Erinsborough Hospital
Susan and Ruth are in the waiting room. Karl comes to tell them that Pinhead is being treated but they don't really know his condition yet.

No.30
Sarah is looking for her keys. She wants to go shopping because she's going to a charity dinner with Alex. Tad asks if he can come shopping with her. She agrees as long as he doesn't come near the changing room. Tad gives her her keys. Tad thanks Sarah for sticking up with him over the Lou's money incident.
Toadie comes in and says that someone has stolen his car.

Kennedys
Susan is on the phone to Libby. She has done a bit of reading and is enjoying the peace and quiet. Karl comes in and then Ruth. Karl tells them that Pinhead is stable but still unconscious.
Susan shows Ruth her new outfit for the dinner tomorrow night. It is a hideous multi-coloured jacket. Karl asks if she got a red nose to go with it(!). Karl says that he forgot to tell her that she was invited.
When Ruth has gone Susan berates Karl. He says he's glad Ruth isn't going because they haven't been getting on recently(!).

The Coffee Shop
Sarah and Tad are having coffee. Amy comes in and Sarah shows her what she bought - the same hideous multi-coloured jacket that Susan bought(!). Sarah says her and Alex are going as friends. Tad is pleased to hear that Amy has split up with Lance and says they could get together some time(!).

Martins
Ruth is incensed at Karl's attitude. Phil tells her not to let it get to her.

Ramsay Street
Tad is walking Bob while Toadie picks up the paper. Karl comes up and tells them about Pinhead's accident. Toadie tells Karl about his car being stolen. Karl offers Toadie a lift to the hospital to see Pinhead. Tad says maybe it was Toadie's fault for rowing with Pinhead.

Martins
Ruth unwraps a present from her father - an old watch which belonged to her grandfather. Apparently Ruth's mother is sorting out her personal possessions. Ruth hopes there isn't something they're not telling her.

No.30
Toadie is telling Sarah about Pinhead's accident. Lou comes in. Toadie says he can't come in without 24 hours' notice. Lou says he's willing to negotiate. He'll bring the rent down as long as he brings the rent back down. They agree on a 10% rent increase. Toadie wants a 25% pay increase for the staff though. Lou can't agree and leaves.

Hospital
Ruth is at the hospital to visit Pinhead, who is out of intensive care. Ruth says she's managed to get a ticket for the dinner tonight.

The Pub
All the staff are still refusing to work and Lou is run off his feet. He agrees to a 5% rent rise and a 10% pay rise. Toadie says he'll have to put it to the members of his union and also they want a pay review in twelve months!

The Coffee Shop
Ruth is telling Susan that she is coming to the dinner and she knows that Karl isn't happy. Amy comes up and asks if Lance has a suit - she wants to ask if he'll come to her cousin's wedding tomorrow.

A road
Toadie, Tad and Sarah are walking home. Toadie suddenly sees his car and runs up to it. It has some scrapes at the front. Sarah says they should tell the police. Tad starts to hot-wire the car. Sarah says Tad is breaking the law. Toadie says that Sarah is right and pulls Tad out of the car. Toadie then starts to hot-wire it himself(!).

Martins
Ruth is on the phone to someone and talking to them angrily. She tells Phil she was talking to her mother. They talk about the dinner and Phil says she shouldn't let Karl intimidate her. There's a knock at the door and it's Amy. Susan and Karl arrive. Amy realises that Susan and Sarah have bought the same jacket. She tells Susan that she's seen someone with the same outfit. Susan doesn't grasp that it's someone who's going to the dinner too.

No.30
Amy runs up and knocks on the door, but Sarah isn't there.

The Garage
Toadie drives up in his car. Lou asks him what happened. He says he doesn't want to repair his car after all the negotiation, but then he congratulates Toadie on his nerve(!). Lou says he can represent him in court any day once he's qualified!

The Pub
Phil, Ruth, Susan and Karl are having drinks. Phil tells Ruth if she's worried about her mum she should book another flight to Broome to see her. They go out to an outside table and Sarah walks past wearing the multi-coloured jacket - Ruth is horrified. Sarah goes into the pub. Unfortunately Karl thinks she's Susan from the back and creeps up and kisses Sarah on the cheek! Susan is not pleased.
