Ian is reassuring Rob that he isn't in the game of 'divide and conquer'. He respects the fact that Rob brought up Gail and the only reason he is in Erinsborough is to talk to her but this isn't good enough for Rob and he tells Ian that he has had the last twenty years to talk to her. Apparently Gail might not want to know him anyway as he is a 'patronizing sport'. Gail comes with some coffee and asks if everything is alright. Ian replies that they were just discussing a few things. Gail tries to usher Rob to go but he makes it perfectly clear that he is staying put.

Madge argues her case and says that Mrs. Mangel is being 'deliberately obstructive'. Madge attempts to be polite but only receives a big fat "No!" from Mrs. Mangel. Madge retaliates,"If that's the way you want it, then that is the way you'll have it. I have just began to fight!" Madge promptly leaves, much to Mrs. Mangel's disgust.
Paul and Gail's
Rob gives Gail a kiss, thanks her for the coffee and leaves. Ian says that he is doubtful he'll get along with Rob but Gail says that he is just nervous. Gail explains that she feels more comfortable with calling Rob 'Dad' and Ian says that he doesn't mind and if it makes her feel more comfortable then he can call her Ian. It is his name after all. They both go to make some coffee and Gail hints that she'd like to see him again so Ian suggests that they both go horse riding tomorrow before she travels to the country for the wedding. Ian says unless Gail is wearing a wig then she is 'in'. Whatever the hell that means.

Ian decides that he has to go but reminds Gail about horse riding which they have both been looking forward to all day. At the door way, Ian gives Gail a quick peck on the cheek.
