Flick's mystery man turns up on her doorstep - and she finds he's Steph's fiancé!
Number 26
Flick has cut up way too much tomato and Lyn wants her to go and enjoy herself with everyone else instead of mucking about in the kitchen. She leaves and Joe comes in, muttering about Pat boring everyone with his stories. He still isn't sure about the wedding but Lyn thinks it isn't their decision. Besides, anyone who gets their mother in law involved in the engagement ring isn't going anywhere fast. And Steph is so happy.
Joe calls the troops in and Steph tells Marc about how Flick was dying to meet him: she couldn't have kept him another day from her. Now all they need to do is find Flick her 'Mr Right'. Lyn tells them that Flick might have already met him, from what she's heard... Flick tries to change the subject. Joe says that at least she knows she'll get on okay at work when it's her future brother-in-law who's running the show. Flick is shocked at this. Joe gets them all to stand and toast the happy couple.
Number 30
Maggie has brought over some legal reading for Toadie. He apologises for how things have turned out. Maggie mentions Keith and he knows he's letting him down too. The dropping out will affect his career as well. Toadie knows she's angry and she is - angry that he put her in such a difficult position. Toadie can't say anything but sorry. But he knows that leaving is the best thing for all of them.
Number 28
Karl asks Susan to pick up a nice bottle of Shiraz from the pub for dinner. Susan thinks they can make do with what they have but that's not good enough for Karl, who's been slaving over a hot stove. He manages to convince her.
Once Susan has left Karl takes out a Polaroid camera and takes a picture of his bald spot. Susan catches him and demands to know why he's doing it. He mentions the baldness and she wonders why they're going through this again. He thinks it's a personal crisis, going bald. She pledges to support him in whatever he chooses to do. Karl would rather not go bald but it's out of his hands. Susan says her grandmother had some kind of solution - she'll look it up after dinner.
Number 26
Marc says goodnight to everyone. Joe asks his dad along fishing with him in the morning. Pat thinks they get a few beers in before they go, which Joe doesn't seem too happy about.
Steph returns and thanks her dad for spilling the beans. She was kinda happy to celebrate it all though and she's not mad at him.
Flick is cleaning and Steph expects her to say what she thinks about Marc. Flick thinks he's great and wonders if he has a brother, like a twin (he doesn't). She congratulates her.
Number 28
Karl is on the phone, looking for Elly's father. After he's hung up, without success, Susan hands him her grandmother's potion, which smells 'like a decaying corpse'. Karl manages to drink it. Susan tells him that he'll be hairy before he knows it.

Maggie takes Toadie away for a private chat. Keith is crook and needs Toadie to do the preliminary meeting with Tim on his lonesome.

Tim is outraged; he won't hold such an important meeting with an article clerk. But Toad sits down and starts the meeting, confidently. Tim won't deal with Toadie and tells him to make a coffee for him while he waits for Keith.
The Coffee Shop

Number 28
Karl is asleep. Susan sprays something onto his bald patch.
Number 26
Lyn is looking through rings with Marc. Flick comes in and Lyn wants to include her. Joe and Pat return; Pat feels a bit crook.
Lyn says to Marc how handing Steph's ring to him is like handing Steph over to him; she wants to know again how much he loves her and will look after her. Marc says he will, as Flick looks at him.
Number 30
Toadie and Maggie celebrate their success at the meeting. Maggie knows Toad is going to make a great lawyer.
TOADIE: Nice mutual appreciation club we got going, isn't it?
Maggie realises how much he's put on the line by admitting his feelings for her. Toadie doesn't know why Keith is keeping him there and how he and Maggie are going to get through this. Maggie wants them to enjoy the moment.
Number 28
Karl wonders if grandma's cure has allergens in it - his scalp is really itchy. He scratches and comes away with a hand full of hair! Susan is horrified as Karl says it's starting to burn his head. She admits that she got spray on hair from Lyn's and didn't check the ingredients. Karl tells her to stay away from him.
Then Susan gets some of Karl's 'hair' from his hand and finds it's actually bristles from a brush. Karl says it's a serious problem for him and she was making a joke of it.
Karl knows there are drugs available but they might cause impotence. However, he thinks it might be worth the risk.
Number 26
Lyn can't believe the chaos with Steph and Marc's wedding and they haven't even set a date yet! She hopes Jack will return. She thinks that it will be so great to get all the family together again. She mentions Mick and Pat says he wouldn't be within fifty yards of his son! He tells her not even to try - he won't buy it. Joe overhears this.
Number 26
Later on. Joe tells Pat to get a grip of himself - or else. Pat asks what'll happen - he'll kick him out onto the street? He gave his kids everything and this is what he gets. Joe thinks he doesn't want to know the truth:
JOE: Mick, Mum, me...we didn't know who was next in line for a kickin'.
Pat thinks it's bull - it was only ever a clip on the ear occasionally. Lyn overhears this. Joe says he was a kid who looked up to him...
Pat notices Lyn's presence and makes a joke about Joe not being a big cry baby like he was as a kid. Joe tells him to get out.
Lyn throws her arms around her husband, telling him she loves him.
