Taj and Stuart are playing 'bean bag soccer', while Connor and Toadie try not to pay any attention. Taj gloats as Stu drops the ball, but Connor quickly stops him, saying that the one thing more annoying that watching them play is to listen to them fight about it. Stu looks at him, and Connor looks at his feet before apologizing again about messing up the 'hippie' thing. Stu waves his apology aside and says that they take choices which lead them down different paths is all. Toadie jokes that the remark sounds like something out of that hippie camp. Stu asks them to come to the life mechanics seminar, but Toadie and Connor flatly refuse. Stu gives Taj a pleading look, and he sighs and gives in. Stu thanks him.

Steph shrugs half heartedly and says that she doesn't mind. Lyn gives Steph a comforting smile, and reminds her that the family is here to help- but she has to let them in. Boyd then notices Stu having lunch with Taj, and he asks Stu if there is any work going on at the garage. Stu tells him that there are some odd jobs that need doing, and Boyd begs if he can help- because he needs to earn some extra money. Stu looks at Boyd and then agrees, and reminds him that what happened last time will not happen again. Boyd agrees and him and Sky leave the coffee shop. Stu and Taj then get back onto the subject of the seminar, and Stu promises that if it isn't any good that he will buy Taj a drink at the pub. Taj agrees.

Toadie throws down the toaster in frustration, and Connor eggs him on, telling him that he knows he just want's to kick the toaster. Toadie exclaims that he she bullied him into it, and doesn't know how to say no. Connor laughs and suggests that Toadie goes to Stu's 'guru' camp. Toadie rolls his eyes and reminds Connor that the only reason that he is going to the guru thing is because Kavisha wants him to. Connor shakes his head and tells him that Kavisha gave him the flick, so this time it's for real. Toadie looks bewildered.
Stu and Taj walk into the seminar and look surprised. As they look around they see just a bunch of normal people having a barbecue. Stu looks relieved and says to Taj that it doesn't look too bad. It's just a bunch of people getting together and sharing life experiences. Stu jokes that he was looking forward to talking in tongues. Jonathan laughs and apologizes for disappointing him. When he leaves, Stu asks Taj what he thinks. Taj smiles and admits that he is going to help himself to a sausage.

The phone then rings, and Lyn answers it. She gets off quickly and then tells Steph that Joe need someone to help with the deliveries so she needs to go help him. Lyn puts an arm around her and tells her that when you are around newborns your natural instincts kick in, and it is important to pay attention to them. Steph looks thoughtful and then asks Lyn if they can postpone the picnic, because there is something she needs to take care of. Steph closes the door behind her, and Lyn grins at Oscar and whispers 'I think you just worked your magic my beautiful baby boy.'

She apologizes for quitting on him, and admitted that she felt she needed to deal with it on her own; but then realizing that she was hurting people she cared about. Stu assures her that it is ok, and the main thing is that she is ok. He asks her if the operation worked, and she replies that they need to monitor her and she has to undergo chemotherapy. Steph then asks if she can have her apprenticeship back part time, and understands if Stu rejects the offer. Stu looks delighted and tells her that there is a ton of work to do around here and that part time will be helping him out, as long as she takes it easy. Steph agrees, but on the condition that he doesn't tell anyone, especially Max. Stu interrupts, but eventually gives in.. Stu smiles and says that he missed her round the garage, and she hugs him. He tells her that Steph has caused them trouble from the beginning and then dumps his father after all they have been through. He then suggest that she was only stringing his father along, and then turned to Stuart-after all, he has less baggage. Sky tries to calm him down, but Boyd keeps going. Toadie insists that Taj was quite about it and now they want to hear the real story. Stu says that it was a good day, and Taj backs him up. Stu then asks them if they are going to sign up, and Taj just shrugs and says maybe. Connor looks like both of them have gone mad, and Toadie asks them how much money are they going to waste. Boyd isn't really paying attention, and answers the doorbell as it rings. He opens the door to find Stu and doesn't look very impressed. Stu tells him that Steph's taken back her apprenticeship, so there is no more work available. Boyd glares at him and tells him that he doesn't care and can stick his job. He then slams the door in his face, leaving a bewildered Stu on the doorstep.

She insists that he did, and promises to show Lyn as soon as he wakes up. Lyn then tells Steph that she found this site on the Internet about women who underwent chemotherapy, and found that it made them infertile, and spent the rest of their lives wishing that they harvested their eggs. Lyn begs her to think about it, and Steph clicks, asking her mother whether Joe really needed her. When Lyn refuses to give an answer Steph just laughs and says that was pretty sneaky. Lyn asks her again, and Steph promises that she will think about it- on the condition that she stops tricking her.
Boyd walks down the street and spots Steph's motorcycle. He looks around to see if anyone is watching and grabs a pole from the Scullys' trailer. He checks again to see if the coast is clear, then smashes the bike headlight.
