Beverly's Flat
Beverly says she hasn't told Jim yet and asks Kerry not to tell anyone. Beverly says she is only 5 ½ weeks and she is worried that a miscarriage might happen again. Also, she hasn't heard from Jim at all while he has been in New York but she will have this child alone if he doesn't want it.

Toby, Lochie and Natasha are playing with Bouncer, Joe is angry because of all the noise and makes them play Scrabble! Toby is upset because he only got a non-speaking part in the school play, the girls argue as Toby sits quietly but the argument turns into a fight, Toby breaks it up. Joe is fed up though and sends them outside along with Bouncer!

JOE: Kids, who'd have them?

Dorothy is still looking for Ryan, she can't find him, Helen says he probably just needs some space and Dorothy leaves to continue looking.

MADGE: It seems to me that if someone is put in charge of teenagers that she should be able to control them!

Number 32
Natasha and Lochie are still arguing, Kerry arrives home and tries to tell Joe about the baby but Joe keeps talking and heads off to the pub for some peace and quiet.

Number 30
Ryan arrives home but he won't say where he has been. Dorothy makes him sit down at the table, she says they have to start getting along; Dorothy says she won't resign and Ryan can't move schools again so they have to find a solution to their problems and Ryan has to think of it!

Number 32
Joe arrives home; he is singing and quite obviously drunk! Kerry has a cushion under her jumper but Joe doesn't notice, he keeps talking about how noisy the kids were earlier. Kerry has to spell it out to him and says she is pregnant, Joe is delighted but Kerry is worried about how Toby will react.

Number 30
Lochie is messing around, she doesn't want to go to the Dentist, Ryan tells Lochie to do what Dorothy says! Lochie goes to brush her teeth. Ryan says he has been thinking and thinks that at school they should act like they aren't related and should treat each other as normal student/teacher. Dorothy thinks this is a great idea and she asks him to collect Lochie from the dentist.

Number 24
Sharon rushes off to school as Helen arrives, she wants to know how Madge's first meeting went, Madge says it was a disaster, the Jack Ramsay Memorial is still going to be demolished and she didn't understand what was going on, Harold and Helen reassure her that she will get used to it.

The Coffee Shop
Ryan is late for collecting Lochie but there is no-one to look after the shop, Sharon says she can't and she leaves, Ryan follows, leaving the shop empty.

Number 32
Joe and Kerry tell Toby about the baby, he is really pleased but wants to know how babies are made! Joe doesn't really know what to say, he starts with the stork story but Kerry says Joe should tell Toby the truth. Joe starts to show Toby some diagrams in a book and explains about tadpoles and eggs! Natasha and Lochie arrive and Toby tells them about the baby.

Number 30
Ryan arrives home and Dorothy is angry, she doesn't let Ryan explain and he storms off. Harold is at the door and tells Dorothy that Ryan closed the Coffee Shop, he isn't happy and Dorothy looks a bit confused!

Number 32
Beverly is just leaving as Harold arrives, he is very happy and prepares to make a toast, however, and he spots Toby with the diagrams from earlier and is a bit surprised that Toby is looking at the female reproductive system!

Dorothy apologises to Ryan who accepts it

Kerry thinks Beverly should tell Jim but she doesn't want to Kerry says she should just phone and talk about other things, Beverly does but when she gets through to Jim's room another woman answers.
