Jen is studying by torchlight, but then Cody manages to change the fuse. She tells Stonie to go away and leave them alone.

Hannah is moping on the sofa and Helen asks Phil what's wrong with her and he says she's moping about about a pop star called Dale. Lucy offers to have a girly chat with her. Phil comments on how unpredicatable Hannah is these days.
In the living room, Lucy tells Hannah that she knows what she's going through - she used to like Duran Duran and Aha. That's clearly not what's worrying Hannah though.
No.30
Luke and Jen are planning their dinner party for tomorrow night. Ren isn't too keen and reminds him that she and Luke were meant to be going out to dinner tomorrow. He says she can just come to the dinner party instead!
No.26, the following morning
Phil and Lucy chat about Hannah and Lucy says she just needs a bit of space. Hannah comes in and stomps around in a bad mood.

Luke gets up to find Ren in the living room watching TV. She's clearly still upset about him cancelling their date. Luke reminds her that they decided to "take things cool" and before they can discuss it further, Mark comes in and offers to cook the food for the dinner party.

Helen goes into the laundry and finds soiled clothing belonging to Hannah in the sink, and realises what is the matter with Hannah.
HELEN: She's having her first period, Philip. Our little girl's growing up.
Coffee Shop
Stonie is moping over a milkshake and Mark invites him to the dinner party to cheer him up. Sam comes in and tells Stonie that he thinks Cody and Jen treated him rather badly last night. Stonie moans that Cody should have stayed with Rick, but Sam tells him to just talk to Cody.
Garden of Number 30
Luke is reading up on "Controversial Facts and Figures" for the party so he can start a good debate if the party goes quiet!
The Office
Helen has brought Sid to the surgery and chats to Cody while she's waiting for him - she's not sure he's fit to be on his own as he's always cutting himself. Helen is surprised to learn that Sid has a daughter.
The Rotunda
Stonie is studying. Cody comes up and has a chat with him. She apologises for last night - she was just stressed out. She suggests they reorganise their schedules so they can study and spend time together.

Phil comes in with some flowers for Hannah. She is rather surprised.
HANNAH: What are they for?
PHIL: Just...to congratulate you on becoming a woman.
Hannah asks him how he knows (which is a very calm reaction, I would have died). Phil suggests they have a little chat.
Coffee Shop
Helen asks Sid about his daughter and he says he's in touch with her, but he doesn't want her looking after him, she's got her own life and he won't be a burden to her. He's worried he'll put a strain on her marriage if he moved in with her permanently.

Luke's dinner party is in full swing. Most of the young people from Ramsay Street are there. Ren tells them that she was a kitchen hand in Africa in a past life(!) Luke starts asking controversial questions about suicide and everyone gets a bit uncomfortable.
No.26
Hannah tells Phil that she feels a bit yukky. She's surprised that Phil isn't dying of embarrassment talking about periods but he says it's not as hard as he expected. Phil suggests a special "grown-up dinner" at Chez Chez to celebrate. (Celebrate?!?!?)
No.30
Luke is still asking controversial questions and people are starting to get angry, particularly Mark and Annalise. Ren and Cody get into an argument about reincarnation.
The Pub
Hannah and Phil are having dinner and talking about how periods are a milestone in your life. Hannah is kind of awed that she is able to have a baby now and Phil looks a bit worried(!)
HANNAH: There's something else. I miss Mum all the time. But you do a really good job filling in for her. I reckon she'd be pretty pleased with the way you're handling things.

Jo is trying to serve dessert, but everyone is too busy arguing. Annalise ends up storming out and Sam follows her. Lucy and Jo are sulking.

Annalise is very upset about Luke's behaviour, but Sam reckons he was deliberately stirring to liven up the party.
No.30
Jo tells Luke that things have gone far enough and Jen realises what's going on. She tells Luke off for insulting and provoking everyone by attacking their personal beliefs. She storms out, followed by everyone else, even those who live in No.30(!)
When they've gone, Jo says she doesn't think anyone is still talking to Luke.
