Scullys
Jack tries to leave but Joe stops in front of him. Joe tells Jack he's not going to leave until he tells him what's going on and they'll sit there until he tells him.

Kennedys
Susan asks Karl if they'll see Darcy in the court today. Karl tells her probably but it'll be straightforward, Darcy will plead guilty, the judge will pass a sentence and then they're out of there. Susan says she can't see what good it will do sending Darcy to jail its not like he's a danger to society. Karl says it will stop him doing it again and it's out of their hands anyway, the judge will read their victim impact statements then decide on his punishment.

Libby's
Libby is tells Steph she has decided to take the job in Adelaide. Steph says with everything she's been through she deserves it and that Libby has helped her see that it is possible that things can work out. Steph tells Libby that she went for a ride and she kept going faster and faster hoping to leave her body behind, then she came across an accident with a car on it's roof with a woman stuck inside. Steph stayed until the ambulance arrived, the woman thought she was going to die and Steph said she kept telling her she wasn't going to die and that's when she decided that life was worth living for and not to give a so easily.

Scullys
Jack gets up and so does Joe. Jack says he's just going to get a glass of water, Joe tells him he can have one after he' told him what's going on. Jack says he can't do that and he's not going to get anything out of him. Joe says so there is something. Jack says he meant that there's nothing to get and he could flatten Joe in a minute. Joe says maybe but wouldn't it be easier to just tell him.

Kennedys
Karl tells Susan she lied to him about what she put in her victim Impact statement. Susan says she didn't she just didn't argue with him and he just assumed they wrote the same thin. Karl says that 18 months isn't a sufficient sentence. Susan says that Karl has to understand that no matter what Darcy's done he's still family. Karl walks out saying you can't pick your family.

Scullys
Joe is staring at Jack. Jack looks at him watch and says Dad please. Joe tells Jack he's just trying to help and to just tell him, Jack says he can't. Steph walks into the kitchen and overhears Joe & Jack. Joe asks if it's about Steph, Jack says he can't say. Joe asks again if it's about Steph, Steph walks in and says yes. Jack says he didn't tell him. Steph says it's ok. Lyn walks in the front door and asks them to help her take the shopping in. Steph asks Lyn to sit down as she has something to tell them. Steph says, "I have breast cancer."

Scullys
Steph tells them that she's had the lump removed but she has to go back for a course of chemotherapy. Joe tells her if there's anything she needs like money or anything to just ask. Steph tells them the doctors don't know what the prognosis is. Lyn reassures Steph she's going to be all right.

Coffee Shop
Boyd and Sky are in the Coffee Shop and Erin walks in. with a group of girls talking about the school formal. Erin says they need a theme that gives even the biggest loser a chance. Sky tells Boyd to 'watch this'

SKY: Erin, you've got to stop doing this.
ERIN: what?
SKY: Following me everywhere.
ERIN: Like you're so popular!
SKY: I'm not judging you it's just that I don't like you, not in that way anyway.
ERIN: You're a freak!
SKY: Oh don't be ashamed Ez, there's nothing wrong with it, I just can't return your love that's all, You're not my type. I'm sorry.

Boyd starts to play along.

BOYD: When were you going to tell me about this? Do you really think I want to be with someone who stands in the way of true love.
ERIN: You're all foul.
SKY: I know you're hurting babe but I'm with Boyd now.
ERIN: First thing we do is put someone one the door to keep the weirdoes out.
SKY: Poor Erin. Hey don't be too hard on yourself, OK?
ERIN: We'll make a black list and guess who's heading it
SKY: No, Erin, No. Anything but that, If I can't go to the prom, I'll just die.

Kennedys
Libby is telling Susan that she's decided to take the job in Adelaide as she feels it's the right thing for them. Susan tells Ben he'll be so much bigger next time she sees him. Libby tells Susan she can come across during the school holiday. Libby asks Susan if she and Karl have had a fight. Susan says it was about Darcy's sentence and Karl's cross because she can't hate Darcy as much as he does.

Coffee Shop
Erin is still talking about the prom when she walks out. Boyd tells Sky Erin has a point that she is weird and points to what she is wearing telling her that she pays money for the junk other people throw out. Sky says what unlike sane people who pay a huge corporation a whole heap of money for a stupid logo. Boyd says he actually skates and he's not just wearing it for a fashion statement. Boyd calls Sky a 'weirdo" Sky calls Boyd a "wannabe". Sky tells Boyd she's going to take him Op-shopping, Boyd isn't keen but finally agrees saying only if he can take her into skate shops.

Scullys
Lyn asks Steph if it's what she was trying to tell her before the Christening. Steph says it was bad timing and she doesn't know what she would have done without Jack. Jack says Steph also had Libby and Karl. Joe looks shocked. Steph says Karl was the first to know as he's her doctor and he's been really supportive. Lyn asks if Max knows. Steph says no. Lyn asks if this is why she broke up with Max. Steph says yes. Lyn says she has to tell him he'll find out eventually. Steph says no, he's already lost his wife and she can't do it to him.

Harold's
Boyd is trying to watch TV. Sky comes out with a bag of Harold's old clothes from the 70s. Sky tells him to stand up. Boyd says there's not way he is wearing Harold's old clothes. Scene cuts to Boyd coming out of a bedroom with Harold's old clothes on. Boyd says he looks like a clown. Sky tells Boyd to stand on the coffee table so she can customize them. Boyd says they clothes will come in handy if Erin picks a 70s theme for the prom. Sky says she can't believe Boyd wants to go.

Scullys
Lyn tells Steph there are two things she wants her to promise. 1 - That there will be no more secrets in the family. Steph says she promises but if the second is about Max she's not going to change her mind. Lyn says the second is she wants Steph to move back home until she's back on her feet.

Harold's
Sky tells Boyd he has to admit he likes them. There's a knock at the door. Boyd runs and hides in the kitchen while Sky answers the door. There's noone there just a small box on the door step. She brings it inside and opens it. Inside is a jar with an animal's heart in it. Sky says she knows whom it is from.

School
Erin is holding a meeting about the school formal. Sky and Boyd walk in with the box.

ERIN: Can I help you?
SKY: Just bring you your dinner you left it at my house you silly thing. I know, I know it was just a ploy to see me again. How can you run a meeting without your dinner, you know you can't string two thoughts together without your protein. Go one take a look
ERIN: What's in there?
SKY: Come on, darling.
BOYD: Sheep or pig - I wasn't quite sure.
SKY: We decided pig - heavier overtones.
ERIN: I've got no idea what you're talking about.

Sky turns to everyone in the class.

SKY: Erin left a heart on my doorstep, honestly, the lengths she'll go to to get my attention. Flattering really if not a little gross. Go on, take a peek.
ERIN: I've got no idea where it came from
SKY: Oh let's see. Daddy's butcher shop maybe. Perry Meats where the meat comes straight from the farm to your plate.
ERIN: I'm the one who's flattered Sky, that you'd think I'd be brave enough to stand up to a bogan like you. Just proves my point about getting security on the door. White trash like this, you never know what they're capable of.
SKY: Oh well, let,s find out then shall we?
BOYD: Let's just go.
SKY: What and miss out on planning the greatest night of our young lives... never. I've got a million and one ideas for the formal. Now where were we.

(Sky whispers to Boyd)

SKY: See Boyd, the ugly stepsisters can't stop us. You shall go to the ball!

Kennedys
Karl tells Susan he's sorry and he just felt so much rage for what Darcy has done to them. Susan says that sending him to jail for years won't take it away. Karl says he loves her for her loyalty. Karl answers a knock at the door. Joe tells Karl that Steph told him about her cancer. Karl says he's relieved she's told them and he knows it's a shock for them. Joe says the shock is that Karl could watch Steph got through it on her own and not tell her family. Karl tells Joe that as Steph's doctor he couldn't betray her trust. Joe tells Karl he's here to see him as a father not a doctor. Susan comes over and asks what's going on. Joe tells Susan that Steph has cancer and that Karl knew and everyday he looked him in the eye knowing what Steph was going through and not doing anything about it. Joe tells Karl he hopes that he never knows what this feels like.
