Movie Tree House
With Josh still not moving down on the ground, Melissa panics about how she is going to get down out of the tree.
Mangel's
As their movie comes to an end, Gemma spots an advert that Matt has circled in the paper. He explains that if they are going to go away at the end of the year he's going to need a bit more cash. She points out how Helen is looking for a new driver for Home James, but Matt recons he doesn't have enough experience. Gemma mentions the dress shop that her friend runs instead but Matt isn't so keen. Gemma recons she might start working there anyway, as she won't have her coffee shop job much longer.
Movie Tree House
Josh rouses and seems to be alive apart from a twisted ankle. Melissa shouts at him for leaving her up in the tree, and demands he goes home and fetches a ladder for her.
Bishop's
Madge and Harold return home, and Gemma pops over to see them. Madge explains how Harold is feeling a lot better, and Gemma gives them the letter from Eddie. Harold reads it and shares with the others that Eddie thanks them. Harold chuckles as he reads the secret ingredient to the recipe, but refuses to tell Madge what it is, and heads to bed.
Mangel's
Matt is surprised to hear a knock at the door so late, and realises it's Josh. Josh explains how he fell out the tree, but Melissa is still there and asks to borrow the ladder. Matt agrees to go and help.
Coffee Shop
Gemma arrives to ask Harold if it would be OK to start her new job soon. Harold gives his blessing, but Dorothy butts in and wonders how Harold is going to cope as the service is slow enough as it is. She asks what Gemma's plans are for after school, but she doesn't know. Ryan pops over and mentions how he's going to join the police force, but Gemma mocks him. He tells her to butt out until she's made her mind up with what she wants to do.
As Gemma explains to Harold the benefits of working in the dress shop, Madge arrives with Sky. Gemma is about to ask Madge about the job, when the councillor arrives looking for Madge. Gemma has to rush off leaving Harold with Sky as Madge talks with the councillor. The councillor, whose name is Felicity, makes it pretty clear that she wants Madge on side when she goes to election later this year. Madge refuses on the basis that she thinks she won't be good for the local community. Felicity warns her she's making a mistake and leaves.
Lassiter's
Matt sneaks up on Ryan and picks his wallet out of his pocket from behind. He warns him he's going to have to be quicker of the mark if he's serious about becoming a cop. Ryan is annoyed that no one will take him seriously about his career aspirations, so Matt apologises and wishes him luck.
Coffee Shop
Harold warns Madge not to get into a battle with Felicity on the council, but Madge refuses to listen. Melissa, Josh and their friend, Justin arrive. Melissa is keen to go to the dance, but with Josh's twisted ankle he won't be able to go, so Justin offers to take her instead. Josh isn't so keen but eventually agrees to it.
Number 30
Ryan arrives back in a foul mood. Dot enquires as to why, and on learning how others are mocking him about the police force advises him to follow what he wants to do. Why should he let other people make decisions for him.
Coffee Shop
Melissa heads off leaving Justin and Josh to talk. Josh admits that dating Melissa is hard work and he's thought about dumping her. He recons with Justin taking her to the dance it'll make things easier. Justin admits he's thought about dating Melissa before, and now it'll work. Josh isn't too impressed.
Over at the bar, Matt and Harold are discussing Gemma's new job. Matt explains that he too has a new job in telesales. Harold isn't so impressed, but offers him good luck anyway. Matt goes over to talk to Josh, who explains what just happened between him and Justin. Matt advises that he goes and has a word to Justin to behave himself at the dance classes. Josh isn't so keen.
Dress Shop
As Gemma is being shown around the dress shop and told how the system works. The councillor Felicity arrives. She snaps at the lady and asks what has happened to some of the stock. As she goes off to the stock room, the lady explains that Felicity owns the dress shop and is Gemma's new boss.
Coffee Shop
Ryan pops by to pick up something for dinner and bumps into Matt. Matt tells him about his new job in telesales and lets Ryan mock him a bit. The guys call a truce, as Ryan grabs his dinner and leaves.
Bishop's
As Madge rants on some more about the councillor lady, Gemma arrives back from work. Harold enquires as to how her shift went, but Gemma goes quiet. She eventually lets slip that she's working in Felicity's shop. Madge demands that she quit her job immediately in the morning, but Gemma isn't so keen and informs Madge that she got the job on her own merits and plans to stick at it.
