Emily is disappointed that she's still got a long way to grow before she's taller than Leo. Maggie tells her that she'll be bigger than her one day. She asks the two of them what they want to do the next day, as she has the day off, but Leo tells her that he's busy with friends, before showing off a trick, where he wiggles his arm.

Susan is shocked to realise that Karl arranged it all without discussing it with her first, but Karl doesn't see what the issue is, as Susan would've only started arguing with her.
Number 26
Joe gets off the phone, from what has been a rather heated conversation; one of the guys he's done work for is still not paying up. Steph offers Lyn some of the money she's got saved away to cover the insurance costs, but Lyn tells her not to worry just yet and heads to bed. Mitch wonders if he'll be able to do anything to help, as Steph gets them each a nightcap.
Libby and Drew's Flat
Arriving back, Libby asks Drew what really happened between him and Scotty. Drew tells her that when he was fifteen, he went out with some friends, pig shooting, in the bush. He fell over and his gun went off, shooting Scotty in the leg. They weren't able to get help quick enough. Libby tells him he shouldn't blame himself as it was an accident, but Drew doesn't feel that way. He was the eldest and should've been looking out for them all, he shouldn't have had his gun cocked, he should have got help sooner, they shouldn't have been out there in the first place.
Number 26
Lyn and Joe wonder if Steph and Mitch are actually going to get together or not, but Steph wakes up. She tells them she's going for a ride with Mitch, but isn't sure if she wants to go or not, and hopes to go shopping instead. Joe goes to answer the phone as Mitch arrives. Steph tells him, that she's going to go and look for a price for her bike to help out her parents, but as Joe gets off the phone, it appears there is no longer a need; Vic has agreed to pay up. Lyn feels bad for what she said about him last night, but Joe isn't so sure about it, given Vic's attitude; it sounded like he was being pressured into paying up.
Steph and Mitch set off for their ride, leaving Joe and Lyn to ponder over Vic. They wonder if Mitch has anything to do with it, and Lyn is nervous about Steph spending the entire day with him, especially given that his knuckles were grazed, and not the night before.

Libby asks how Susan is.
KARL: No, she's used up all that energy, being angry with me for organising things without consulting her. You know your mother.
LIBBY: Yeah, well!
DREW: Ah, like mother, like daughter.
KARL: Exactly

She tells them the meeting will probably be heated, just like the current situation Lyn feels between her and Steph regarding Mitch. Maggie goes to find Emily, who slowly appears from around the door. She tells Maggie she tried to wash Bob, but she didn't use shampoo, only blue dye! Blue Bob makes his first appearance!

Drew leaves; leaving Lou wondering if it's a good idea to go through with it or not.
Number 28
Liz has arrived and it's not going too well. She comments about Susan's hair and how she's keeping it long instead of joining the rest of them in the current fashion. LIZ: Your Billy was a bit of a dunce at school, how did he turn out?
SUSAN: He turned out just fine, thanks Liz, and Billy was never a dunce!
They start bickering with each other. Liz tries to change the subject by asking about Karl, but that too starts to turn sour with insults beginning to fly. Liz decides to drop the question she came over to ask; if Susan could look after Ellie while Liz goes to Sweden for a six month contract. She tells Susan that Ellie was expelled from her last school for smoking (and no, it wasn't tobacco). Liz complains that she's not cut out for parenting like Susan is, but Susan reminds her that she had to work at it as well.
Liz starts telling Susan of Ellie's current position in school, and how she's always the class clown. Susan mentions that Toadie was like that, but now training to be a lawyer. Liz hopes that there's still some hope in Ellie turning out like that. She asks 'Susie' if she'll say yes to having Ellie to stay. Susan says she'll have to talk to Karl about it first. Liz asks how she and Karl are, after the spot of bother they had a few years ago; Carmel told her. Susan informs Liz that she and Karl are just fine.

He tells Susan it'll be like having ten Jess Fielding's around the place, and they'll end up fighting not only at school, but at home too. He asks if she said 'yes', but Susan tells her she didn't. He tells her that the only answer they can give Liz is a 'no'.

Lyn isn't impressed and asks Steph if Mitch is a replacement for Woody. Steph denies it, but Lyn doesn't agree, telling Steph that if it wasn't for Woody she would be going out with Mitch.
LYN: He's gonna break your heart, Stephie, he's going to break your heart.
