Recap
Joe finds his ute has gone missing. He shouts at Jim for not telling the police about the car thieves he disturbed earlier in the evening.
Robinsons
Beverly tells Helen that Rhys is still asleep. Todd is still stressed about his speech.
Jim comes in and tells Helen and Beverly about Joe's ute being stolen. He admits that he forgot to alert the police.
Mangels
Joe is ranting to Kerry and Toby about Jim's negligence. Kerry says it'll be OK - Joe has insurance, he'll just have to wait for it to come through. In the meantime, Joe will have to find some other work. Toby offers Joe some of his pocket money that he's saved up!
Bishops
Madge is looking forward to a relaxing day and Harold suggests that she comes to the Coffee Shop for lunch. Bronwyn is looking forward to concentrating on her job at the vets and tells Harold that he'll need to find a full-time person to cover the work at the Coffee Shop.
Robinsons
Paul comes to see Helen. He has heard about Helen's traffic accident from Jim. Helen says it was her own fault and she's giving up driving from now on. She says that she's too old to drive now. Paul and Beverly look shocked.
School
Nick is preparing the tape for Todd to mouth to and they are about to have a practice run, but the tape jams. Todd starts to panic.
The Coffee Shop
Paul has received a complaint about the possum and has come in to tackle Harold. Bronwyn is also there and tells Paul that it was all her fault. Paul is very angry and says that something like this gives the whole Lassiters complex a bad name. Harold sticks up for Bronwyn and says she's learnt her lesson now.
Robinsons
Nick has got a new tape and reassures Todd that everything will be fine this evening.
Helen tells Beverly that she's not going to Todd's presentation - she doesn't feel up to a night out. She tells Beverly to stop fussing over her.
Beverly tells Jim that the police have found the ute, but it's been entirely stripped and the tools have gone. Jim says he might have a way to make things up to Joe.
Mangels
Joe is sitting dejectedly worrying about money. Kerry suggests that they take up Harold's offer of a loan, but Joe doesn't want charity.
Just then Jim calls round. Joe is not at all pleased to see him. Jim explains that he's recently bought a combi van, and offers Joe the use of it until his insurance comes through. Joe's anger evaporates and he thanks Jim profusely.
Kerry suddenly has a great idea - the whole family could take off in the combi and go fruit-picking: they'd earn money and the kids would get a holiday at the same time!
School
Todd is about to make his presentation and stands on the podium. Unfortunately the tape jams again, so Todd has to make his speech "live". He starts nervously, but gradually gets into his stride.
Bishops
Harold is dressed in his cub uniform. Helen pays Madge a visit and tells her about her near miss in the car yesterday. Helen starts to cry and says that she hasn't got the reactions that she used to. Madge tells Helen that she's getting things way out of perspective but Helen says she isn't - everyone thinks that she's old. Also she feels forgetful. Madge tells Helen that she's not past it yet but Helen won't have any of it.
Robinsons
Everyone arrives home and apparently Todd's speech went very well.
Mangels, the following morning
Kerry, Joe, Toby and Sky are loading up the combi. Madge and Harold come to see them off. Harold is a bit sad that they won't be around for Christmas, but Joe says that Santa will find them OK.
Ramsay Street
Madge sees Helen walking along and goes up to talk to her.
Robinsons
Madge is trying to persuade Helen to spend the day with her, but Helen thinks it sounds too exhausting(!) Madge says that she'll sit there until Helen says yes and she eventually agrees.
The Coffee Shop
Harold is sad that Kerry and Sky have gone away for Christmas. Bronwyn says that Joe tries very hard to look after his family.
A man comes in and introduces himself as a Health Inpspector - he's had a complaint about the possum. He says that Harold could be fined.
