Recap
Max and Steph declare their love for each other.
Karl reminds Susan that if they lose the case, they're bankrupt.
Toadie is looking over Karl's papers for the case. He tells Karl that he would probably need a trained lawyer in medicine to represent him-preferably one that the MDO has recommended. Karl shakes his head in frustration. Toadie looks at how worried Karl is and offers to do it for him, on the condition that he has to listen to what he has to say. Just after Karl agrees, Toadie tells him that the best he can do is pay him his wages and that's all. Karl opens his mouth to argue, but then thinks the better of it.
Steph and Boyd are walking into the garage talking about the footy. Boyd tells Stu how great the game was, and Stu reminds him that the condition he had today off is not to gloat about it. Steph spoils the result for Stu and tells him that Hird kicked a goal for the bombers after the siren winning them the game. Just as Stu begins to complain, Max and Summer arrive to pick Boyd up and offer Steph a lift. She thanks him but says that she's got her bike to ride home. She says goodbye to everyone and heads for her bike. Stu asks Boyd if he's coming in tomorrow and he looks at Max who nods. He smiles and says he'd like to. Just as the Hoylands start walking to the car they hear a screech of the breaks. Just as they turn around they see a car pulling out in front of Steph and her getting thrown off her bike. Max calls out to her and Stu runs towards her. The kids look shocked as Steph curls up on the road.
Dee is fussing over her cake and is abusing the cake decorators. Toadie and Angie are sitting on the couch rolling their eyes. Dee hangs up the phone in hysterics and complains that she has to pick up the cake and sort out her shoes as well. Toadie offers to get her shoes, but she asks him how will he know what will fit? He then offers to pick up the cake, which Dee hysterically tells him to be careful and not take any sharp turns, or break hard, or possibly even put the seatbelt over the cake. Angie offers to come along to hold the cake, hoping to escape 'Evil Dee'. She succeeds and thanks Toadie for letting her come along. He laughs and says to remember this in her will.
Steph is sitting on the side of the road with Stu and the Hoylands crowding her. Summer is hugging Steph and crying and she tells Summer that she is ok; it was just a car that wasn't watching where they were going. Steph angrily turns at Max and tells him that this guy wasn't looking because he was talking on his phone. The police are interviewing the driver as the ambulance pulls up to check Steph out. She insists that she is fine. The driver comes over to Steph and apologizes for the trouble he has caused. Max hears him and turns around to yell at the driver so furiously that Boyd has to hold him back. There is a close up of Max's face as he is looking at the driver with detest and focuses back on the ambo's checking Steph out.
Back at the Hoylands', Max asks Steph if this is the first accident she has had since she got the bike. She tells him that this is only the second and it wasn't her fault. Max looks at her and says that the accident has made him realize how much he loves her, and if anything happened... He then asks Steph if she would like to move in, but please get rid of the bike. She looks surprised and reminds him that the accident wasn't her fault and that she is a safe driver! Max hugs her and says that he knows what it is like to lose somebody and doesn't want it to happen again. Steph reminds him that she is not going anywhere, and that he's asking her to change her life; and so casually. Max smiles says, 'what do you say?'
Steph and Stu are at the garage, and Steph tells him about Max's offer and having to get rid of the bike. Afterwards Kat rings, but Stu asks her to ring him back. Steph shakes her head confused, and asks if he likes her. Stu says that he does, and all he needs to do is keep her hanging on. He then goes on to say that if he holds on long enough it will all work out. Steph rolls her eyes.
Karl and Susan are walking down Ramsay Street with Audrey, discussing the case. When Karl spots Connor, he asks why Connor puts pizza boxes and trash in their bin. Susan shakes her head at Karl arguing something so petty, but Karl declares he pays rates and has the right to his bin. Just then Toadie and Angie pull up with the cake and Karl, Susan and Connor crowd round, to have a look at this really gorgeous cake. Dee comes out then and tells Toadie to shut the lid of the cake and scold them all for having a look, because it was a surprise. They all look taken back by Dee's attitude, as she snatches the cake and heads inside. As she's walking with the cake she walks awkwardly on her heel and trips and drops the cake. They are all trying not to laugh, however are not doing a good job of it. Dee looks horrified at the remains of the cake, and runs inside with it.
When Angie and Toadie come inside, she is taking off her shoes saying that she shouldn't have worn those shoes; and it never would have happened if Toadie came back on time. Toadie says that it is fine and they can get another cake. Dee goes into hysteria and says that they cannot get another cake. Toadie picks up Dee's shoes and put them in the cake. Dee shots that they are $300, while Angie looks amused. Toadie tells her that nothing he does is enough anymore. He is sick and tired of Dee's hysteria and if she doesn't pull her head in, the wedding is off. Toadie heads down to the pub, and Dee bursts into tears.
Dee apologizes to Angie for being a nightmare the last few days. Angie says that the wedding will be fine, just as long as her and Toadie turn up. Angie confesses that when she first met Dee, she thought she was a little bit to straight laced to be a Rebbecci. Dee begins to protest... but Angie interrupts saying that she has separate gloves to clean with. Dee starts to say that she likes to keep the germs separate... but laughs and apologizes. Angie tells her things will be fine.
Toadie is telling Max and Stu about Dee, Stu laughs and says that they could make a documentary together: 'When good brides turn bad' Max smiles and says that a wedding is very hectic and is allowed to be hysterical. Dee then turns up at the pub, and the other let them have some privacy. Dee apologizes for the way she's been acting and the tells him that all she wanted was a perfect wedding; like she dreamed when she was little. Toadie smiles and apologizes for ruining her shoes. She laughs and says that Angie broke her heal walking down the aisle, so she had to do it barefoot. Toadie laughs and says 'touch wood we have better luck'. Dee smiles and tells him that she is lucky... as she has got him. They kiss.
Steph turns up at Max's place. Max greets her, but she says if the offers still available she'll take it- on the point that he'll have to drive her. Max starts to realize what she meant, and Steph confirms it, as she tells him that she has placed an ad in the paper that afternoon. Max hugs her, and Boyd and Summer come out to congratulate them.
At arbitration Cameron's lawyer is giving a talk about how much he is willing to give to the community, and because of this incident his reputation has been tarnished. When the lawyer announces that Karl should pay him compensation, Karl interrupts but is hushed bit the person in charge. The lawyer continues about a breach of contract.
Stu congratulates Steph on moving into Max's because Boyd has told him. He then jokes about Evil Kanevil hanging up the helmet. When he is joking about the garage then going broke because he won't have Steph's bike to service, Kat rings. Stu tells her that she is terribly busy, and isn't able to talk. Steph asks him why is he stringing her along, or is this a way to stay out of the single bachelors club, as he doesn't take single life well. That seems to hit home, and Stu looks a little bit offended.
After hearing what Cameron's lawyer had to say, Toadie says that Mr. Hodder's reputation hasn't been tarnished, because he hardly knows anyone and doesn't have a rejection letter to prove it. Toadie continues about Cameron being treated with respect by Karl, but Cameron interrupts saying that the only reason he was sacked is because things didn't work out with Libby. As soon as that comes out of his mouth, Cameron knows that he will not win now. His lawyer tries to take back his claim, but Toadie takes advantage of it and says that Karl is willing to pay his wages, but that is it. Cameron objects, but the lawyer says he will take it. The case is then dismissed, as Karl and Toadie shake hands, and leave Cameron to sit there with egg on his face.
Dee and Toadie toast to the win. They both begin to talk about kids and are surprised when they find out that they both agree. They start to talk about names, and Toadie jokes about calling them 'Starfish' or 'Crab boy.' They continue to talk about schools and public and private education. Dee asks when they want to start to go for children and Toadie says 'how about now?' Dee laughs, and kisses him while Toadie takes something out of his pocket to surprise her. It's a pamphlet for the wedding to be in a mansion. Toadie tells her that a couple have pulled out, and they were on the waiting list. Dee gives him a giant hug and tells him that she loves him. Dee then says that the invites will be really wrong. Toadie look at each other and go 'who cares?!' They hug each other again, chanting 'we're going to get married in a mansion!'
