School Gym
The gang are intrigued to see Josh show up without his crutches; it seems his ankle injury has magically healed itself. Dorothy gathers the pupil's attention and introduces them to Ms Duncan, the dance teacher, who reminds the kids to enjoy the dancing. She asks for a volunteer to show the rest of them the waltz. With no one volunteering she picks Josh out the audience, but it would seem he has two left feet. Melissa eventually points out that he still has a sprained ankle, and Dorothy immediately instructs him to go home and rest his foot, preferably with the crutches. As Josh limps off, Melissa pairs up with Justin, as they start the dance.

Adam and Doug arrive home earlier than expected, complete with Adam's hand bandaged up. Pam is shocked to hear they have already been down to the hospital, and that Adam has severed a tendon, but should be okay. Pam starts to fret that Adam may no longer be able to follow his dream and be a surgeon, but Adam isn't keen to jump ahead and would rather wait until the stitches come out. Feeling rather guilty, Doug comments that they'll just have to wait and see.
Coffee Shop
Gathered around a table, Melissa jokes that Josh was silly to try and dance on a sprained ankle. Justin points out that it was a stupid thing to do and just highlights Josh's immaturity. As Justin goes to the counter, Cody points out that the only reason Josh did it was to stop her dancing with Justin, but Melissa doesn't believe her. Melissa realises that Josh is jealous of Justin, but decides to play along for a while, as payback to his earlier behaviour.
Robinsons
Dorothy is over talking to Helen. Jim arrives back and Dorothy takes the opportunity to persuade him to come to the school council meeting. Helen points out he'd be good at the fundraising and it'd always be a good opportunity to meet people. Dorothy mentions the friend she made through the dating agency, but seeing the hint, Jim comments that he's not quite ready for the lonely hearts club. The two women exchange glances.

Spilling the milk in his coffee, Adam decides it's best he goes and takes a rest. Pam wonders how the situation arose in the first place. Doug points out that he can't watch him 24/7 on the job and that cement mixers aren't complicated. Pam doesn't think it's good enough and points out that he is trained in the trade, unlike their son. Doug begins to feel got at by Pam, but she realises there will be further consequences should this incident ruin Adam's career.
Following his rest Adam re-appears. Cody asks him about the accident, and he makes it to sound all bloody and gory. Offering to show her his hand, he pulls out a fake skeleton, causing Cody to jump.
Coffee Shop
Josh feels like an idiot for making a fool of himself in front of the dance class, but Toby points out he shouldn't have been dancing anyway. Josh, still feeling threatened by Justin, is determined to make it to the next class, and claims he's found a way of doing so.
Robinsons
Jim decides to call an agency, and takes the opportunity whilst everyone else is out, claiming he's calling on behalf of a friend.
Willis'
Doug comes home to find Pam cutting up Adam's dinner for him. He apologises for the incident, claiming responsibility, but Adam still believes it to be an accident. Pam pipes up that he should never have gone to work on the site, but the bickering finally gets to Adam, and he asks his parents to quit the doom and gloom and accept that it has happened. Reluctantly they agree.
Robinsons
Josh reveals his plan to Todd, it's a two way sensitive microphone which he intends to plant in Melissa's school bag, and supposedly has a radius up to ten meters. He asks Todd to help him test it out. Placing it in Todd's shirt pocket, Josh hops outside to listen. Beginning to count to himself, Todd is saved by Melissa arriving. She happens to be early so he takes the opportunity to enquire as to who is the better kisser, him or Josh. She admits that Josh is boring with his kissing; not spontaneous like Todd was. Melissa continues to point out the floors in Josh's kissing, annoying Josh who is still outside. Heading back inside, Todd sees it as a good point to end the topic of conversation. Surprised to see him about, Melissa informs Josh that they were just talking about him.
Dating Agency
Jim has now filmed a video of himself for the dating agency, and the lady is explaining the next stage to him. They prefer to show fewer more suited clips to clients rather than all of them. She's narrowed it down to three potentials, but there is one in particular she has picked out for him. Starting to play the tape, Jim quickly decides this lady isn't for him. Surprised at his reaction, the agent suggests that he gives the lady on the tape a bit more of a chance. Revealing the video to be that of Dorothy, Jim decides that maybe he will watch it, if nothing but to gain some gossip.
School
Arriving at the school with headphones and crutches, Josh sits down outside to listen in on the dance class. Inside the gym, Todd helps him out by encouraging Melissa to leave her bag under the chair where they are all standing so they can 'keep it safe'. Justin arrives and wonders if Melissa would like to go for a drink (milkshake, not alcoholic) after class, but she claims she has homework to do instead. He offers to go skating with her instead, claiming that Josh won't be able to on his crutches. She eventually persuades him to leave, allowing Todd to come back over. He asks after Justin, and Melissa reveals she has no intention on dating him at all. Hearing the news he wanted to, Josh chuckles outside.
Willis'
Adam is explaining to Helen that the thing that worries him most about his accident is that he isn't able to write, and that with exams coming soon he may not be able to write for them either. Pam wonders if someone else could scribe for him, and Adam agrees to investigate. Helen suggests deferring for a year; Pam sees it as a good opportunity to have some extra time, but Adam would rather get the exams done.
Turning around to chat at the table, Pam admits to Helen that it's the worst time for something to happen like that.
School
Still listening from outside, Josh begins to sing along with the music as the others dance inside. Coming to the end of the class, Melissa returns to her bag, but Justin hasn't given up and asks her again for a date. She decline, and asks him why, to which he replies that she is great. Melissa is about to respond to Justin, but Josh is caught out by Dorothy, who tells him off for loitering on school grounds and instructs him to go home immediately. Returning to his headset, it seems Josh has missed Melissa's answer to Justin's question.
