang return home after a day of clogging up their arteries at Grease Monkey's. Boyd and Sky start to kiss on the couch, so Serena and Scott follow their lead and engage in some smooching... until Scott suddenly breaks away and says, "Hey, I found this trampoline we could use to jump into the pool!" Serena looks aghast. "Scott, is that what you're thinking about when you kiss me?" "Yeah! Come on!" She warily follows him outside. Sky asks Boyd if that's what he thinks about when they're kissing. He says no, but drags her outside to see Scott's cool idea.
Pub
Stu, Connor & Lou come back to tell Max the bad news. Connor is very sulky and keeps calling Seamus names like "Irish git". Lou announces that they might get their chance to bring them down a peg or two in the 'Annual Inter-Pub Staff Indoor Cricket Tournament' - something he just made up.
Bishops
Harold is teaching Sky the basics of driving... while they sit on the couch and use grapefruit as pedals. "Granddad this is ridiculous!" "Oh, this is how I taught Paul how to drive and he turned out to be an excellent driver."
Lil has brought a halt to the trampoline pool fun outside by bringing the kids back in. She sends Boyd and Scott on their merry way. They make fun of Sky on their way out. Harold can see she's discouraged and tells her to go and get the keys.
Ramsay Street
Serena watches Sky and Harold in the car. After making the appropriate adjustments, he tells Sky to slowly back out of the driveway. Apparently it's opposite day in Sky's world and she screeches out of the driveway full pelt. Serena, Boyd and Max look on in surprise while Scott cheers her on, throwing his wet clothes up in the air in celebration. Harold is clinging on to the dashboard for dear life, but Sky says he should chill; she's been driving on the farm for years "I'm way past the grapefruit stage." They take off down the street at a reasonable speed, waving to Boyd on the way past.
Max says that could have been Boyd if he had have got his L's. Boyd gets annoyed and remarks that it's not compulsory. Something clicks inside Max's head and a look of understanding dawns on his face.
Hoylands
Max says he's not trying to pressure Boyd, and Boyd apologises for snapping at him. Max rightly guesses that Boyd has some residual issues about driving from the time he crashed Toadie's car. Boyd says that he's scared of getting behind the wheel of another car in case he loses control. Max says Boyd has learned from his mistake and he is a much smarter kid now. He offers to teach him some tricks of the trade when it comes to driving. Boyd smiles, "when do we start?"
Number 30
Stu's annoyed that Sindi left Toadie to fend for himself while they were out, but Connor says to go easy. Toadie explains they had a falling out of sorts but he doesn't understand why. "We talked about it (memories of Dee) ages ago and she said she was fine about it." He doesn't know what Sindi wants from him.
Bishops
Sky and Harold come back from their drive. Harold looks much calmer now and he tells Lil and Serena that Sky is a wonderful driver.
Lil asks Harold if he knows where David is. "Checking up on him, ay! I suppose you must be feeling a little like David today over that business between you and the self defense instructor, ay!" Lil wants to know if David is up to something. Harold offers to check for her, but then takes it back and says it'll be good to see her get a little bit of her own medicine back, chuckling as he walks away. Lil is stunned.
Pub
David walks in with some flowers, wanting to buy a bottle of champagne from Lou. A lady walks in and says hello to him. This lady is the mysterious Crystal and she pleasantly informs him that he forgot to pay her before. He hands her some money and says he'll have another session soon, then nicely asks if she could go outside so they aren't seen together. Lou has seen her though and comments that she was an attractive lady. David pretends he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Susan's
Scott is showing Sindi a nice big mark on the side of his stomach that he got from today's escapades. Sindi looks at it in concern as she goes to answer the door. It's Toadie, much to Scott's delight as he runs at him for a hug. Toadie is happy to see him but says he needs to chat with Sindi. Scott goes to his room looking all disappointed that his cousin doesn't want to talk with him.
Toadie and Sindi speak awkwardly to one another. Toadie gently says that Dee was his wife and he can't not remember things about her, and that he thought she was cool with that. Sindi says she can live with Toadie having memories of Dee, she just can't compete with them. "When you came out of the coma, you said... you said Dee's name. I love you, but I can't play second string to a memory. I can't and I won't."
