Medical Centre
Karl arrives back from the police station with Drew in tail. Karl can't believe that Skinner humiliated him by asking him down to the station in front of a waiting room of patients. Darcy and Drew suggest that he takes a couple of days off work, until it all dies down, but Karl can't believe they'd suggest it, claiming he has far too much paperwork to get done. Storming into his office, Darcy and Drew are left unsure what to do.
Coffee Shop
Harold and Penny are waiting out for customers in the Coffee Shop, but it would seem the rumour of food poisoning has sent everyone elsewhere. Saxon wanders in to order a take-away, shortly followed by Boyd. Harold introduces the two boys to one another, and they realise they'll be in the same class at school the next day. Boyd offers to look out for him.
Erinsborough High
Tahnee spots Nina reading her diary in the corridor, and steals the diary off Nina. Nina politely asks for it back, but Tahnee ignores her and walks off. Connor arrives to catch up with Michelle. Tahnee approaches them, and enquires as to what they are up to later. Tahnee asks if she can meet them both later. Michelle is happy to agree, but doesn't realise Connor is busy trying to avoid her.
Coffee Shop
Harold walks into the kitchen to find Penny dressed as in a bridal outfit, busy cutting up cakes. She explains how she's going to head outside to the bridal fayre to try and entice people back into the Café with heart shaped pieces of cake and free coffee vouchers. Harold isn't sure, but Penny points out that it'll be worth a try. Penny admits she wants to go and look at the bridal stuff anyway.
Erinsborough High
Nina tries to ask Tahnee for her book back, but Tahnee rudely walks off. Michelle invites Nina to sit with her in class, and they soon become an audience for the boys throwing paper at Boyd. Saxon arrives at the door, and on spotting Boyd realises he is in the right place, so goes to join his new friend.
Coffee Shop
Penny returns from her sales plug, to be greeted by Darcy. He is surprised to see her all dressed up in white, but Penny thought that perhaps, he of all people would like it.
DARCY: It might be just me, but I think the best way to kill romance is to actually get married.
Penny is amused, as Darcy continues to claim that he could never get married, but agrees to meet her after work in the park.
Erinsborough High
Connor wanders in to find Tahnee. He warns her to stay away from Michelle. She won't agree, but teases him by telling him his secret is still safe with her.
Later, Boyd spots Tahnee being suspicious around the lockers. Michelle is soon drawn in by Tahnee's story of her mother being ill, but Boyd spots it a mile off and confronts her about it. Tahnee is quick to point out Boyd's own social failures, but Saxon quickly arrives and throws a fly away insult at Tahnee, impressing the other students.
Medical Centre
Darcy has pulled Karl into his office, following an argument with a patient in the waiting room. Darcy is keen for Karl to go home, but Karl is still refusing. Darcy points out that Karl isn't helping anyone by being at the surgery, and behaving irrationally. Karl reveals he is worried about the Libby through all of this.
Erinsborough High
Saxon and Boyd chat in the corridor over school lunch politics. Boyd is busy advising him on the places to not hang out, but Saxon just wants to know where the canteen is. They spot Nina looking at a singing poster but she skidaddles as they approach her.
Coffee Shop
Penny has managed to fill the Café with half the bridal gathering. They are busy ordering coffees, but Harold is still disappointed that no one has ordered any food. Drew and Darcy watch on as Penny gets more and more excited about wedding dress catalogues. Drew teases Darcy, but Darcy honestly believes that Penny is only doing it to help the custom of the store.
Saxon arrives for another take-away, but this time Harold offers to bring over a platter of leftovers from the shop at the end of the day. Saxon claims that his mother is busy working, but agrees to Harold's offer all the same.
Lou's Place
KARL: I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know where to turn, I don't know where to look. And even if or when she comes home, is she still going to be a stranger, and be confused and scared of me. You know that don't you. You realise my own wife is scared of me.
DARCY: We will get through this alright.
KARL: I want her back; I just want my wife back.
Number 24
Saxon has come around to pick up the food, claiming his mother has had to go out. Boyd appears from the back yard and on seeing Saxon, asks him to come and see his fox. Harold gives Saxon the platter, and Saxon uses it as a quick excuse to head home, leaving Boyd disappointed.
Lassiter's Park
Penny and Darcy are taking their strole through the park. Penny admits she'd like to see Darcy in a tux, but he'd rather be wearing cricket whites. She jokes that he'd look good in white, and places the veil from her outfit over his head. Jokingly, they switch roles as he pretends to be the maiden, whilst she puts on her best male voice, to mock-propose, to which he agrees she can keep him barefoot and pregnant for the rest of his life.
Number 26
Connor would like to take Michelle on a proper date, but Michelle admits that Tahnee is coming over. She revels how Tahnee's mother is 'sick' and that she just needs a good friend. On cue, Tahnee arrives, and hands Michelle a present, an Irish book they can both read together, and share. Michelle is touched, but Connor isn't so impressed.
Lou's Place
A happy Darcy and Penny wander in to find Drew at the bar. Darcy jokes that they are now engaged, and Drew almost believed him. Penny heads over to a table whilst Darcy gets the drinks in. Drew points out to Darcy, that perhaps Penny would actually like to wed him, though it seems poor Dacy is oblivious to Penny's true feelings on the matter, laughing it off as another joke.
Darcy joins Penny at the table with their drinks; she admits that she is a little bit serious about wedding ideas.
Back at the bar, Karl returns and apologises to Drew for his comments earlier that day. Drew understands but Karl admits he shouldn't have said what he did earlier. Karl is keen not to take too much time off, but is going to finish earlier today, and see how he feels later on. He admits it's nice to feel important and part of the community, much like a mechanic does.
An awkward silence is in play at Darcy and Penny's table. Penny admits she loves him and would like to marry him. Darcy loves her too, but admits he's never thought about marriage, and he struggles to see beyond the friendship/relationship line with women. Penny asks that he at least thinks about it for a while.
