Bishops
Kerry has put Sky to bed and Harold asks for a word with her. He sits her down in the living room and tells her that her arrival caught him off-guard. He says her gypsy ways are against the grain for him, but he thought that maybe she could bring him up to date with modern ways while she's staying with them. Kerry agrees and goes off to bed happily.
Madge tells Harold that she's very proud of him for what he said to Kerry.
Joe comes round with a bunch of flowers for Madge to thank her for her help that afternoon in getting Toby back. Harold still thinks that Toby is better off with his mother and Joe tells him to keep his beak out of other people's business.
Paul and Gail's
Gail is ranting at Paul for taking advantage of his grandmother. Paul says that Helen supports his decision wholeheartedly. Gail says she's going to sleep in the spare room and storms off.
Robinsons
Helen is telling Jim off over breakfast - she says her money is her own and she's not senile yet.
Sharon comes in and Nick serves her some scrambled eggs. She's worried about going back to school next week. Nick says he doesn't want to go back to school. Having dropped that bombshell, he goes off to take a shower.
Ramsay Street
Joe is cleaning his car when Kerry comes up. She asks for directions to Allen Road. Joe offers her a life but she says she's found her way around stranger places than Erinsborough.
JOE: You're new around here, aren't you?
KERRY: Is that the best you can do?
JOE: Well, you've caught me on the hop a bit!
She introduces herself as Kerry Bishop and Joe laughs his head off when he realises she's Harold's daughter. He grins at her a bit and offers her a guided tour. Kerry agrees to meet him back in Ramsay Street in an hour. Joe is chuffed!
Paul and Gail's
Gail tells Mark that he just has to be patient where Jane's concerned - she needs time to come to terms with things. Gail says she'll be back soon enough.
Gail apologises for Paul putting the hard word on him the night before. Paul comes in and Mark apologises for letting him down on the investment. Paul is very rude to him, so Mark decides to leave.
When he's gone, Gail tells Paul off for being so rude to Mark. Paul tells her to get off his back.
Bishops
Madge and Harold are hanging out with Sky and it's obvious that they love her very much already. Madge says that Sky doesn't look like she's missed out on any meals ever - she's very well. Madge thinks Kerry is a wonderful mother.
Harold enquires after Charlene and Madge says she's thinking of giving her and her father a ring later to see how they are.
Kerry comes in with some shopping. She asks Madge and Harold to look after Sky this afternoon - a neighbour asked her out and she doesn't want to drag Sky along. Harold looks suddenly concerned when he enquires what neighbour it was and Kerry says it was Joe Mangel. He tells Kerry that he's not a suitable escort for her and she's not to go out with him. Kerry says that she makes her own decisions now.
When Harold has gone, Kerry tells Madge that she's not going to take any rubbish from Harold - she never has in the past.
Robinsons
Sharon is washing up. (She seems to be wearing a clown costume?!)
Nick comes back from his shower and tells Helen and Jim that he feels good about himself. He wants to be realistic - the last two years of school are for kids who want to go to Uni. He says that's not him - he'd rather specialise in art: go to tec and study or get a job in an art studio. Jim says he has to keep in mind that there aren't many jobs in his field and many kids who have left school are on the dole now. Jim says if he was hiring, he'd choose a kid with education over one that didn't have it. Sharon says that if he leaves, Year 11 will be the pits.
Garden of Paul and Gail's
Paul is working outside on the garden table. Gail comes out with a drink for him - she seems to be in a better mood. She tells Paul that the IVF clinic just rang - they want her back in on Monday. Paul says that they can't afford to do the IVF this time - they should give it a miss.
Mangels
Joe answers the door to Kerry and compliments her on her appearance. She asks Joe what's happened between him and Harold. Joe says it's just because he's a bit different and Kerry can relate to that! Kerry says she likes Madge very much and says she's minding Sky for her. Joe says he's got a child too. Kerry tells Joe how she loves her life with Sky - she doesn't find having a child a drag at all. Sky is a great traveller too. Joe says they could go to the Coffee Shop, but then remembers that Harold will be there, so it might not be such a good idea. Kerry says that the Coffee Shop will have vegetarian food which is her thing - so Harold will just have to wear it.
Paul and Gail's
Gail is washing up furiously while Paul protests that they don't have the money to do the IVF this time. Gail is very angry - there's nothing more important than having a child. She says that Paul has forgotten all his values. She storms off.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Joe and Kerry are getting on well and talking about Toby. He tells her how much he misses him and Kerry puts her hand on his in sympathy.
Harold comes up to take their order. Kerry orders a garden salad and an orange juice while Joe orders pie, chips and a chocolate milkshake(!).
Kerry laughs - she says Joe should do his thing and she'll do hers!
Garden of the Robinsons
Madge is telling Helen about Kerry's date with Joe. Gail comes up and joins them. She tells them what's happened with the IVF program and she's not sure that it's a temporary postponement.
Robinsons
Harold calls to speak to Madge urgently, so Jim goes to the garden to get her. While he's waiting, he tells Kerry that Madge won't be in any frame of mind to look after Sky, so she'd better go home immediately.
When Madge comes to the phone, Harold tells her that Madge's mother has rung - her father has had a heart attack. It sounds serious and her mother wants her to come straightaway.
Paul and Gail's
Gail has packed a bag and says she's moving into Lassiters. She says until he changes his tune, she doesn't want to live with him.
