When she hangs up she asks Karl why he had to leave Harold's earlier in such a rush, but he says the paperwork had to be done. Hoylands
Max is reading a recipe to Steph in his best Jamie Oliver accent. He realizes they need wine for the meal, and Steph says there's still some left over from the Winery tour. Max gets a little distracted by the memories of said tour. Summer walks out with a box of books for the Op Shop. Steph says she can't throw out all her 'Milly-Molly-Mandy' books, they're classics. Summer says Max used to read them to her in stupid voices, but Max says his voices were Logie award winners.
Life Mechanics

Hoylands
Max is reading a Milly-Molly-Mandy book to Steph in one of his quirky accents, and she's loving it. Steph, Max and Summer chat about the characters. Max sees how much Steph is enjoying the book, and says he knows how she feels at the moment, "but I could just kiss you on the lips right now!" She laughs.
The Pub
Taj is telling Toadie what happened at Life Mechanics, and that he feels bad for making a scene. Toadie says to him that Jonathon is just out to get people's money, and it's all a load of crap. "I don't know the secret to eternal happiness, but I'm pretty sure it's a bit more than just a string of car metaphors. Try this one, 'Taj, take the train because you can see so much more when you're not driving'." Taj wonders if Stu will see that too, and Toadie says he'll work it out.
Life Mechanics
The session has just ended, and Stu is telling Jonathon that he feels empowered and in control of his own life for once. Jonathon says that no one has ever got a response from the group like that before. He believes that Stu has enormous potential in this world. Stu's pretty chuffed.
Number 30
Jonathon and some Life Mechanics people have been over for coffee and they pass Toadie on the way out. Toadie tells Stu that he doesn't trust Jonathon, and he can't believe he's putting him above the rest of his mates. Stu figures out that Toadie's spoken to Taj and isn't impressed. Toadie tries to talk some sense into Stu but it's not working.
The Scullys
Lyn's fixing Joe's suit so he can go to the posh golf club with David and Karl. Joe can't be bothered. Steph goes to the door and is surprised to see Max wearing a leather jacket. "Good grief! It's Mad Max!" They go outside.
Outside the Scullys
Max shows Steph the bike he got for himself (with an 'L' plate on the front!). He tells her that he used to ride, but stopped when he came off it once and freaked himself and Claire out. But Steph's made him realize that life is full of the unexpected, so he renewed his license... and only hired the bike much to Steph's glee. "I'm committed to you Steph. Consider the day seized." She hugs him. He says that he's got a picnic packed so they can go on an adventure. She bags him out about his bike and he chases her up the steps.
Kennedys
Karl's all dressed up for golf, but he forgot that he and Susan planned a picnic for that day. Susan says that he should go to golf instead so the Bishops won't get offended. Karl senses that she doesn't like them, but she says she does. The air's a bit frosty between them when he leaves.
Scullys
Summer brings over some of her books for Oscar for when he's older, and so she can read them again if she ever needs too. Lyn is in the middle of making gingerbread, and asks Summer if she wants to help. Summer is more than happy to.
The Coffee Shop
Stu is putting up a Life Mechanics poster when Taj walks in. Taj apologises for what happened yesterday, and is surprised that Stu isn't angry about it. Stu says that he's only annoyed that he spoke to Toadie behind his back about it. Taj says he did it to look out for him. Stu informs him that they're still mates, but he shouldn't move in anymore because they're, "Pulling in different directions. It'd be like driving with the handbrake on, it wouldn't work. Sorry." Taj is annoyed.
The Coffee Shop
Susan cautiously looks around for Izzy as she walks in and spots Taj sitting by himself. Taj ends up talking about his parents moving away, how he can't stay at Number 30 anymore, and how there's no point to him finishing Yr.12. Susan says there's no point giving up now, and offers for him to stay at her place. He's a bit unsure, but Susan says they'll be able to cope with the situation for the few months he needs.
Scullys
Summer has given the gingerbread people long, blonde icing hair. They talk about Steph and Summer wants reassurance that Steph will get better. Lyn says that if they all stay really positive, she'll pull through. "If we all show her we really love her, nothing bad will happen, will it," asks Summer. Lyn smiles, "I hope not sweetheart."
School Crossing
Steph and Max stop at the lollipop man. Max thinks he's pretty hot stuff until all the kids walking past start sniggering at him. And a guy on a bike next to them starts laughing too. Steph can't help smirking at him.
Kennedys
Susan and Lyn are having a chat, and Lyn tells her that she can't wait for Flick and Michelle to meet Oscar. They also talk about Karl and Susan says she was suspicious of him for a second because of the absences and the breath mints, then she hated her self for even thinking it. Lyn's mobile rings.
Cuts between the Kennedys and the Pub.
Joe tells Lyn he skipped out of golf so he wouldn't have to be around David for longer than he had to. "I think he might be a bigger snob than Karl!" He also tells Lyn that Karl was a no show.
Lyn tells Susan that Karl wasn't there, and she looks a bit worried. Lyn reassures her that everything is fine. Susan sees a piece of paper near the door and picks it up. She looks outside but can't see anybody.
A Park Somewhere
Steph and Max have set up a picnic for themselves. They're talking in the funny accents again, and Steph says they're dags. "Dags together," says Max. "Forever," agrees Steph. She wraps her arms around him and kisses him. They look blissfully happy.
Kennedys
Susan sits down in shock and shows Lyn the letter. It says 'Do you know what your husband's up to?'. Lyn says that it's someone's idea of a really bad joke, and she knows what her husband is up to. Susan's not so sure, "I thought I did last time, too. Lyn I couldn't cope if it happened again." Lyn says it's not going to. Susan looks upset.
