(Story by story)
THE TRIANGLE
Karl has just admitted to Izzy that he "wants her" and Izzy is a bit stunned when the injured Gus walks in, realising he needs medical attention afterall. Izzy leaves and realising he has walked in on something, Gus gives Karl the third degree about staying about "getting smart" and staying away from "99". He is really quite intimidating to Karl.
Lyn is making a speech of the engagement of Steph & Max when Gus walks in followed by a stalking Karl who thunders up to him, accusing him of threatening him. Their exchange gradually gets louder in the background until finally everyone has stopped, listening to Karl telling Gus to "put up or shut up". Realising that everyone is watching, a mortified Karl goes to leave but is stopped by Izzy on the way out and tells her that Gus had threatened him, and is very upset. Karl eventually leaves, humiliated. Gus explains his side of the story to Izzy claiming that Karl is off his rocker. Lyn leans over to Valda and asks "still not taking sides?"
Karl has gone back to the surgery and Lyn enters, determined to give Karl a piece of her mind. Karl doesn't want to listen to her tirade but Lyn continues, only stopping when Valda enters and pulls her away. Izzy has gone home and sees Max in the kitchen. Max tells her that the wedding is not going to be a quick thing so she doesn't need to look for somewhere else to live just yet. Izzy, who has already had a bad night, doesn't react well. "You throwing me out?" Max tries to explain, but Izzy doesn't listen, walking out. She finds Gus cleaning up at the pub and spends the night with him.
Next morning, Karl sees her and Gus 'the morning after' and is clearly upset. A little while later, Izzy walks into the surgery with a friendly coffee but Karl is not receptive and tells her that Gus is a "psycho" and that he doesn't want her to use him any more, and to stay away from him, as in Karl. "Just leave me alone."
LOUEY, LOUEY, LOUEY........
Lou is very happy with his Periwinkle investment and buys Karl a coffee in thanks at the coffee shop. He confirms with Harold that he will definitely repay the $1,000 loan that day. His phone rings and he tells Harold "this is the call that will change my life." It is his stockbroker on the line, telling him that trading in his stocks have been suspended pending an investigation. Lou is stunned "that makes the stocks worthless." He hangs up and makes a quick exit from the coffee shop. We next see him at home, loading the boot of his car with a suitcase and him mobile phone rings. It is Rocco. He throws the phone into the garden and drives away.
LOYAL LYNNIE
Lyn is determined not to be the gossip that Karl accused her of being and doesn't want to tell Susan of Karl's humiliation the night before. When Susan calls, she avoids the subject, with Valda looking on telling her later that if you don't tell her "the rest of the gossips will."
CHICKY SKY
Sky has a baby chick to take care off and Harold is helping her. Boyd comes over at one stage to tell her of the Gus & Karl confrontation. Later she gets a phone call from Toby, her brother, to tell her that her father, Joe MANGEL and Cynthia's wedding has been postponed. She tries to talk to Toby longer, but he is in a hurry. She tells Harold that she misses them all but doesn't want to go home, "nothing to go for". She tells Harold that she missed the "old Grandad" and Harold promises that he is trying to be the same as he always was.
MISCELLANEOUS POINTS
Stuart asks Karl for help with information for the psychological exams for the police force. Summer asks Steph if she can be a "junior bridesmaid" at the wedding. Boyd does some pushups in the kitchen with his arms on one bench and his feet on another.
