Carol doing Lou's audit
Sarah telling Matt not to take the new job and to stay.
Wilkinsons'
Lance is on the phone to Amy telling her about the new games console he bought. Hannah and Claire knock on the door and come in to play on it. Lance is trying to calm Amy down as she's still annoyed over the anniversary present. He goes to watch the girls play the games and asks what they thought of Amy's present. Claire tells him it was rubbish and she 'll take him shopping to get a better one.
Lou's
Lou is telling Carol that he'd like to go out for a meal sometime. She is reluctant to go because of the business relationship, but he insists. She eventually agrees, so Lou looks very pleased with himself. Marlene comes in and the tax lady leaves. Lou tells Marlene about the date, she looks stunned.
Lou's Place
Matt and Ben are talking about Sarah and why she is in such a mood. Matt tells him that she is not cut out for life in the country, which is where his new job will take him as she is more of a city girl. He tells Ben he is thinking about giving the job up to stay with Sarah.
Wilkinsons'
Claire and Hannah say that they're bored with the games console now. Lance asks them how much money he should take tomorrow. Hannah starts to moan about the rule Phil has given her over her money and how she spends it.
Sarah's
Sarah is saying bye to Matt before he goes to work. When he leaves, Ben and Sarah talk about how happy she is that Matt is staying. Ben looks worried and says that he thinks Ben is the one making all the sacrifices and it's not fair. Sarah gets upset and walks out.
Bishops'
Hannah and Claire are looking at clothes catalogues at the kitchen table, Hannah is still worried about the rule but Claire is doing her best to convince her to spend her money. Harold and Madge come in bickering over a movie they've just seen. Madge liked it and Harold didn't. Hannah leaves and Harold tells Claire that he is glad she and Hannah are friends.
Lou's Pub
Lou' and Carol are having dinner. He is trying to persuade her to have dessert. He gets up to change the song on the juke box, and she tells him that he didn't put the jukebox down on his taxes. He points it out and she's surprised at how little he's allocated - surely the jukebox pulls in more than that. He explains how Toadie, Lance and Hannah are in charge and take most of the profits and she's satisfied by his answer and apologises for having her tax brain on.
Martins'
Lance has come to pick Claire and Hannah up to go shopping. Hannah goes to say bye to Phil and tells him she is just going to 'hang out', He kisses her goodbye when Lou comes in. He tells him about the date and how well it went, but then tells him what happened over the juke box.
Sarah's
Sarah asks Matt what he wants for lunch. He is very distant with her, so she asks him what's up. When she asks him if it is the job that's bothering him, he is very short with her and tells her it's not. She leaves.
Shops
Claire is looking around at the clothes. Hannah has picked up an outfit that she really likes and Claire persuades her to buy it. She takes Lance over to the watches and shows him the one which would be a perfect present. He says it's nice, but also a nice price, then buys it.
Sarah's
Matt and Sarah had just had lunch. She asks him about the job again. He admits that he is upset. She tells him to go and he asks about them. She tells him that they can have a long distance relationship, and he agrees. Ben comes in but doesn't look convinced.
Bishops'
Lance is having doubts about the watch he bought but the girls tell him it's fine. Hannah and Claire go to try on their new clothes while Lance sees himself out.
Martins'
Phil comes in while Hannah's wearing her new outfit. He looks annoyed until Claire quickly jumps in and tells him that she bought it for her. Claire leaves and Phil says it's a nice offer, and it's a good job she didn't spend her money because she, Lance and Toadie have to pay tax on the juke box. Hannah is almost a shade of green.
