Willis' Doug can't get his head around the idea that Cody may be anorexic, but Pam and Adam point out that all her behaviour fits the criteria. Adam tells his parents that having studied it he knows it is a psychological disorder often coming down to the fact that the patient feels unloved. They decide to remind Cody how much she is loved by the family. Number 30 Ryan tells Dorothy that he feels on the home stretch, now it's the last term of school. She reminds him not to forget about his year 12 exams, and asks if he has anything planned career wise. He tells him that he doesn't have a clue. Lassiters Complex Doug tells Des how he isn't convinced that Cody has anorexia, but Des is more concerned about the plan Melanie has for his departure the next day. When Des asks her what her plans are, she makes out that she doesn't have anything planned, but once he's left tells Doug about the big party they have planned at the Waterhole that night. Number 30 Dorothy asks Ryan how it went at school. He admits that he didn't go to see the careers advisor, and she admits he wouldn't have, so she went instead and brought back some brochures. * doesn't look impressed. Willis' Cody and Todd arrive back from school and head straight to the homework. Adam tries offering her some chicken, but she declines, and Pam doesn't have much luck as she comes through with magazines talking about how bad it is, with all the girls looking so skinny. Pam invited Todd to stay for dinner, they're having spaghetti bolognaise. Cody doesn't look impressed, and even less so when Pam and Adam continue talking about the importance of a healthy balanced diet. Cody makes an escape heading out with a packet of biscuits. Pam asks Adam to follow her and see if she eats them. Coffee Shop Melanie arrives and spots Des having a lonely coffee. He talks about heading over to the Waterhole, but she persuades him otherwise, before quickly leaving. Ramsay Street Adam watches as Cody happily scoffs the lot of biscuits as Todd plays around with the basketball. Doug arrives home and gives Cody a hug, once he's left, she mentions to Todd that her whole family is acting odd. Number 30 Dorothy is busy filling in an options form for Ryan about his career options, but he points out that she's answering it not him. She tells him he needs as many options as possible to get the best choice of careers. Lassiter's Office Des arrives looking for some company, but Paul informs him he's far too busy and they'll have to meet up later. Once Des has left, Mel and Paul have a quiet celebration that their plan appears to be working. Willis' Doug doesn't believe that Cody is anorexic. Adam admits it no longer looks that way and that maybe she is bulimic. Doug declares it's gone far enough and they are going to get it out of her that evening. Number 30 Ryan finishes filling out the careers option form for himself, but while Dorothy gets answers such as teacher and lawyer, Ryan comes out with bank clerk and accountant. The phone rings and Ryan persuades Dorothy to answer it. It's John, inviting her to dinner that night. Willis' Doug passes Cody her dinner, but she refuses to eat it. After a bit of persuasion she eventually admits that she's turned vegetarian, in protest of animal rights. She laughs at her parents idea that she was anorexic, but they are glad to hear she is ok. She heads to the kitchen to make a vegetarian sauce for the pasta. Waterhole Paul arrives and comments on Melanie's wonderful efforts with the party. She asks what time Des is arriving, but Paul tells her that was her job to tell him. They realise neither of them have invited him. Random Street Des climbs into a taxi and asks to be taken to the airport. |
