Flick announces that life isn't fair because Paul has to move away to get what he wants but Joe adds that Paul wouldn't see it like that. This then develops into a general discussion of Flick's future - the fact she hasn't got a good enough mark to do what she really wants to do (PR) and seems resigned to following in her mother's footsteps and becoming a hairdresser. Lyn doesn't think that is a bad career especially as it has kept the family going at times.

Harold and Lou return home from saying goodbye to Paul to see how Drew is going on building a cot for the baby. He thanks Harold for letting him build it somewhere Libby wouldn't see and thus spoil the surprise. Harold asks how Libby is doing and Drew replies that he'll be happy when the baby arrives so he can relax knowing both are well. Lou sadly tells Drew that there is nothing like holding your child in your arms for the first time.

We move to over to the Kennedys to find Susan trying to get hold of her sister on the phone to tell her that Elly can't live with them while Karl tries to get to grip with a flat pack. Like most of us he tries to blame the dodgy instructions for failing to put whatever it is together and Susan tells him that he should have purchased a ready built one but Karl replies that would have cost $20 to deliver. Susan points out that it would have been cheaper than the $200 he'll have to shell out again once he's wrecked whatever it is he is trying to construct.
The phone rings again and Susan tells Karl that if it is Liz then she wants to speak to her sister. Turns out it is Serena wanting some info from Karl and Susan isn't impressed. She isn't thrilled either to hear Karl tell her that Darcy and himself made a great decision in hiring her because she's enthusiastic and very keen to impress.

Joe and Lyn are trying to persuade Flick on other possibilities to get into PR but she doesn't like their suggestions. Mitch and Steph arrive and the atmosphere goes decidedly frosty. Much to Lyn's relief, he turns down Steph's offer to stay for supper but accepts a coffee instead.

Lou wants Harold's help in picking a venue to visit with Lolly but Harold tells him to just enjoy their time together. Lou then admits that there is nothing Harold can say that can make him fell any better about Lolly leaving.

We can now start to see what the flat pack Karl is trying to build - a cot. However, first he blamed the dodgy instructions for struggling to build it, now it's the construction materials, or more specifically the screw doesn't fit into the hole! A knock at the door interrupts him and he tells Susan not to answer it until he's covered it up. Luckily he said that because guess who's at the door - yes you've guessed it Drew! After stalling him for a few seconds, Susan lets Drew & Audrey in (he's round to drop the dog off). The three of them discuss how safe it is for Libby to travel so late in her pregnancy but Drew assures them that Libby will be fine - famous last words me thinks!
Drew then spots the covered up cot but Karl quickly says it is just rubbish that they are throwing out. Drew is onto him though as he notices the tools Karl has been using and asks if they are being thrown out too. Karl is struggling for words and Susan comes to his rescue to say that the tools are out so Karl can dismantle the camcorder!

Mitch and Steph drink their coffee in the livingroom while talking about planning a trip away as Lyn comes through to say that supper is ready. Steph again asks him to stay and again he turns her down saying he has to go (to annoy Lyn he says it's because he's got a robbery planned) but Steph tells him to hang on for a sec as she has some maps to give him. While Steph is getting the maps, Lyn makes it abundantly clear to Mitch that not only does she not like him but that he's no good for Steph either. He thinks it is because he has been inside and while Lyn confirms that is partially true it is also because she thinks Steph is propping him up while he rebuilds his life and thinks Steph could do better. Mitch tells her that he cares about Steph and thinks the feeling is mutual but Lyn replies back that she thinks Steph still cares about Woody and as far as she is concerned, Mitch is just a substitute.
MITCH: Don't believe in mincing words do you?
LYN: Not where one of mine is concerned.
Mitch asks why she is so down on her before reminding her that he's served his time and that he wouldn't do anything to hurt Steph or her family. He then adds that he helped Joe out but Lyn says that Joe would prefer someone not using strong arm tactics on his behalf.
LYN: If you really cared for Stephanie Mitch, you'd get out of her life.
As we return from the commercial break you could just about cut the atmosphere with a knife, which Steph picks up on when she comes back with the maps for Mitch. Mitch lies and says that Lyn is upset about him holding up dinner and so he picks up his things and kisses Steph before leaving.
With Mitch out the house, Steph asks what all that was about and isn't impressed one little bit when Lyn tells her that she told Mitch to stay out of her life. Naturally Steph wants to know why she said that and Lyn replies that she thought she was doing the best for her. "And how would you know what that is mum," replies Steph before she asks what is it that she really feels then?
LYN: What do you feel Steph? I mean are you in love with him or is he just the nearest thing to Woody you could find?
Steph tells her that she wants Mitch in her life and that Lyn has no right to force Mitch to get out of her life before adding that Lyn can't live her life for her as she has to make her own mistakes.
LYN: You're getting pretty good at doing that girl.
The Coffee Shop (next day)
The smartly dressed Harold spots Lou and Lolly at the counter and explains why he's dressed up smartly - he's off to see the Mayor. Lou then takes the chance to apologise for last night and Harold says there is no reason to. The two of them discuss the renaming of Ramsay Street or not if Harold has his way!

Joe comments to Lyn as she enters the kitchen if she is alright now as she tossed and turned all night. Flick wants to know what's up and Lyn admits that she shouldn't have been so blunt to Mitch last night. Joe says that is the only way to get through to some people before adding that he doesn't see what Steph sees in Mitch anyway. "Anyone we bring home isn't going to be good enough for your daughters," replies Flick. Lyn says that she feels if anything, now she's pushed the two of them together. Flick asks why they are getting upset anyway as Mitch seems fine to her.
LYN: For heaven's sake Flick, he's a criminal!
Lyn certainly picked the wrong time to say that as Steph arrived in the kitchen to hear that and tells everyone that she is going out and doesn't know when she'll be back. Lyn tries to go after her but Joe tells her not to and says that they can't protect Steph until she wants to be protected.

Karl ignores the ringing phone as he is still trying to build the cot, so Susan answers it. She isn't pleased to find that it is Serena calling for Karl on his day off and politely tells her to ask Darcy before hanging up on her! Karl has a go at her for hanging up abruptly and thinks her bad mood is due to Liz wanting to dump Elly and admits he wouldn't mind having a teenager about the place again.
Garage
Drew informs Mitch that he can't carry out the repairs on the bike as the parts haven't arrived yet but as soon as they do he'll repair the bike. Steph is chomping at the bit to take off as she is still in a bad mood over what happened with her olds earlier and misinterprets a remark Drew makes (as long as they both know what they are doing) until he explains what he really meant - if they are happy then that is all that matters. Steph wants them to get on with their bike ride and Mitch reluctantly gets onto the back of Steph's bike and they take off.

Karl proudly shows off the completed cot for his grandchild. Susan says he's made a good job before asking when he is taking down the camera because she might see something she isn't supposed to see. Karl is a bit bemused about this and Susan goes all quiet on him. Karl then comments on the funny mood she has been in and wonders if it is to do with him but Susan stay silent.
Susan has obviously confessed all that is bothering her during the commercial break and Karl tells her it is all in her imagination as far as he is concerned. Eventually we find out what's been bugging Susan - Serena! Karl assures her he loves her and would never let anything like that happen again (presumably speaking about Sarah). Susan obviously takes his word for it and hugs him but their hug is interrupted by someone knocking at the door.
Drew is the visitor but Susan doesn't let him enter in case he sees the newly built cot.

Harold is back from seeing the Mayor and things haven't gone well, so he's taken the law into his own hands and taken down the 'Ramsbottom Street' sign! Lou has a laugh as he can't believe Harold would break the law in removing the sign. He then asks if the sign is replaced would the replacement be taken down too and Harold replies yes because it is something he feels very strongly about. Lou jokingly tells Lolly that Harold will be appearing on Australia's most wanted again! Harold asks Lou and Lolly not to say what he has done/is planning to do and enquires about what sort of day they had. Lou replies that they had a great day before adding that it doesn't happen often enough.
The Coffee Shop
Mitch asks Steph if she's feeling any better following their bike ride and she says yes but wishes they could have kept going. Mitch replies back that it wouldn't look good to her parents when he's trying to convince them that he isn't the big bad wolf. Steph says that he shouldn't need to convince them and she is a bit stunned when Mitch says that he'll never be good enough for her. She tells him that is crazy and that she enjoys being together with him before adding that she wants to be with him. Mitch replies back that he feels the same way and invites Steph to accompany him to a friends wedding he is attending in Sydney.

Harold, Lou and Lolly finish their meal and Lou says he'll help with the dishes before having to talk Lolly home. Harold asks her how her new home is and Lolly replies that she hasn't seen it yet. Both are a bit puzzled by this and Lolly tells them that they are moving to the countryside!

Steph has obviously accepted Mitch's suggestion of going to Sydney for the wedding as she hurries to get her things together because they want to leave before running into Joe & Lyn. Mitch goes to use the bathroom while Steph leaves a note to her parents explaining where she is when a knock at the door interrupts her. Steph shouts out to Mitch that it is probably just one of the neighbours and will get rid of whoever it is but she looks stunned at whoever has called but sadly the credits come up and we have to tune into the next episode to find out who's there.
