Recap
- Sam tells Bianca that Squirrel says he got her pregnant, but he didn't even sleep with her. He doesn't think anyone will believe him.
- Mark apologises Annalise for dumping her at the altar, and reveals that he's done it because he wants to be a priest.
- Lou reveals that he's not having an affair; he was seeing his daughter.
Number 24
Annalise is upset and can't believe Mark left it until they were in the middle of the wedding to say something. Marlene thinks he might be changing his mind as they speak. Elliot invites Annalise away with him to a poetry festival in Adelaide, to get her away from town. He leaves her to think about it.
Marlene and Ren tell Annalise that she needs to get out of her wedding dress. Annalise thinks she won't be able to look at a wedding dress again without feeling sick. Annalise is upset and annoyed, and wants to confront Mark. Ren and Marlene talk her out of it.
Number 22
Lou tells Cheryl, Brett and Danni the full story over his daughter, Ling Mai. He was 21 and overseas on his first holiday in Hong Kong. He got food poisoning and Sue, Ling Mai's mother, took pity on him. They had some wild nights together, and fell in love. Lou had to come back to Australia for work and Sue wanted to stay with her family...and mixed marriages were frowned upon anyway.
Lou said it broke his heart to leave Sue, and he was completely unaware of the existence of Ling Mai until he received his letter. He tells them that's the end of the story. Cheryl believes him, but doesn't understand why he didn't tell them that right from the start! Lou is very defensive, and says that he had his reasons - and the Starks were all too busy thinking the worst of him, and now they're disappointed that they're wrong. He walks off.
Sam's Office
Sam tells Bianca about the disastrous Year 12 break up party where he was a chaperone. He mentions his argument with Ren, and how he didn't notice Lenny and Packo spiking the punch. Apparently Squirrel hung around at the end of the night, and how sad and depressed he was.
He insists that nothing happened between him and Squirrel. Bianca isn't convinced - but he is positive nothing happened, and he doesn't understand what Squirrel is playing at. Bianca thinks he needs to talk to Squirrel before it's too late to do anything about the baby.
Bianca says she's moving out tomorrow.
Sam's Office - Next Day
Bianca is ready to leave. She calls him gutless for not going to see Squirrel. She wants him to tell Marlene, but Sam doesn't want to - Bianca guesses it's because he doesn't want Annalise to know what's happened with Squirrel.
Squirrel knocks and enters. Bianca leaves. Squirrel tells Sam that they need to talk about them and their future.
Number 30
Annalise has arrived to see Mark. She's hurt, shocked and angry at what he did at the wedding. He apologises, and says that he'll always love her - but as a person. It's clear he still feels sexually attracted to Annalise, but the conversion to Catholicism wasn't enough; he has to become a priest.
He wants to remain friends, but Annalise can't believe his attitude - he smashed her dreams, humiliated her in public in front of all of her friends and then wants to stay mates! She tells him that she doesn't want to see him again and walks out.
Sam's Office
Sam and Squirrel are arguing about whether they slept together or not. Squirrel reckons that night was the most special night of her life, and she can't believe Sam can't remember it. He reckons he does remember it - and that's why he knows he's not the father. She cries and runs out.
Ramsay Street
Rick is bowling overs to Cody, whilst whinging about Lassiter's. Lou comes out to walk Suede Tess and he's in a foul mood. Rick whinges that he's sick of bowling, so Cody gives him an easy catch so he can bat. He reckons he's going to be brilliant, but he misses the ball - and Cody tells him that the ball going behind the wicket is an automatic out. They bicker and joke around.
Number 30
Ren quizzes Mark about what he's done. He's hurting but as a priest, his life will have a purpose - a direction. Ren suggests joining a charity group or becoming a volunteer overseas, so he can still marry Annalise. Mark is insistent that he has to become a priest. He is utterly convinced by his faith.
Number 22
Brett and Danni are discussing Lou and Ling Mai. Danni is very down on Lou, whilst Brett is supportive. Lou overhears the conversation and when Danni kicks off on him, he gets very annoyed. Lou storms off outside to speak to Cheryl.
Number 22 - Garden
Lou has a go at Cheryl - he tells her that Danni seems to think that Ling Mai was the product of a sordid little adventure with a Suzie Wong, and wonders if she thinks the same. Cheryl doesn't know - but she knows she can't trust him after his behaviour over the last few months. Lou thinks they should have it out once and for all, and they go inside.
Number 24
Annalise and Marlene are talking about Mark. Elliot comes over and wants to see if Annalise wants to go to Adelaide. She agrees and wants to go over and show Mark who she's going away with!
Lassiter's Complex
Brett and Danni are arguing over whether they should give Lou another chance. Brett thinks they should keep out of it but Danni thinks that he's upset Cheryl and that's unforgivable. They run into Squirrel and Brett leaves her to talk to Danni.
Squirrel tells Danni the problem is Sam and makes her promise that she won't tell anyone her secret. Danni promises.
Ramsay Street
Rick and Cody are still playing cricket. Rick goes to retrieve the tennis ball and finds a corkie ball in the hedge. He pockets one and bowls the corkie towards her - and gets her out. Cody goes to bowl with the corkie and Rick thinks he'll be amazing with a real ball. She bowls him out first go, hurting his leg in the process.
Number 30
Annalise and Elliot have popped over to tell Mark. Mark thanks Elliot for taking Annalise's mind off the situation! They leave. Ren says that Annalise is trying to make Mark jealous. Mark says she's not succeeded - and then confesses that he's maybe a little bit jealous.
Number 22
Cheryl is talking about her feelings to Lou. She felt that she's had to question their entire relationship, and he's betrayed her trust. Lou felt hurt and insulted that everyone jumped to the conclusion that he was having an affair. Cheryl reckons if he'd confessed immediately, none of that would've happened.
Lou throws back that Cheryl's had her own secrets - she never told him about Brett and Danni, nor Marlene. Lou said he kept Ling Mai a secret whilst he checked out she was telling the truth, and then he needed time to come to terms with the news himself. He admits that he should've told her. Lou tells her that she's the most important person in his life - and Louise too.
Cheryl wants to know when she can meet Ling Mai - and tells Lou to invite her over for dinner. Lou tells Lolly that she's going to meet her big sister.
Sam's Office
Sam is furious that Squirrel has told Danni. Danni swears she won't blab her mouth off. Sam wants to talk things through with Squirrel and Squirrel says she's made up her mind about what she wants to do.
