Lou coming round to talk to Phil.
Phil invites Lou in and they idly chat about the power problems before getting down to the real stuff. They twig that Ruth has set them up and chat generally about the move before having a beer.
Karl has come round to see the footy just as the generator gives up. They all say a collective "damn."
Phil is telling Lou about the Scully's who are buying the house when a "shocked" Ruth comes home "surprised" to see Lou. She wonders if they've been fighting when Toadie burst in demanding Lou sort the generator. When they leave, Phil thanks Ruth but tells her he is unsure if they will get their true friendship back again.
Lou is sneakily trying to take the rubbish out of the Martin's bin when a bemused Phil comes out. They spot Karl about to leave on his bike and start to rib him about his "well seen" outfit. Billy and Joel arrive and they wonder how serious Toadie is about Charlie.

Joel is still angry and resentful and wonders what will happen when they are properly introduced. Natalie now tries to say that Joel's appearance at TCS threw her and she spoke before thinking and she was trying to protect Liam. She apologises and Joel accepts it.
It's a ye olde fashioned battle re-enactment. Toadie is very impressed, Charlie less so, so Toby offers to get them tuition from Chris.
Karl is back from his bike ride boasting how far he's cycled but Billy couldn't care less and even less so when Karl realises he's got to take a cold shower. He wants to know what's up and challenges him to a bike ride, which Billy accepts ... as long as he doesn't have to wear Lycra.
Charlie and Toadie now do their version of ye olde fashioned battle and Charlie wins. Toadie tells her he finds it all sexy, as a sly way of asking her out.
Phil has come back to get the prognosis on the car from Lou when they spot Billy and Karl on their bike challenge (Billy is coasting it in front). Bad news on the car front, it needs more work and Lou offers him to take the car elsewhere for repair but Phil is quite happy for it to be carried out at the garage.
Billy is gloating about his win telling Karl to give it up ... including how far he has actually cycled today. Karl isn't taking the loss well and Billy suggests it's a mid-life crisis instead. Billy leave and Phil joins Karl, again having a joke at him. Phil tells him that he's glad that he and Susan have repaired their marriage before they leave for Darwin.
Toadie is sorting out the rent money but Joel is $20 short. Natalie offers him the money, which he isn't comfortable about accepting. Natalie then says she has to go and as she is leaving a glum looking Charlie enters so Joel decides to leave too. Charlie enters the kitchen and Toadie wonders what is wrong. She tells him that Rupert is refusing to move out and so she can't go back, then asks if she can stay.
