No.30
An awkward silence has descended, broken by Ryan who suggests that they all leave. They all get up to go, but Dorothy stops them, saying she wants to resign as Neighbourhood Watch coordinator. They explain that they do appreciate her efforts, but she's trying to do too much too soon. Helen thinks that Dorothy should stay on, but Dorothy is still upset. She invites them to stay for the buffet lunch she's prepared and they awkwardly agree.
No.26
Josh asks Todd if he's sure that it was Ferret that took his runners. Josh wants to organise a party to get back him, but Todd says he's on a good behaviour plan. Josh says all they have to do is put on a pair of runners as bait to draw them out, then they can identify them as they make a run for it. Josh reluctantly agrees to be the person wearing the runners and Todd says he knows where they can get a nice pair. Meanwhile, Todd says he'll carry a cricket bat around with him as protection! Jim comes in at that moment and invites himself out to the street with them for a game of cricket(!)
No.32
Joe is filming Sky and Bouncer playing. Melanie comes in and Joe asks her to film them both together. She has never used a camera before, but does her best with it. Toby comes in and asks them to come and play cricket, but first he wants to be in the video! Melanie films Toby and Sky together.
MELANIE: That's nice, the two kids together.
JOE:(quietly) For how long?
Toby and Sky wave at the camera.
No.28
Pam is feeling a bit contrite at upsetting Dorothy so much. Doug says Pam was perfectly justified in her words.
No.30
Helen and Dorothy are chatting about Ryan. Dorothy doesn't think the street are behind her anymore with the Neighbourhood Watch. She's decided to go it alone from now on - she's not upset with this afternoon's confrontation at all.
No.26
Jim and Helen are having a quiet glass of wine. Todd tells Jim that they're taking up kick- boxing together and Josh says it'll be great for defence against the Elliot Park mob(!) Jim reluctantly agrees. Apparently Josh has learnt kick- boxing previously so he'll teach them.
No.28
Pam and Doug are also having a quiet glass of wine when Dorothy pops around. Pam offers her a glass of wine, but Dorothy has come to tell them that she's recommended them as a suitable safety house. She's also cleared things up with the police. They apologise to each other and agree to forgive each other for flying off the handle. Dorothy decides to join them for a glass of wine after all.
No.32
Joe, Melanie and the kids are watching the tape back. unfortunately, the bit with Toby is cut off. He's upset and walks off. Melanie reassures Joe about the court hearing, at least it will be over sooner.
No.30
Dorothy tries to clear the air with Ryan. She suggests other ways to relax other than sedatives, for example, relaxing for an hour before bedtime. He agrees to try it. Dorothy promises to be more understanding in the future and Ryan agrees to come and talk to her about the pressures in the future.
No.26
Josh is getting Jim to kick a cushion. He is a very hard taskmaster and tells Jim and Todd that they're not doing very well. Jim ends up breaking a lamp. They decide to wait until they can practice outside. After one last move, Jim ends up hurting his knee.
(Later)
Jim has recovered (he was only joking!) and Helen is berating them for breaking the lamp. Josh pops back and Jim puts it on, lying groaning on the sofa(!) Josh brings Jim some magazines to read and apologises again. Josh looks very dejected and heads off.
On the outside porch, he tells Todd that they're all set for tomorrow's ambush.
No.28, the following morning
Pam answers the door to Joe. He's come to trim the trees around the sides and front. Pam tells him to carry on.
Doug is listening to his walkman. He's surprised to hear that Joe is cutting his trees - he didn't ask him to. They realise it must have been Dorothy that instructed Joe. Pam rolls her eyes.
PAM: Just when I thought all our troubles with Dorothy were over!
No.26
Paul comes in looking for Todd. He's not happy - Todd has borrowed his runners - he got Christina to hand them over behind his back! Helen realises that Todd and Josh are planning to flush out the runner thieves. Jim decides to drive down and have a look.
A road
Josh is wearing Paul's runners - they're a bit big for him! A bloke on a bike approaches Josh and Todd and invites them to a fight. Then three more guys approach and start pushing Josh around.
THUG: I'll give you a choice. Either I punch your head in, or you give me your treads.
Josh and Todd make a run for it, but the thugs manage to get one of Josh's runners off. They set off in pursuit.
No.32
Melanie is waiting for Joe to arrive home. She has played a message on the answerphone and looks very worried. The hearing is going to start next Tuesday. Joe is gutted.
A road
Todd and Josh have managed to out- run the thugs. They jump out on someone approaching with a cricket bat, but it turns out to be Jim!
JIM: If you're looking for trouble, you've got it!
