Recap
Harold warning Lou about Dorothy.
Sindi begging Darcy to help her to keep Toadie
Lou is talking to Karl and Susan in the pub about Dorothy, and during the whole conversation they are both sniggering. Lou notices table 5 is impatient and tells them to excuse him, looks like he needs to crack the whip. Karl and Susan both burst out laughing. Lou demands to know what is so funny.
Darcy is giving Sindi tips on how to act around Toadie, as well as both Dee's likes and dislikes. During this conversation Darcy admits he loves Dee. Sindi is shocked and asks was it just a fling between him and her sister Penny. He reassures her that it wasn't but every relationship since Dee has felt uncompleted. She smiles and tells him that's how she feels around Toadie. Darcy then tells Sindi to go home, cause he needs to meet Dee; but she demands to know Toadie's likes and dislikes.
Karl whispers in Lou's ear about what they know about Dorothy and he looks shocked. He assures them nothing like that will happen and he will let her down gently if things get out of hand. Lou is angry at Harold for not telling him, and while Karl and Susan both tell Lou that Harold was too embarrassed to mention it, Lou grins and tells them that Harold is not going to get off lightly.
Summer pleads for Boyd's help about the paper run. Afterwards Heather enters and informs him about the formal ball. She gets out a magazine and begins to plan what they will wear and that Boyd will have to rent a suit. He looks hesitant and bored and Summer looks excited and tells Heather that they will look for a suit straight away!
Joe comes into the coffee shop and asks Harold for some lemon meringue cake with pink frosting, because Lyn is craving them. Harold smiles and tells Joe it may be an omen for things to come, as in pink meaning a girl. Joe looks frustrated and tells him that he doesn't want to know the sex of the baby.
Libby and Connor meet in the Coffee shop and she gives him some books to read. Connor thanks her and says that it will be a great challenge, and he will see how he goes. Lib looks thoughtful and says that he wants a challenge he could go back to school. Connor shakes his head saying that his boss is fine at the moment, and he wouldn't give up that full time paycheck. She asks him how the job is going with Lou and Connor shows her a list of the items they have to sell. Lib begins to laugh as she reads out the list: left handed scissors, and lots of other junk. She gives Connor the list and tells him that only Lou could sell that junk.
Lou comes into the coffee shop and sees Harold. He informs him that his date with Dorothy is tonight, and she has promised it will be life changing. Lou offers an invite to him, but he quickly turns it down. He continues to make smart comments about Dorothy and 'whips' and Harold looks worried.
Darcy lectures Sindi about Toadies likes such as Footy, Politics, Law and music. She smiles when Darcy mentions music, as she is a fan of some girl group. Darcy rolls his eyes and tells her that he meant his radio show, and if she bothered to listen to it she will find out HIS taste in music. Sindi smiles and him that Toadie will be her's in no time.
Heather leaves and Summer asks Boyd why he doesn't want to go to the formal? He tells her that it is not his scene, and Summer figures out that he can't dance. She promises to teach him but Boyd rolls his eyes and tells her that he would rather chop off his foot than take dancing lessons from her.
Next scene we see is Boyd and Summer dancing to some girl group... obviously Summer's CD. Well at least Boyd trying to dance, some jumping up and down thing (looked more like exercising to me). Then Toadie walks in and sees them dancing. He asks them to turn it down as he can hear it from his place. He leaves, but not before teasing Boyd. After Toadie does his exit Boyd looks embarrassed and tells her that now everyone will know he can't dance so it's no use. He goes to his room, and Summer continues to dance.
Connor sees Joe in the coffee shop and says hi to him. It's a pretty awkward conversation, with the occasional 'how's work? How's everyone? And in the end Connor ask how Lyn is? Joe gets angry and asks why is everyone asking... and no he doesn't know the sex of the baby!
Karl and Susan are in the coffee shop eating a meal when Lou walks in with a large bag. He walks over to them and they ask how his date was. Lou said it was great, and that she is a wonderful person... and afterwards it was very orthodox. He excuses himself as he needs to talk to Harold.
Lou goes up to Harold (and Joe is standing next to Lou) and he tells them that it was a fine night with Dorothy; a total life changing experience. Also that he had even bought back souvenirs! He shows them both what's in the bag and they stare at the contents goggle-eyed.
Toadie is running late and Sindi catches up with him. She is dressed in more stylish business clothes and offers Toadie tickets for some law hearing. Sindi apologies for her behavior, but now since they have had that talk and know where they stand with each other she can act herself. Once again apologies for acting the whole 'blonde thing' because she really liked him, and that he could take someone else to the law hearing. He says that wouldn't be fair, and is so surprised about Sindi's sudden change.
Joe goes to see Karl. Wants to know the sex of the baby, tired of everyone asking him, he wants to know... but he doesn't want Lyn to know that he knows. He asks Karl not to say anything due to 'patient confidentially' and he agrees. He once again asks if he is sure... and Joe says yes.
Sindi asks Darcy to help her with stage two of the plan. She informs him that she want to take him to some hotel that has an amazing history. Darcy thinks it is a great idea, so if he takes Dee away she can take Toadie and they can forget each other. He smiles at Sindi and tells her that she is not just some pretty face.
Susan and Libby order their food, and Harold tells Libby that she looks nice today. She thanks him and they bring the food to the table, and Susan tells her to be confident. Lib groans and tells her mother that she would balance a ball on her nose to keep Candice happy. She smiles and hopes that her outburst earlier in the week hasn't ruined Libby's chance at the position.
Heather and Summer are eating in the coffee shop and she tells Heather that Boyd can't dance. Harold overhears and starts to tell them how he used to be in that position, but he practiced an now can dance to 'the foxtrot' and lots of other dances. Summer smiles but tells him this dance will be a bit more modern, and Harold just laughs and says he could do the 'Saturday night fever' movements. He has his hands up in that pointing position (like Tony used to do on the disco-floor) and realizes how stupid he looked so excuses himself and gets back to work.
Heather is shocked when Boyd tells her he's not going to the formal. She then asks to use the phone to call someone call Liam... who was dying to go with her. Boyd tells her that he's not falling for that trick, it's just not his scene. Summer and Heather begin to talk about how hot Liam is and Boyd interrupts saying that it's not that he doesn't want to go... it's just Heather sprung it on too quick.
Karl and Susan are sitting in the pub, worrying why Libby is late. Karl hopefully suggests they are talking about her new schedule when Lib comes in and tells them that she was refused the job. The board and Candice agreed that although her progress is very good, she simply needs more experience; however some country school near Bendigo has offered her a job teaching, but she has only a few days to decide. Karl and Susan both look disappointed.
Sindi and Toadie are talking about the law hearing, and Darcy offers to buy another round of drinks. Sindi excuses herself to go to the bathroom. Toadie tells Darcy he is amazed with Sindi and she was only acting that way because she hoped the 'blonde' attitude would attract him, and was hiding her real interests. He is amazed with the 180º and confides in Darcy that he could really get used to the new Sindi.
