Recap
Brett tells Stonefish he's sorry about the school captain stuff.
Ren thinks Mal has the hots for Bianca.
Cody tells Brett that Stonefish has had an accident on his bike.
Number 32
Libby is dying in the heat and can't believe Mal is preparing to go out for a jog.
Brett comes round to tell them that Stonefish has had an accident on his bike and fractured a few ribs. Brett is feeling very guilty about the school captain stuff - he thinks Stonefish was distracted and that's why he came off his bike. Libby and Mal try to reassure him - accidents happen and Stonie has to take responsibility for himself.
Number 24
Marlene is opening her mailorder stuff while Helen, Sam and Gemma look on excitedly but they are not impressed with the rubbish Marlene has ordered! Marlene feels another object in the bottom of the box, but Sam quickly snatches the box saying it's something for him and takes it off to his bedroom.
Cheryl and Lou's
Cheryl is lying by the fridge with the door open trying to cool down(!) Lou makes her a cool drink and tells her about the radio station looking for foreign language presenters. He's put Ling-Mai down for Cantonese. He's also invited her for dinner tonight so he can tell her the good news. Lou suggests that Cheryl has a cool spa instead of wasting the fridge electricity(!)
Number 30, by the pool.
Bianca is quizzing Sam about the object in the box, but he won't tell. Mal comes up and invites Bianca to go for a run, but she says it's too hot.
Sam finally relents and agrees to tell her what was in the box!
Lou and Cheryl's spa
Brett comes to ask Lou and Cheryl for advice, but they're in a giggly mood and are no help at all.
Number 28
Sam is showing Bianca his item - a lounge chair for the pool that you blow up (what was the big secret??)
No.30 - inside
Cody tells Ren about Stonie's bike accident and she's shocked. They suggest that they take him out somewhere cool to cheer him up.
Kennedys
Mal comes in very sweaty. Libby tells him off - it's only a fun run, he's taking it too seriously. She wants to know who he's trying to prove himself to and suggests he's trying to impress Bianca. Mal covers this up and claims he's trying to prove himself to Sam! Libby smiles knowingly.
Number 30, by the pool
Mark tells Marlene and Helen about Father Michael's plans for a fundraiser for the youth centre - for helping underprivileged kids. Marlene tells them that Erinsborough Council is going to cover the cost of the rent as a community service - now they just need someone to cover the running costs. Marlene offers to help with a sale as long as she can do the bric-a-brac! Mark rushes straight off to talk it over with Father Michael.
Sam comes up with the floating lounge chair to use in the pool. Sam puts it in the pool and suggests that Marlene could lie on it. She says she wants Sam to test it out first. He jumps on it and promptly falls into the pool!
Lou and Cheryl's
Cheryl is now out of the spa and she and Lou are talking Stonie's accident over with Brett. He still feels guilty, but Cheryl says he's not responsible for the accident.
At that moment, Ling-Mai arrives and Lou tells her about putting her down to be a foreign-language radio presenter. Ling-Mai says she's too busy.
Number 32
Brett approaches the door with aletter of apology for Stonie. He slips it under the door and makes a break for it.
Coffee Shop
Stonie and Cody are having milkshakes - Stonie's arm is in a sling and he can barely pick up his milkshake. Apparently Angie isn't impressed about Stonie's accident - she thinks he wa drunk(!). Stonie says that he was upset about the whole school captain thing and that's what made him fall.
Lou and Cheryl's
Cheryl, Lou and Ling-Mai are washing up. Lou suggests a trip to the beach, but Ling-Mai says she doesn't like the beach. She admits that she can't swim and Lou offers to teach her. Ling-Mai doesn't look very keen but doesn't say anything in the face of Lou's enthusiasm.
Coffee Shop
Stonie is showing Cody Brett's letter and claims it's insincere. Cody says that Brett is genuinely sorry and she still thinks that Stonie should run for school captain anyway. She tells him to go for it, but he doesn't think he's got a chance. Stonie says he's going to campaign for a new candidate - Brett!
Marlene's Bric-a-brac Shop
Marlene and Bianca are stocktaking and listening to Radio Erinsborough. Marlene tells Bianca that they've got too much stock and suggests a Summer Sale. She shows Biance how to slash prices - you put the original price way up and then pretend it's been slashed, but it still ends up at its original price(!)
Martins
Cody is off to the beach with Rick. She's fed up of Rick being at odds with her other friends. Helen encourages her to persevere.
Lou and Cheryl's
Lou is enthusing about teaching Ling-Mai to swim, but Cheryl thinks that Lou is smothering her.
Stonie calls round to see Brett. He apologises again for what happened and Stonie tells him to shut up. He says they're still going through with the school captain campaign, but Brett will be the candidate. Brett is horrified, saying he's not cut out for it, but Stonie won't take no for an answer.
Marlene's Bric-a-brac shop
Marlene and Bianca are marking up the stock for a sale. Bianca finds a book with a hollow inside - they struggle to open it and inside they find some expensive-looking jewellery.
